disneygurlz2s Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 I had just signed on for the first time today, and when I saw Elissa's avatar had changed, I knew immediately what must have happened! You guys were awesome to take the little rodent in, and you prolonged his life with that deed, so that says a lot about you both. I know he was as special and precious to you as a pet can be! Elissa, Sammi and I will be thinking of you with lots of love...... Shari
SharkTums Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Hey everone, I want to say thank you for all of the posts, IM's, PM's, emails, and everything. I'm just really bummed right now and it will take some time to get over this. For those of you who have been to our place you know that RatTums had his own section of the house and furniture and it is just so sad to look over there and not see him there. Thanks again... --elissa
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 ^ Just thinking about him not being in his corner just made me very sad again ... Gregg "Who made sure he was very nice to his old fat kitty today" C.
Angry_Gumball Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Just digging thru my pictures and found the "Psycho Tums" avatar I made for our second avatar contest. It's still hard to believe.
Meteornotes Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 That's a damn shame. Sorry to hear it. You guys took great care of him, and I'm sure he had a happy life. Still one of the funniest things I ever saw was Rattum's tearing around the apartment in that ball. Glad I got to meet him... dt
thunder001 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Sorry to hear about the little dude. I was only asking Elissa the other day how he was going...and now he is no longer with you. What makes it worse is that when Rat Tums passed was the same day as my sons 3rd birthday. Is a bummer now thinking that we were having fun while you were going through all that. All our thoughts are with you....
Kroger8 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I am so so sorry about RatTums, what a cool little guy he was! He truly had to be the best little hamster anywhere! I know you have to be sad, I remember when my hamster died, and I told my mom to come look how funny he was sleeping, with like one leg on his ramp and the other on the ground, and she was like "Daniel... he's dead." Then I was so sad, gah. Again I am so sorry.
Wackyboxer Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 My most heartfelt condolences go out to the two of you. RatTums was magnificent, as is his grieving family. He could not have wanted for a more loving, caring home. One of my female rats is due to give birth within the next 3 to 4 days, and with your permission Robb and Elissa, as a living memorial, I'd like to name one of the boys "Indiana RatTums". I'll post pics of him as he grows if you'd like. I know this loss is huge for you, and if you'd rather I didn't name one of our babies after him I'll totally understand.
coasterguy618 Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Aww... thats a bummer. I am so sorry to hear that Rattums died.

Twister II Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 SeaPigRatTums BTW, I loved your shirt today Elissa! "Rollie with the homies!"
Wackyboxer Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 ^^I totally understand. Thanks for letting me know.
moinab Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 So sorry for your loss. Our 17 year old cat is starting to fade, so I'm afraid we're in for a loss of our own, soon. It's so hard to say goodbye. {{{{{hugs}}}}} Maureen
XLRBR Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I'm so sorry to hear about this guys. This is really sad news and I hope you guys are doing real well in your time of need. So sorry to hear the best rodent in the whole universe died. But at least he died with his bestest owner in the world. 8) R.I.P. RatTums the hamster. Hope you're in a better place. (even though there's no better place than at Robb and Elissa's)
CoasterGrey Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 My condolances on the loss of your beloved RatTums. He was a lucky rodent, to have been found by you and Elissa - he had a great life, may he rest in peace.
