The infrastructure and landscaping is slowly coming together now, only one month left until splashdown!

Here are two photos of the wave pool and river testing

From August, a select group of lucky thrill-seekers, wannabe-surfers and swimmers will experience Cartoon Network Amazone for the very first time. Initially, in a pre-opening period, these invited guests and annual pass holders will be the only members of the public to sample the excitement of the world's first and only Cartoon Network-themed waterpark, as operator Amazon Falls Co. Ltd continues to embed and fine-tune systems, processes and procedures at the park.

While many key features of the park will be operational, others are in the final stages of completion and undergoing some cosmetic fine-tuning, including the retail and food-and-beverage outlets. The grand opening -- when all features will be operational -- is scheduled for the end of the year.

Found some areal photos!

The huge sphere slide have not opened yet. My guess have been that they have been having problems with it, and I now got it confirmed. They are re-profiling it to have a smaller slop into the sphere, thanks to the slide over-speeding.

Here's how it looked at first:

5.jpg.b7c8b9cb94e15e9cee6494e657e36372.jpg

And here's how it looks now after the re-build:

To be honest, the fall from the top of the drop and down into the bottom of the sphere was ridiculously big, so this is probably a good thing! Looks like it will be more similar to a tornado drop in size now.

It should open up really soon now. Can't wait for a video to see how this goofy slide will ride!

I read the great post on the Cartoon Network Amazone and decided to take my nephews there. We went there last week and it was amazing. Even my fiancée and I had loads of fun. I like how the park is designed so that you can have fun with the entire family but, if the adults get tired, they can easily sit at any of the comfortable chairs available around the park and still be able to keep an eye on their kids.

We booked our tickets on a website called Klook, recommended by one of our Thai friends. Check it out coz we got to save a around 4-5 USD on every ticket (it was 5 of us so we did save enough for souvenirs).

Overall great park! Loved it!

^^Video doesn't seem to work, sadly.

But luckily I found another POV of the Magic Sphere on the Polin channel. Starts at 2:15.
