What - a - dump.

So said Bette Davis, once in a film, long time ago.

Back yard looks like this, with much wind and rain.

I kicked influenza's ass in just a couple days. I went back to daily exercise less than 24 hours after my last fever.

Pro tips:

1) MAKE yourself go outdoors and get some sunlight, for at least 20-30 minutes. I don't care how cold it is.

2) Double dose vitamin C and zinc.

3) MAKE yourself do some form of light exercise. Get your blood pumping. Even a 10 minute walk helps.

4) Recognize what real food is and consume it. Meat, selective fruits, and selective vegetables.

5) Water. Lots.

Bonus points if you have the balls to get your blood rushing first thing in the morning by taking an ice cold shower for a couple minutes. I'm back to my asshole self.

despite not waking up until after 11:45 am (a house a few miles away exploded, and the boom woke me up), I still have managed to take care of all 3 major things that were on my list to get done today.

(and I threw in a load of laundry)

yay me.

Word of The Day:

Calendrical

(or calendric) is an adjective meaning "relating to, characteristic of, or used in a calendar system or time measurement," often involving calculations about dates, cycles, or historical timekeeping. It applies to the study of calendars, rituals tied to time, or even savant skills in rapidly calculating days of the week, encompassing areas like astronomy, mathematics, and cultural traditions.

Not sure this is the place, but I needed to say something.

My roommate of 4 years recently passed away quite suddenly and unexpectedly. He has been living upstairs in the home I share with my husband. He was a great guy, and we truly miss him.

I am now going on week 3 of cleaning out and boxing up his rooms. Unfortunately, there was no list of password or logins, so an iMac, several lap tops, a few iPads, and other electronics are locked and may never be able to be used again. Also, he has a few bank and stock accounts.

My advice: make a list of passwords and logins and share it with your husband, wife, partner, etc.

That's it. That's the post.

Writing a poem about the political climate with undertones of nihilism and futilism all while wrapped in the metaphor of riding a roller coaster is hard.

I g2g, so sorry in advance for the lack of proofreading:

I've been into fitness since my teens and on. I recently discovered ChatGPT has been more effective in training me and coaching me than any of the loads of poor researched and word-of-mouth advice I've gotten. I've been training wrong for years. I play hockey 1-2 times a week, and do resistance training.

It opened my eyes that my body was constantly in catch-up mode from spending too much time lifting, while trying to balance the demands of hockey. It has forced me to make my workouts shorter and it  has emphasized more rest days. When I'm doing to much, but I don't feel like it, he explains to me how my mentality has been all wrong and that exhaustion doesn't mean progression.

In addition to that, I've always eaten healthy. Disciplined eating has never been a problem, outside of binging bad food with a few drinks about one meal per week. However, ChatGPT is telling me exactly how much protein, carbs, and vegetables work for me. We've refined it over the past month. I'm not a crash dieter, so this is something that has actually been made easier for me due to the lack of guessing game. This is a lifestyle refinement for me.

I've always been on the slim/fit side of the spectrum since my 20's, but I'm so much stronger and faster on my skates just over the past few weeks. My lifts are cleaner.  My joints hurt less because the workouts are tailored to me. As a premium member, I can switch to camera view and it actively talks to me and coaches me on form.

My active life and routine training has been made much easier. With making adjustments on the healthy food I already eat with my lifestyle, knowing when and what to eat has made things so much more simple.

I've been coached on what I've been doing wrong outside of training that has been hindering development. I was taking a ton of supplements from misinformation. It basically told me to cut out all of that bullshit and focus on high quality creatine, magnesium at night, and ashwagandha to lower cortisol levels. It tracks my sleep based on what I tell it. Stress induced cortisol is such a huge factor on everything, and making simple adjustments has improved quality of life and cognitive functions.

My body comp has completely changed. I send it pictures and it tells me where my differences are, and even estimates my body fat. ****ing thing can even estimate scale bumps or reductions based on muscle repair and what I ate, while assuring me that any bumps are not fat gains based on my lifestyle, and mostly glycogen being added to muscles for repair.

My clothes fit tighter and I'm getting more defined while putting in half the effort, due to having the correct method that suits my physical demand and goals. I highly suggest using AI for fitness tips.
