XII
All right, about a month and a half ago, there was this awesome awesome trip known as the TPR Northeast Trip. And just like the Middle America Trip, it kicked lots and lots of ass. Robb & Elissa really went all out for this trip, and it shows in its awesomeness. I'd continue to talk about it, except there aren't enough words in the english language to do so, so here are some photos to show you how this trip began. After waiting all summer, I'm finally leaving for the Northeast Trip!!! So excited!!! Ventura at sunset. No seriously, our captain said "We're currently flying over Ventura and will reach San Francisco in 50 minutes." So I had to snap a photo. See, those are indeed the Channel Islands we're flying over. Hi Cody!!!! Sweet!!!! First park of the trip!!!! Man, this place is a dump. I was expecting something along the lines of Scandia, but this place makes Scandia look like Disneyland in comparison. Somehow, I have a feeling that that Subway has cockroaches. This park is amazing. They managed to get the rights to not only show Pinnochio from Disney, but they also got Warner Bros to give them the rights to Porky Pig as well. Because when I think quality, I think of Pinnochio and Porky Pig. But whatever. No need to talk about copyrighted characters. We have credits to get. You know, for being in a dumpy little credit whore park, this is a really good coaster. The best way for me to describe Crossbow would be to call it a giant rollerskater on steroids. Oh look. Hannah Barbera gave Bowcraft the right to the Flinstones as well. Oh yeah. Bowcraft still has one more credit for us to get. Cha Ching!!!! Dude!!! We got the credits already. Let's get the hell out of this dump and go somewhere that's actually cool!!! Yeah. Like New York City. Let's go there!! If you ever wanted to know what the inside of the Lincoln Tunnel looked like, it looks something like this. Yep. We have arrived in New York City all right. Better hope that the people on the bottom layers don't end up sleeping in or else you're screwed. "Excuse me, but just where could I find a taxi?" All right. We're just gonna hang out in Central Park now. Right? Ooh. What's that I see right there? Ooh. It's a small little park. So much for just hanging out in New York City. And what do you know. They've got a credit. Cha Ching!!! "You know, riding a kiddy coaster in the middle of Central Park just isn't pathetic enough for me. So make things even more pathetic, I actually bought my on ride photo." All that credit whoring made me hungry. Who wants a waffle? That is just as good as it looks. All right. Let's check out FAO Schwartz. The biggest Toystore in New York City. SO MUCH NERDS!!!!!!!! Oh, and you can make your on freaking Muppet here!!! Which is totally awesome!!! I so would've done it if it wasn't $100!! "This is my muppet, and if you mess with me, he will come and kick your ass!!!" All right. Time to head over to Scott's Pizza Tour. Let's meet up wih him and take the Subway. L.A's Public Transportation Sucks!!!! Oh yeah. Nothing makes a better gift than Rice Pudding!!! And for dinner, we went on one of Scott's Pizza Tours, which hunts and shows you all of the best pizza New York has to offer. The first stop on Scotts Pizza Tour would be Lombardi's Pizza. The Mona Lisa approves of Lombardis. This was our Pizza Tour Survival Kit, you know, just in case anything came up during the tour. As part of the Pizza Tour, we got to see the coal brick oven that cooked the pizzas!! "Hmm. I wonder if those coals are hot? Maybe I should touch them and find out." The Pizza served at Lombardis is called a Margarita Pizza, which pretty much means unmixed pizza. It was very good. The cheese was strong, the crust was crispy, and the tomato sauce had a nice zing to it. (Though that may have just been the parsley. Nah.) Though one problem I had with it was the inconsistancy (As you can see in the photo.) Sometimes you got a real cheesy bite, while other times was pure tomato. Next stop on Scotts Pizza Tour would be Arturo's Pizza. This place was also a coal brick oven place like Lombardis, but it was very different. So the two showed us how two coal brick oven places can be so different. The pizza at Arturos was also really good. The cheese was all hot and melty, and the sauce was very sweet and tangy. And it all mixed together really well. "DUDE!!!! STOP TRYING TO EDUCATE ME AND JUST GIVE ME SOME MORE F*CKING PIZZA!!!!" New York City is awesome. New World Trade Center Construction. The final pizza place we went to was Famous Ben's Pizza, a Silican Pizza Place. OMG!!!! THE PIZZA HERE!!!!!! SO F*CKING GOOD!!!!!!! The sauce is really sweet and the bread crumbs and onions that they put on top really give it a powerful zing. It just mixes together so well and pretty much is an orgasm in your mouth. Totally the Maverick of Pizzas, and by far, my favorite pizza of the night. After the awesome pizza of Scott's Pizza Tour, we went to Roccos for some Canolies. These canolies were awesome. Hot and fresh right out of the oven with the creme filled right before they were served to you. And that concludes Day 1. Crappy Credits and New York Awesomeness. Tomorrow, we're off to Coney Island to check out one of the most famous coasters, the Coney Island Cyclone. Edited October 27, 2011 by XII

XII
All right. Time for Day 2 of the trip (Well, techincally it was Day 0 since the trip didn't officially start until tomorrow.) It was pretty cool to get to go to Coney Island and check out the Coney Island Cyclone as well as the Wonder Wheel. I really like what Zamperla has done to the park and hope to see many improvements in the future. Anyways, onto the photos. All right. Day 2 of the trip begins with a very interesting drive through New York City. If you're going to litter, just make sure you don't do it from 9:30 - 11:00 AM on Tuesdays. YAY!!!!!! WE MADE IT TO CONEY ISLAND!!!!!!! Hmm. I know they have a very famous roller coaster over at Coney Island. But I just can't put my finger on it. I know they've tried to clone it everywhere, but could never come quite close to the original, but I still can't figure it out. Oh I know!!!! It's that new Volare!!!!! It quickly rose up as one of the most famous and historical coasters of all times!!! (In case you haven't figured it out, I'm making sh*t up here. It's so obviously the Coney Island Cyclone.) The Coney Island Cyclone is a very interesting ride. It's got nice laterals and some really crazy pops of ejector air. But it really does beat the living crap out of you. Have fun you guys. Aside from the Coney Island Cyclone, Coney Island has one other famous attraction. Deno's Wonder Wheel. Sadly not. Truely a shame that Mickey's Fun Wheel is the ONLY other swinging Ferris Wheel. Only the cool people take the swinging cars. (Oh wait, never mind. None of us are cool.) Dear world, please make more Ferris Wheels like this. Dude, their Shock Drop is awesome!!! Much better than the one at Scandia. They've also got Spookorama, which is an interesting dark ride to say the least. "What the f*ck is this ride about?" "Do you think any of those guys saw Zookeeper?" "Are you my mother?" All right. Up next, would be Sea Serpent. Our first kiddy coaster of the day. Hey, for a kiddy coaster, it was actually decent. Better than both of yesterdays kiddie coasters. NERD!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh boy. Another Volare. I had really liked Time Warp @ Canada's Wonderland, so I was hoping this would be just as good. And it was. In fact, this one may actually be even better. That is some of the best hangtime ever!!! Up next is a modern take on a Coney Island Classic, the Steeplechase. We love these horses. They will soon become some of the finest glue around. Dude! This ride kicks Pony Express's ass, and then sh*ts on it's corpse!!! It's actually fun, got a decent layout, and some good laterals as well. Hey Nick, what would this be called in Paramedic Talk? Oh, and they also have the Original Famous Nathans here. And considering how much I loved the chain, going to the original was pretty sweet. Best hot dog I've had in my life. Nuff said. Just in case you forgot where we were. Whoops. Looks like we stumbled onto the X-Rated Coney Island. Well, at least we know where Ceaser is. All right. Up next, we took a spin on the Tickler. Tickler was an awesome spinning mouse since unlike most other spinning mice, this one spins throughout the whole course instead of just in the 2nd Half. Looks like only one of you guys is ticklish. The final credit we need at Coney Island. Aww. It's just yet another Kiddy Coaster. Though it was a really good kiddy coaster, it was still a kiddy coaster. You filthy filthy credit whores. Now that we got all the credits here, we can check out the flat rides at Coney Island. This bouncy bouncy ride was fun and all... But Air Race was without a doubt, the star flat ride. This was seriously an awesome flat ride. It has great laterals due to it's fast spinning, flips alot, and is just an awesome awesome ride. I love drop towers. These frisbees may be small, but man do they pack a punch. Much better than some of the bigger ones. I also rode my first Starflyer at Coney Island. While it was one of the small models, I still really liked it. While it didn't really scare me, I still really liked it. I really liked the openness. The seats are really comfortable, and it honestly feels like there's no restraints. It just feels really cool, especially with the great view of New York City, Coney Island, and the Atlantic Ocean. And the ocean breeze really helped this ride out. I had heard lots of good things about Saturn 6, so I ventured off on my own to give it a try. It was a fun flat ride and all, but it wasn't worth the $6.00. Air Race and Brooklyn Flyer were much better flats anyway. We were definetly too big for this Stand Up Rocking Tug as we broke it and feared that we would miss the bus by not getting off the ride in time. "This sign makes my brain hurt." Later that night, we had a coming out party for Piers, because Piers being gay was such a shock. I know several people who should we should totally throw a coming out party for. And of course, you can't have a party for Peirs without having LOTS and LOTS of alcohol. "Something terrible has happened!!!!!" "I'm gonna puke all over the bus tomorrow." Quassy Photos will be posted soon.

XII
All right. Time for the next installment. Up next, was the first official day of the trip since New York City and Coney Island were just add ons. The first official day of the trip took us to the small amusement park of Quassy for us to check their new for 2011 hotness, Wooden Warrior, which while may be small, kicks some major ass and is the perfect definition of size doesn't matter, being just as good if not better than many wooden coasters triple or quadruple the rides size. As for the rest of the park, it was a fun little park that had a lot of fun, charm, and was perfect for the morning we spent there. Anyways, onto the photos. All right. Day 3 of the Northeast Trip takes away from New York and off into the rest of New England. We have arrived at Quassy Amusement Park. It may be a small little family park, but they've got this little beauty. Yeah. This is the reason why we're here. DO NOT be fooled by it's puny little size. This thing hauls ass and is much better than most full sized coasters. Those riders are getting some serious ejector air. And the tunnel they just got out of is really cool and smells like fresh wood. Almost like a Christmas Tree. This definetly takes the award for the strangest drop tower. It's literally puny, but for some reason, it actually is really powerful. I mean, it f*cking LAUNCHES you down to the bottom. And it hurt my legs in a strange way that I can't explain. But I love it and would still hope these things become the new Moser Towers. Oh yeah. We still have one more credit to get at this park. Yeah. This kiddy coaster is nothing more than a credit. Cha Ching. NEXT!!!! We got served lunch here, and it was awesome!!! "Oh boy!!! I've always wanted to see 3D Fireworks. I'm sick of only seeing lousy 2D Fireworks." Shawn: "This park gave me free beer and free wood. This park kicks ass!!!!" Jeremy: "I really wish I was old enough to drink that beer right there." =( Anyone else wanna try a Rice Burger? Oh, and the park gave us free coupons to get either free cotton candy, ice cream, or fried dough. This park is awesome. Like I've said, Quassy is a great little park. They've got Wooden Warrior, a GREAT wooden coaster, and aside from that, it's just a really fun little park with lots of fun rides to ride and just a lot of fun to be had, like this tilt a whirl. OMG!!! This entire park is just an RCT Scenario!!! I knew it along!!!! "HA HA HA HA!!!!! Quassy Slide was great!!!" Like I said, lots of random flat rides to ride and enjoy. "Fun Slide looks like a really good value." Yeah. This park has a train, and it's really fun. Wooden Warrior from the train. BEST CHAIRSWINGS EVER!!!!!! These things were just insane. Much crazier than any normal chairswing!!!! I not only unintentionally kicked Piers seat, which was hilarious, but the my seat tilted which made me feel like I was going to fall out!!! This paratrooper however, sucked. It barely did anything and just was dull and boring. This park has a really nice setting right along Lake Quassapaug. And what better way to finish our visit to Quassy than with more rides on Wooden Warrior. "Check it out. I'm riding with a bunch of schoolkids." If you're ever in the area, definetly check out Quassy. Wooden Warrior alone is worth the stop and the park is really nice. "Hey David!!! I got you a present!!! I know that'd look really good on you, so I got you this leapord thong just for you. And it's made from a real leapord, since I know how much you love stuff made from animals." Lake Compounce will be up soon.
DougMJr
Awesome TR! I'm giddy with excitement for next year's trips! Steeplechase, if it's anything like Motocoaster at Darien Lake, is deceptively fun. Thanks for posting.
XII
All right. Up next after our fun morning at Quassy was a great night at Lake Compounce. Boulderdash was amazing and Boulderdash ERT was just as awesome as you would expect it to be. Anyways, here are more photos. After all the fun that we had at Quassy, it was time to head over to Lake Compounce to have even more fun. This park totally reminds of Kennywood. In just about every single way. Both parks have one signature amazing Top 10 Coaster, both parks have a nice flat ride collection, combinding old classic flats with cool new modern flats, and both have a really nice atmosphere, rich in history. They both even have Potato Patch Fries. Yeah. I love this park already. Yeah. Lets just get this out of the way as quickly as possible. Well, at least this was one of the better Boomerangs. "It's at times like this when I really wonder if credit whoring is even worth it." I'm not sure what we're riding next, but we better call Dan and tell him to get his ass on this ride. Yeah. This log flume had a really nice setting. "I can't believe I got wet on a water ride!!!! Next you'll be telling me that pigs don't fly!!!" Oh, and like Holiday World, Lake Compounce also gives out free drinks. THANK YOU LAKE COMPOUNCE!!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! Oh, and like Holiday World, Lake Compounce also gives out free drinks. THANK YOU LAKE COMPOUNCE!!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! The setting on this ride kicks ass!!! This looks more like a cliff jumping spot than an amusement park. So that alone makes it pretty damn cool. And it turns out all that hype is indeed correct. BOULDERDASH IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you like S&S Towers because you're going to be seeing A LOT of them in this update. So get used to them. "Hey guys!!! How's it going!!?" Ok, after Boulderdash, this is gonna be sh*t. And it was. Even if Boulderdash wasn't here, it'd still be a crappy wooden coaster. "Hey. A credit's a credit. No matter how sh*tty." The water park here actually looks nice. Too bad I didn't have time to check it out. The water park here actually looks nice. Too bad I didn't have time to check it out. "I heard that Piers and Britney had some fun on the rapids ride. Care to reenact that moment for us please?" Lake Compounce served us an awesome dinner with a lot more variety than just typical amusement park crap such as a burrito bar, mac & cheese, ribs, and lots more. We simply have to ride Boulderdash some more. It's that good. I'm not suprised in the least about that. Those hills right there have some really really crazy ejector air. DO NOT underestimate those hills. "Come on Antonio!!! Get your ass on the enterprise!!!" We decided to check out their Shooting Dark Ride since we lots of time and everything in this park is worth checking out. Watch out for these statues. They spit water at you when you least expect it. Yeah. Looks like your typical Sally Shooting Dark Ride. Though I'd definetly give this the award for hardest shooting dark ride ever!!!! It is physically impossible to hit these targets!!! I only hit ONE THING during the entire ride!!!!! Screaming Swings are always fun, though this one was a little on the short side. We had a spinning contest on the Tornado here to see who could spin theirs the fastest. Yeah, that made for an insane ride. And I forgot who won. Sweet!!! They have flyers here as well!!!! Unfortunetly, they too, were unsnappable. LAME!!!!!!!!! =( "I wish I had a car as cool as this, but unfortunetly, I don't even have a car at all. Yeah yeah, I know. I'm such a bad Californian." New at Lake Compounce this year, was their Disko, Revolution. It was fun and ran a good program. Oh yeah. Right when the park closed, Lake Compounce opened up the kiddy coaster for us sad and pathetic credit whores. "Hey!!! I am proud of my credit whoring and you should be too!!!" All right!!! Now we get to have Boulderdash ERT!!!! And let met tell you, this thing is a f*cking BEAST at night!!!! Yeah. This thing is now my #1 wooden coaster. (Well, at least it was until I made it to SFGAdv.) Yeah. This was an insane ERT session. Six Flags New England Photos will be up soon.

mightypotato
That log flume was all sorts of evil. I got absolutely drenched on it. Not by the splash or anything, but by the second tsunami-esque wave that roared over the top of the log. Â My shoes were actually still damp for the next day at SFNE. That said, Compounce ruled. XII
All right. Next up on the Northeast Trip was Six Flags New England. This was a really great day. The event was also opened up to other TPR members as Bizarro Bash, and man did Six Flags New England treat us well. We had both morning and night ERT on Bizzaro, the Gotham City Gauntlet Water Challenge, the awesome lunch with TPR Quest, Waterpark ERT, the Bizarro Backstage Tour, and much more awesomeness. With that said, here are the photos. Next up on the trip was Six Flags New England. One of the bigger parks on the Northeast Trip. And it was interesting trying to drive in and not hit those cones. (Our bus just ran them over while Bryan managed to not hit any.) Yep. We have arrived at Six Flags New England. And now, we get to ride one of the most anticipated coasters on this trip. Gotham City Gauntlet!!!! It was actually a really good Wild Mouse. In fact, I don't think it had any brakes at all. Much better ride than Dark Knight is and would've been. In all serious, it's Bizarro that was one of the most anticipated coasters of the trip, not Gotham City Gauntlet. It's been ranked as one of the best coasters in the world ever since it opened as Superman: Ride of Steel. And yep. Bizarro kicked major ass and is definetly among one of the best coasters I've ridden. Sorry Bizarro. Maverick's still better. "Hey!!! You're not a man!!! Get away from me!!! Or at least bring me a beer if you won't go!!!" Yeah. Morning ERT on Bizzaro was awesome, and we've still got Night ERT later. Oh yeah. We also had ERT on Batman the Dark Knight. While it was fun and all, I'd definetly say it's my least favorite floorless coaster and could definetly be better. Though it's still much better than 2 other certain coasters under the name of Dark Knight. In acts of more awesomeness, we also got Waterpark ERT!!!! And yes, they have a water coaster here. Oh joy!!!!! While not quite as good as Wildebeest, it was a great waterslide and really felt cool going uphill. This Tornado was really good. The lack of a turn definetly made it seem faster. All right. Now that ERT is over, time to head off and get the rest of the credits at Six Flags New England. Starting off with Mind Eraser. Not looking foreword to this. Eh, it wasn't one of the better SLCs I've been on. But hey. It's still better than Kong!!! Next credit, Catwoman's Whip. "Hey Ceaser!! Don't think I've forgotten about you!!! You owe me $500 for that special service I gave you a couple nights ago!!!" For a kiddy coaster, it was pretty damn fun. All right. Next up, Thunderbolt. "I don't trust any giant chickens. Not after the last one gave me an expired coupon." The most I can say about Thunderbolt is that it's without a doubt the most average coaster I've ever ridden. It's not good. It's not bad. It's just average. It's almost like a coaster you'd see as a pre-designed coaster that comes with RCT. All right. Next up was Pandemonium. The parks Gerslauter Spinner. Dude!!! This thing kicked ass!!!! It spun like crazy, and it actually had good moments of airtime!!! I'm not sure what makes this so much better than all the other Gerstlauter Spinners, but it is!!! That's enough credit whoring for now. Time to head over to the pavilion for lunch. I'd just like to remind you that we are in a Six Flags park. We have our name on the sign because we're special. Dude!!! This park serves Vault!!! This park just got much better!!!! Yeah. We got a good lunch at Six Flags New England... Up next was the craziness known as TPR Quest. "Take back your bra mam!!! You've obviously underestimated the size of my manboobs!!!" "You see that manboob contest right there? They didn't let me enter it since if I did, I'd win by default!!! That's how big my manboobs are!!!" "May I ask what's going on here?" "YEAH!!!!! I BEAT YOU GUYS!!!! YOU GUYS ARE PATHETIC!!!! MY GRANDMOTHER CHUGS BEER FASTER THAN ALL YOU GUYS PUT TOGETHER!!!!" And now back to our day of riding roller coasters at Six Flags New England. "Oh boy. Time for some serious credit whoring." Look up sad and pathetic in the dictonary and you'll see us riding this coaster. "Dammit Kevin!!!! You've turned me into a credit whore!!!!" Up next was Cyclone, which was a very interesting wooden coaster. It goes from being rough to being smooth as glass as well as from having some really good pops of ejector air, to being forceless and boring. So yeah, you can totally tell where they put the Topper Track. It's just a bizarre bizarre ride. Don't underestimate the oddness of this ride. It's truely strange. And finally, we have Flashback. The parks boomerang. Um yeah. This boomerang sucked. Definitely one of the worse boomerangs out there. We tried to get on Catapult, but after waiting for several minutes for the ride to start, we were told the ride broke down. Guess I jinxed the ride. Nice. It's Tarzan Taz. "I'm too lazy to buy a cheap basketball and head over to the court and shoot a couple hoops, but I'm willing to pay the same price as a new ball to shoot a couple baskets in a theme park across the country. Wait, somehow that doesn't make sense." "This ball is going to collect so much dust!!!" Later that evening, we got a really awesome Bizarro Backstage Tour!!! This ride has all sorts of airtime. It's got floater airtime, ejector airtime, and everything in between. This is what I like to call the "It Happens" Hill. Because no matter where you're sitting or what you're doing, it happens. You just get ejected here. It just happens. Here starts the actual backstage tour as from here on out, these are shots you can't get unless on a backstage tour. Like this awesome awesome shot. Why do all the trains on coasters we try to photograph flee from us? Once again, thank you Six Flags New England for all these awesome shots. This was a good S&S Tower. Unfortunetly, they turned the Combo Mode off when I was on. But it was still fun. And now, I'd like to tell you about one of the most underrated rides ever. The Great Houdini. This ride is crazy!!! Apparently, it's just a spinning room, but it literally feels like you're flipping!!! It literally does!!! Unlike on most rides where once you learn how the effects work, they lose their effectiveness, it doesn't happen here. Even when you know how it works, you still feel it!!! Oh, and I got on Catapult. And I liked it. Sure the restraints may be from the devil himself, but the ride itself is fun. Speaking of underrated, let's talk about these magic carpet rides. THEY'RE AWESOME!!! Why don't more parks get rides like this? They're awesome!!! Unlike this wipeout. This has got to be the lamest Wipeout ever. Sure, it's got a cool theme, but DAMM is it forceless!!!!! All right!! Time for our night Bizarro ERT!!!! And while Bizzaro kicks ass in the morning, it kicks MAJOR ASS at night!!!! I love this ride and am proud to call it my 2nd Favorite Steel Coaster. Some woman snuck into our ERT, but security handled the situation very well. Good job SFNE. Oh, and they also had the Gotham City Gauntlet Water Challenge, which like the Tony Hawk Challenge, was impossible to have any water kept inside. Thank you for the great event Six Flags New England!!! You guys are awesome!!!! Up next, photos from the Maine Parks.

XII
All right, after the awesome day at Six Flags New England, we spend the next day relaxing and checking out the Maine Parks. We first started out by heading over to Palace Playland at Old Orchard Beach to do some credit whoring. The credits were nothing special, but Old Orchard Beach seemed like a really nice town that I would really like to return to. Anyways, here are more photos. All right. Our next day was our day hitting up the Maine parks. So naturally, the day started out with the drive to Maine, which was a nice drive. I have no idea what this resteraunt is like nor have I even heard of it until this trip, but hey. New Resteraunt Credit!!! Please keep in mind that this is a professional mopper mopping here with years of experience. Don't try this at home. "Oh my god darling!! This pasta is FABOLOUS!!!!" Yep. We have arrived in Maine all right. A day relaxing at Old Orchard Beach would be nice and all... But we have credits to whore out!!! Ooh. Interesting looking drop tower you've got there Palace Playland. All right. I've got my tickets. Lets do this thing!!!! Yep. We are doing some serious credit whoring right now. Six Flags Magic Mountain's Orient Express > Palace Playland's Orient Express. Yeah, we have no shame. Yay!! We now get to ride something semi-decent!!! However, while Indiana Beach's Galaxi was really fun and some really good ejector air, this Galaxi was lame and had no ejector air. =( Meh, whatever. Beggars can't be choosers. Cha-Freaking Ching!!!! Dude!!! They have a Power Surge here. Awesome!!! I love these rides!!!! "I don't care how much money I blow!!! Somehow, I am going to win these Yo Gabba Gabba Prizes!!! *gasp* "JoAnna has balls!!!!!! I knew it!!!!!! No real woman would ever hang out with us!!!!!" Now that we got all the credits, we can just hang out at the Old Orchard Beach till it's time to head over to the next park. Why can't any of the Ventura beaches have a random choir? Hey, if they serve alcohol and all are welcome, then we can probably find Piers here. Hey Caesar, did you lose your tooth again? I must admit. For a credit whoring park, I really enjoyed Palace Playland. And unlike Bowcraft, I would be happy to come back here.
Jojo19799
LOL! Kevin, that has got to be the best picture of me on the trip. Â I really enjoyed our time at Old Orchard. I wish we had more time though. Hey, it gives me an excuse to go back. Looking forward to the rest of the pics!

XII
All right. After whoring out Palace Playland and spending some nice time at Old Orchard Beach, we took a quick bus ride to Maine's other theme park. Funtown Splashtown U.S.A. While a small little park, it certainly lived up to its name as we had a blast here. Anyways, onto the photos. All right. After Palace Playland, we hit up Maine's other park, Funtown Splashtown U.S.A. All right. First up, let's get the Wild Mouse credit out of the way. "What type of ride is this again?" Dude, this thing ran a GREAT program. No trims at all whatsoever!! Dammit!!! Why does our log always do that!!!? This was quite an interesting log flume. It almost seemed like it was made in RCT. SPLOOSH!!!!!! Yeah, this is boring after the Quassy Chairswings. All right. Now time for the other coaster and main reason why we're here. Excalibur!!! The park's woodie and the biggest coaster in Maine. While it doesn't get much attention since it's in a small park in Maine, it really is a good wooden coaster. It kind of reminded me of Ghostrider back when it was good. Dude!!! That is awesome!!! Yep. We've found YET ANOTHER S&S Tower on this trip. And this one was really good. "Will you be my candle on the water?" Nice. Even the rules here are themed. "You laugh now. But I will show you!!! Someday, I will be a world champion at Skeeball!!!" "Ok. So I've still got a long way to go, but I can get better!!!" Dude, they give out Pacman Ghosts as prizes in this park!!! This park is awesome!!! Yeah. We rode the Wild Mouse again since we could. Hey, it's much better than Mullholland Mad...I mean Goofy's Sky School. Yep. We rode the Tilt a Whirl and it was fun. "Yes!!! My plan to break the Wild Mouse at Funtown Splashtown is a success!!!! Why do I do these things? No reason. I'm just pure evil. *evil laugh* " "Dude!!! I've found Pacman Porn!!!!!" Here's yet another random flat ride that we had fun on at Funtown Splashtown. Ooh. I wonder what Astrosphere could be. I just know they're having a TPR Takeover of it. Dude!!! It's an indoor scrambler!!! While the program itself sucked, it had an awesome light show that made the ride awesome. We also had a TPR Takeover of the Teacups. "Come on Ceaser!!! Spin this damn thing already!!!" The car ride at night looks fun and all, but we've got more important stuff to do right now. Like have night time Excalibur ERT!!!! EXCITEMENT EVERYONE!!!! Excalibur may be decent in the afternoon, but HOLY CRAP does it get amazing at night!!!!! This picture is too awesome for a caption. "Double Rides for everyone!!!!!" Oh, and we got to leave the park through Excalibur and get close with the track. Thanks for the great time Funtown Splashtown. Up next, Canobie Lake Park & the Alcohol Exchange. XII
All right. Time for the next day of the trip. On this day, we were at Canobie Lake Park. I didn't know too much about this park before this trip, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I came away loving this park. They not only have some good coasters, but they also have some cool flat rides that you can't find anywhere else, really nice staff, a great setting, and even had rides that teleported you to ancient Egypt. And after the awesome day, we had some fun in Canada where we drank lots of alcohol in the alcohol exchange and didn't have any power. Anyways, onto the photos. Â Oh, and while at the Alcohol Exchange, Antonio did his best Piers Impression as shown in this video. (Warning, video does contain some strong language.) All right. Next up was Canobie Lake Park in New Hampshire, and man did this small little park kick a lot of ass. New for 2011 at Canobie Lake Park is a Gerstlauter Eurofighter called Untamed. See. It really is called Untamed. I wasn't lying. We ended up having an hour of morning ERT on Untamed, which was awesome!!! Oh, and the station is really nice as well. "May I please join you in your morning Untamed ERT? I promise I won't maul anyone. Please?" =( And as expected, Untamed was totally awesome. It was pretty much just like Spongebob, only without the airtime hill and the mid course brakes. Although on a less pleasent note, some of our rides had a little bit of headbanging, which wasn't comfortable. But whatever. It's still a great ride. Oh, and in our hour of Untamed ERT, we also had Yankee Cannonball ERT. So it was an hour of ERT on the parks 2 best rides. Notice the empty seats, you tend to get those when you have a really good ERT session. Dude!! Yankee Cannonball was great!! It was perfectly smooth and had some really nice pops of airtime!!! "Dammit!!! Who snapped the flyers!!!?" Hold on. There's still one last coaster left for us to ride. It may not have been anything special, but at least it didn't try to kill us. "Umm, you guys do realize that this is a powered coaster. It doesn't count." "Yeah, we know. We're not trying to get any credits. We just enjoy being sad and pathetic." In case you didn't know, Canobie Lake Park is located right on the shore of Canobie Lake. So yeah. The setting of this park is beautiful. Hmm, looks like Canobie Lake Park actually puts on a good Halloween Event. "Do you get wet on this ride?" Canobie Lake Park has a great flat ride collection containing many flat rides that other parks don't have anymore, like Rotors. *cough* Six Flags Magic Mountain *cough* Yay!!! They have a bouncy bouncy ride here!!! But unfortunetly, our ride never bounced. We just spun around and ocassionally bounced. LAME!!!!! =( "Ever since Funtown Splashtown, I've become addicted to Skeeball!! I'm not joking!!! This is a serious problem!!! Get me into therapy so I can recover from this addiction!!!" "Popcorn Stand #1 is a really good value." We decided to check out their log flume, since we've been riding them like crazy on this trip. Not only did it have a great setting, but the log flume itself was pretty damn good. We also decided to check into the parks dark ride, the Mine of Lost Souls. The story starts out with 2 kids getting lost in the Mine of Lost Souls and we need to find them. This ride made my brain hurt. How did we end up in a mine in New Hampshire to an Ancient Mummy Tomb in Egypt? =/ "Quit your smiling Jason!!! Air Hockey is a very serious sport!!!" This may look like an ordinary teacup ride, but it's not. It goes in a figure 8 shape, which is much cooler than how it sounds. What sort of ride is called Starblaster? Oh, it's an S&S Double Shot. And those are always fun. They may be small, but man do they pack a punch. We decided to take a couple more rides on Untamed since it's a really good ride. This is a great edition to Canobie Lake Park and totally fits in with the park. Smart move Canobie Lake Park. Smart move. How many parks do you know have a mirror maze? Oh crap. You can't crash in this maze. I'm screwed. "Hey look!!! It's that evil kid!!!" LAME!!!!!!! =( Oh great. Another ride called Surfs Up. Let's hope that it TOO doesn't break on us. Not only did it not break on us, but it ran a good program. Win Win situation for us. We decided to end our day at Canobie Lake Park with a ride on Yankee Cannonball. This is definetly one of the more underrated rides in the roller coaster community. "What do you mean it's not normal to take all of the parks park maps?" All right. Canobie Lake Park was awesome. Now it's time for us to take the long drive to Canada. New Hampshire is f*cking beautiful. We had to go to Walgreens to get an air freshener since SOMETHING stunk up the back of the bus. Hmm. I didn't know that Burger King served smoothies. Dude!!! This is the best Burger King ever!!! Not only do they have a Freestyle Coke Machine, but they had an ENTIRE different menu than in California. Sure, they still had Whoppers and the usual stuff, but they had all sorts of stuff that I never saw in CA Burger King. I tried more Freestyle Coke Creations here than I did in all my SFMM visits put together. "Oh crap!!! Border Crossing!!! Everyone act natural!!!" Well, we made past Border Patrol and got to our hotel in Montreal. The only thing is that when we got to our hotel, we had no power. Yep. Our hotel had no electricty. So yeah. I couldn't charge my cameras and none of the lights in the hotel worked, which really made finding our rooms to be a challenge. This is pretty much what it looked like going through the halls of the hotel. When we reached our room, we opened the door, and we couldn't see a thing. We had no idea what our room looked like so I snapped this picture and Antonio and I first saw what our room looked like solely through this picture on my camera. In case you're wondering why we had no power, it turns out that a storm a couple days totally wrecked through Montreal and knocked down that power line that brought the hotel electricity. Yeah. This storm was pretty damn bad. Normally, a lack of power would've totally screwed us over, but luckily tonight was the Alcohol Exchange, so we were too busy drinking and having fun outside to care about electricity. Yeah. The Alcohol Exchange is off to a great start. "I have no idea what you're mixing into that drink, but I want it." "Oh man. I'm gonna be pissing blood tomorrow. But it'll totally be worth it." This dutch alcohol beverage was intersting. It had an herbal taste to it, almost like a tea, and it was 30 % alcohol. "Hmm. This alcoholic drink seems very strange. It's bland, jagged, and making my mouth bleed. I better not drink this. It doesn't seem vegan." Tomorrow morning is going to be very intersting for a lot of you guys. Up next, La Ronde Photos. Moose
How did everyone find the Untamed ride? I know some of the Eurofighters can become quite rough depending on the car.

Untamed was fun. Yeah, the ride could get rough in certain seats, but it was still a really fun Eurofighter.
deguy123
How did everyone find the Untamed ride? I know some of the Eurofighters can become quite rough depending on the car. Â I thought the front was extremely rough but the back was completely smooth to me. When leaving the ride you can hear people saying "ouch" while the ride was going Random picture of me in the front of a great coaster on the trip!
