Invertalon
Some pictures from this first annual event at Kennywood... The crowd was quite large and the park looked great. They really did an awesome job with the lights. For the price, it was a great way to spend an hour or two at the park with a few select rides open as well. I hope next year they expand the event to more of the park, maybe including the full size turtle. Some of the rides open include the kiddy area, Auto Race, The Kangaroo, Aero 360, Merry-Go-Round and a few other rides. On to the pictures... Kangroo is awesome. Penguin Display... Fitting, no? View from across the lake... They had a light show that followed along to music. Around the lake they sold hot cocoa, smores and had bondfires to keep warm. Bye bye Santa! Final shot of the tree before heading out.

xmichellex
Beautiful pics! LOVE the way they did up the bare trees in lights, they look so good...
anonymouscactus
Wow, those are fantastic photos! Thanks for sharing. In photo #4 / Welcome To Kennywood sign, it bothers me that the first letter of every word is capitalized except for the word "you're". Something tells me they used the wrong form of the word and then changed it later on.

Invertalon
They were claiming over a million lights were used for the event. I was just suprised how complete it all looked, especially for a first-time event. It looked like they have been doing it for years as they did a really nice job with it all. Like I said above, I hope it expands next year to include more of the park.
Dailey Enterprizes
This looks awesome. I had no idea they were running rides too... weather permitting I guess.
gisco
I like seeing how all the different parks decorate for Christmas.
cfc
^Agreed. It's good to see more parks holding events after the Halloween. Kennywood looks great. I particularly like the idea of a "light show" on the lake. BGW should try that with the Rhine River during Christmas Town.
mattnz
Wow I thought Kennywood looked great at night on TPR's visit this summer, but all those Christmas lights have made the place look really spectacular. Thanks for sharing!
Chrisrad
That's their first time doing this? That's quite impressive, especially for $12.99.
CMK
It was quite amazing for it being the first year. My wife & I took our 1 1/2 yr old daughter on Sunday and had a great time. We actually liked it better than Candy Cane Lane at Hershey Park.
