Hhappy Posted March 7, 2013 Author Posted March 7, 2013 Let's go back to Scandi Boomerang coasters are always fun. This one was called Boomerang and located at Karolinelund locals scream if you enjoy the ride
TPDave Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Didn't this place close? I remember we weren't there for long but it certainly wasn't the worst boomerang I've been on!
SharkTums Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 ^Pretty sure it did. Honestly, if any of the 'bigger' parks in Denmark was going to close I guess I'd say I'm happy it's this one? It still craps all over most parks and is sad, but with so many awesome places in Denmark I'm glad it wasn't one of the others that closed.
Shockwave Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I went there 3 times in the space of a year, and it was dead every single time, even during hot summer evenings. I love the inner city parks you find in Scandinavian cities, and it's sad to see a place like this go, but out of all of them, this was probably the weakest. Not much to do, nothing exciting to keep you there and not pulling in the crowds as a result.
Hhappy Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 For some reason i'm thinking Scandi Scandi Scandi lately. Guess i'm getting excited for another visit.. anyway.. Djurs Sommerland is mostly known for Piraten.. But it also has another coaster and sometimes it's more about location and surroundings than the ride itself Thor's hammer is fun as well. So yeah, win win
Guy T. Koepp Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I am loving all this SCANDI beauty! I say we keep this up for another year!
Hhappy Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 something different today... I just remembered I never posted an image from Skyline Parks Sky Wheel in this thread. Got to visit this park back in 09 at the start of the season. The park (to me) was a little place with plenty to do for most ages. it looks like they are getting a "new" spinner installed this year so I might have to get back there someday.. anyway. enough said, picture time it's a skyloop locals having fun that "oh crap" moment
cfc Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Those Skyloops are surprisingly good--and those are great pictures, Hanno.
Werner Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 'Oh crap!' We should have a pic like that this summer too! Great ones again Hanno!
Hhappy Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Vicky The Ride - Plopsa Coo Spent some time at the park.. looking forward to the moment something new will be added there.. It's a bit of the "normal" track themed station building spinner fun
cfc Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 ^If this is "Vicky the Ride," they should build another coaster next to it named "Debbi." Well, whatever the name, it looks completely nuts.
Hhappy Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 Let's go back in time to Japan 2011. The park: Yokohama Cosmoworld The ride: Diving Coaster: Vanish dive dive dive
cfc Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) That coaster makes for some cool photos. If not always a "cool" ride. Edited March 11, 2013 by cfc
Hhappy Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Just found this Sheikra image from my 2011 visit to Busch Gardens Tampa. Sometimes I have to remind myself why I continue to take coaster pictures.. The people's reactions are always fun and make it worth the time and effort (I guess) so that helps enjoy.
Hhappy Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Since Silver Dollar City is in the news all day long (for all the good reasons) How about some Powder Keg: A Blast in the Wilderness love?? enjoy a few pictures from my 2010 visit. Looking forward to later this year against the sky between the trees happy riders
Guy T. Koepp Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Love that ride! So beautiful there in the trees on that hillside. Great pictures Hanno.
jray21 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Not only is it a great picture, you got a picture of the World's Greatest Dad!
cfc Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Great shots, Hanno. Much like Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood, Powder Keg is an excellent example of how to turn an not-so-good ride (the old Buzzsaw Falls) into a great one.
televisedconfession Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I'm excited to check this out later this year. Looks like a fun ride!
larrygator Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Not only is it a great picture, you got a picture of the World's Greatest Dad! and the guy next to him has a real cool shirt.
Hockeyman55 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Just found this Sheikra image from my 2011 visit to Busch Gardens Tampa. Sometimes I have to remind myself why I continue to take coaster pictures.. The people's reactions are always fun and make it worth the time and effort (I guess) so that helps enjoy. Love this Shiekra picture! Such a great capture Hanno!
Hhappy Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 Let's take a "small" jump in time and go back to 2010. Location: Carowinds Ride: Intimidator enjoy
