BelizeIt Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 (edited) Wow! I Can't Believe it! Cleveland Was Swept! Ouch!!! The RedSox claimed the WildCard! And the Dam Yankees take the Division Title! Eventhough they had the same record as the Sox!!! Come-on MLB lets have a one game Playoff Match Rather than the Pathetic current system!!! Anyhow, the Angels should give the Yankees a good series. I feel that they are evenly matched! The RedSox will of course beat the WhiteSox and face, probably the Yankees, yet again in the ALCS! I hope that the RedSox pitching staff is up to the challenge, because they are not as strong as they were a year ago. Regardless....Go RedSox!!! Edited October 3, 2005 by BelizeIt
Gregory DG Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 The RedSox claimed the WildCard! And the F-cken Yankees take the Division Title! Eventhough they had the same record as the Sox!!! Come-on MLB lets have a one game Playoff Match Rather than the Pathetic current system!!! That's the same deal the Cards had to go through a few years back. (I believe the Cards-Astros were the first teams to tie since this wild card thing got started.) Anyway, they gave the division to the Astros. Cards claimed they were "Co-Champions" but at this point, who cares? Just be happy to be in the playoffs!
Sir Clinksalot Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I wouldn't count out the White-Sox. This is the way I see the first round going. Angels defeat Yankees in 4 White Sox defeat Red Sox in 5 Cardinals defeat Padres in 3 Astros defeat Braves in 5
Bubba Z Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I was at the Nationals game today, it's a bummer that they lost. At least the Phils didn't make it to the playoffs. The Phillies wouldn't have made the playoffs if they were ten games up with 12 to go. Getting swept by the Astro's, losing to the Mets when they were up 4-0 and all the other games they should of won, hurts. You shouldn't have to count on the Cubs to win to keep your playoff hopes alive.
ParkTrips Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 My picks: Astros in 4 Cards in 4 BoSox in 5 Angels in 4 Angels in 6 Cards in 7 Cards in 6 .. and they'll open a new stadium with a new banner 8)
Joe Cool Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 ^Hell Yeah!!!! Yesterday was the last regular season game at Busch and they invited back all Cardinal greats with a huge celebration. It was really cool.
PhishyBrewer Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 Crap! The Chicago killed Boston today!
Sir Clinksalot Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 An Angels vs. Cardinals World Series would be nice. But I'm afraid Jim Edmonds would come back to bite the Angels in the ass. Go White Sox!!! Down with the Red Sox!!!
BelizeIt Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 The RedSox went Down Hard! Dam!!! They Will Win on Wednesday! Pedro should have been the Pitcher in that game, but the RedSox Management decided to do without him this year! Big Mistake! We would have won the Division Title, and this game, if we still had Pedro. I thought the Angels would have done better against the Yankees! I hope they can split the series, otherwise the Yankees will advance to the ALCS! The Padres peaked my interest in the 9th Inning! They could have pulled it out! So Close........
PhishyBrewer Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 (edited) Reggie Sanders is still alive? Edited October 6, 2005 by PhishyBrewer
Gregory DG Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Reggie Sanders in still alive? LOL! Yes, and this is the second year of his two year contract with the Cards! Previously he had like five 1-year contracts in a row from different teams!
PhishyBrewer Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 That's it, the Red Sox are a bunch of idiots once again.
Gregory DG Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 That's it, the Red Sox are a bunch of idiots once again. Hey, it's only another 85 years until their next championship.
BelizeIt Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 ^Hey wait a second! Wasn't it a year ago that the RedSox were Down by Three Games in the ALCS? Remember they are heading back to Fenway, where I believe they had the best Home Record in the MLB. So after Two RedSox Victories at Fenway, it will all come down to game five! Go RedSox!!!
PhishyBrewer Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 ^When you have followed the Red Sox as long as I have, you know when to give up before your heart becomes broken... again.
65skylark Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I'm not really a Braves fan but Smoltz looked fantastic tonight. Roger Clemens, not so good.
PhishyBrewer Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 ^Are they(Braves fans) still bitter about the stike? i mean, come on. It was like 10 years ago. Sorry... that was random.
ParkTrips Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Bitter about the strike? No, I know that was random, so I'll say something random: Almost all Braves fans suck. I hate the Braves.
Gregory DG Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Tonight the Braves fans were dressed up as seats.
BelizeIt Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Predictions for Friday Nights MLB Playoffs. The RedSox Pull out a win with Wakefield! On their way towards Evening up the series at Fenway! (Come-on PhishyBrewer...Dont Lose Faith) Granted the pitching staff is only a shadow of what it was last year, but you can count out the Soxs!!! The Los Angeles Angels will Beat the Yankees in Yankees Stadium! To take a 2 to 1 lead in this series! Go Angels!!! Screw the Yankees!!!
alpengeistdude321 Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 F***ing Padres!!! You guys suck ass!!! You grounded into 3 inning ending double plays!!! Stop wasting those great oppertunitys!!!
Gregory DG Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Padres had no chance against the mighty Cardinals. It's like David vs. Goliath except David forgot his slingshot...
