Nrthwnd Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Well, for what it's worth... McDonald's is bringing back the McRib sandwich in December, at select franchises.
Nrthwnd Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Although I am not eligible to vote. I am going to play it safe, and hide out here in the TPR site, until the evening is over. Hard to go to other sites without "running across/into" new info. on The Election and all. And I'd rather not, right now. Until it's all over. One way or the other.
TonyFarbor Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition is the best game!!! 1
Nrthwnd Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 This was just emailed to us. Spider Robinson is a very well known Sci-Fi writer for many years. And a friend of ours. Quote Why fear nothingness? We came from there. We already spent many billions of years there… and when we got here, the first thing we did was burst into tears. Whatever comes next, it’s a safe bet you’ll have plenty of time to get the hang of it. At worst, you're literally worrying about nothing. Relax. —Spider Robinson 1
Nrthwnd Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Oysters are falling from the sky! Is this random enough?
RCT3Bross Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 My Mind: "Okay let's do this thing you always wanted." Me: "Okay then let's go do that." My mind: "Oh, no. I'm way to scared for that." Me: "...." All the time, I love it.
CaptainUnknown Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 (edited) One of my brother's go-to exclamations is "Cheese and Crackers." So for the past week, I've had a wrapped present in the fridge for him. Inside: a box of Ritz crackers and a chunk of mild cheddar cheese. I wish I'd gotten his reaction on video. CaptainUnknown Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 When I left home on Friday, my odometer read 77,774. The next time I looked at it, it read 77,787. 1
Nrthwnd Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Spent $21 on some scratch tickets and a couple of lottery ones. Won $11 in a free ticket and cash. And two future draws, where I could win more money. Life can be good, in small ways.
Nrthwnd Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 I am finding it fascinating, that on The Day of All Days....April 1st (usually called April Fools Day?), that this is The Opening Day for a lot of parks around the USA. And I am really hoping that it is indeed, NOT such a thing they're all pulling, en masse. It's too Big a Deal to pull on the gp. They'll riot.
anonymouscactus Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 April 1st is a Thursday, what parks are opening on the 1st (other than potentially some California Parks; that is the earliest they can open, with some restrictions, only if they chose to -- there hasn't been any announcements I'm aware of)? Many parks will be open that day for spring breaks, but that is not opening day for any of them?
Nrthwnd Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 ^ Oh okay. Just guess I am reading particular threads too many times, heh. Still, even picking that date for any opening. I wouldn't do it. Not that I'm superstitious or something silly like that...... 1
CaptainUnknown Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 You know that saying "Not all heroes wear capes?" If it was up to Edna Mode, none would. 1
Nrthwnd Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 This just made me go 'huh'... On the radio news, I just heard that vaccinations of vaccines etc etc. in BC are starting with "those 85 and older"....and "Indigenous people 65 and older".... Which made me immediately wonder.... Why the 20 year age difference? Do indigenous people pass away at an earlier age? That's all. I just wondered.
