ernierocker
www.shyguysworld.com/index.php?topic=6179.0;msg=144750 This is some brilliant logic! The guy said he was going to troll TPR and spam his You Tube channel, then actually signs up and spams the board with two of his videos, but he was only joking. I really thing this whole thing has been driven by this moron to start with! Oh, and love the new word filter Robb.
robbalvey
Oh, look, ShyGuy is having a slightly different attitude now: http://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php?topic=6179.0;msg=144774 I wonder if Matt posting that image where he said he could host the files on TPR make him look just a tiny bit sheepish? QueerRudie
I'm glad to see that (some) of those schmucks over there are in fact full of crap. And I'm (While I don't understand his actions) glad to see that their moderator (ShyGuy) is actually man enough to admit when there's been too much- I don't dig the personal attacks- that's just wrong. I find it childish and stupid, and a total waste of data space and transfer rates. Maybe now they'll get on with their lives- and realize that they can be shitheads to each other. ernierocker
This guy I like! http://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php?topic=6179.0;msg=144759 Popcorn time yet again! Same. And that guy actually created an account here today and is sharing his work in the game forum. So, there you go. Even out of that thread we already have a new member join where these morons have left.
robbalvey
I'm not sure if this is something to be proud of or not, but having a quick look at all the pages in their community forum, other than the 'legacy threads' (say something random, etc....) the topic about TPR is the most active topic in that forums history! And that forum's topics date back to January 2009. Is that pathetic or a milestone? I'm not exactly sure!
robbalvey
So doing some research, and also to record some of this, here is the list of members we banned over this whole craziness... Disney4everDreaming SwissCheese77 hello#2 big.boi2010 Tiger Pilgrim Frenchy_Dude Test Subject 099 Yoshi DY13 robbalveysux robsvacation shyguy's world TransRapid gcii2011 ShyguysWorldRocks shyguy's world Brookskennedy Lamp -Demonoid- DougSD jordy_rym Techno Dude gci2011 lakeparks Rct3Mike JohanR91 _Brandon_ Krypt And if I'm correct, this is the only group of "real" posters we banned, right? DougSD - Only had 9 posts - most of them complaining about the game exchange. jordy_rym - 8 posts, and these we know about. Techno Dude - 53 posts. Actually contributed stuff, right? gci2011 - 367 posts. Actually contributed stuff. lakeparks - 26 posts. Did he even contribute anything at all? Rct3Mike - 32 posts. I think I remember him posting some stuff. JohanR91 - 13 posts. _Brandon_ - 130 posts. Seemed fairly active. Krypt - 36 posts. Been on the site over a year, but not too active. So the way I see it, we really only lost, of the more "active" posters... Techno Dude gci2011 _Brandon_ Krypt Rct3Mike lakeparks 6 members. Is that correct? Do you guys think 6 members is about right? So all that insanity...and it really cost TPR 6 legitimate members? And I'd even argue that 2 or 3 of them probably didn't bring ANYTHING to TPR at all... Yeah, what a huge waste of time.... *sigh*
mcjaco
^ Nope that's about right. I don't even remember what I wrote last night. I know I was going to mention that for every pissed off banned person, we usually end up gaining three more, so really pissing and moaning and thinking it's going to "hurt" TPR is not the reality of it. At all. And that was my entire point about posting that pic of my PM with Shyguy. Don't BS me. I have proof. In fact, I'm going to upload all his sets this weekend, after this blows over for a few days. AND I'll even put in the decription used with permission, or visit Shyguys' World. I want to really look like the bigger guy here, and if a few people head his way to check his stuff out, then they have nothing to bitch about. They'll bitch anyway, but.... mcjaco
Hey wazzup! I am Krypt. I live 10 mins away from Six Flags over Texas. I am a custom content creator for RCT3. CTRs, CS, CFRs, Custom Paths, and maybe even custom tracks in the near future. Now it all makes sense. He's from Texas. I swear every idiot poster on TPR is from Texas, the UK, or Australia. djbrcace1234
Personally, the only member I see that we lost was GCI, because he actually started here first, then started newport, and moved over to shy guys to get more traffic. Krypt, Techno dude, and Brandon, are active posters on Shy's, not TPR. It was just an effort for more traffic. But yes, there customs tracked rides were benefiting our small RCT 3 community here. Is it a devasting lost? Not really. In reality, all it does now is make this area more tranquil.... Wonder how long that will last?

mcjaco
Since I'm F'in bored at work, and I like talking to myself.... Nice to see Liam. posted here again (he's the one mod from SGW that emailed Robb). I think we lost the idiots but the cool ones will come back around. And Swiftman posted a really awesome reply over there too. Edited May 12, 2011 by mcjaco

mcjaco
^ You're right. How could I forget Ohio! Got this PM from Shyguy: I apologize for saying that I did not give permission to TPR to host my sets. To be honest, I simply forgot. As for taking them down, I am undecided at this moment. First of all, I can't even find them anywhere in those unorganized and confusing forums. If you could give me a link, I'd just like to see exactly where they are and how they've been presented. The sets may stay for the time being, but if I get too fed up with Robb and how he continues to handle this situation, I may change my mind. I appreciate your mature handling of this situation. shyguy I see that they're already gone, so I told him it was a moot point, but we'll continue to link to his site through our Custom Scenery Thread. I also kindly asked that he calm them down a bit more, and put an end to the silliness. We're all upset how things transpired (slight lie), but it should all be done with now. robbalvey
It bothers me how I keep getting blamed for how I "handled the situation." I handled it a professional as I could, but with my sense of personality. I'm assuming that's what people don't like. That "Note to Shy Guy's World" that was posted, I feel, was as professional as I could have been without also being "fake" and coming off like someone I'm not. The comments that continued to be posted in that thread lacked zero professionalism compared to what anyone on TPR posted. The only thing that I think we could have handled a bit better was the "ban reasons" given to people. I just left it blank for the ones I did, and I'm told that some of the other ones that were posted were either photo-shopped or showing up because they shared an IP address with someone else. Regardless, even if someone got a ban reason for "being a retarded douchebag" (which is the harsh truth!), it's still not as bad as some of the childish antics that went on for 9 pages in that thread. It just comes down to this - they don't like that we have a higher level quality bar on what people are allowed to post. And I'm sure they hate even more than we have an Alexa ranking of #60,423 and theirs is #1,724,404. That's what it really comes down to. --Robb
ernierocker
I definitely came up with "retarded douche" as a ban reason, but that was a while back during a previous time we were being trolled. And it also didn't have that terrible grammar in it, so who knows. How I know, is that I was starting one of my ban reasons the exact same way, and the auto fill came up with it when I was copying it into the public ban reason. All my ban reasons this time around were something to the effect of "banned for trolling the site" or "same person as demonoid". Edit: I forgot about Lamp/amplifyed. I did ask him if he was really that stupid in the ban reason. But he is in fact too stupid, so he probably never realized it. QueerRudie
Many things, not just at TPR but elsewhere are victims of the perspective of the viewer- ths "Beauty is in the eye of the Beer-Holder." If those people can't deal with you being you, Robb, then I feel sorry for them. That's who you are- and professional at that. Yes, it's got your sarky sense of humor. That's you. Douche is a part of this universe. And truly- many of those people were BEING douches. So you said it exactly right. Where I have an issue is where ShyGuy gets off in trying to sound like he's the 'high and mighty' type. Please. Anybody who can sit there and not be truthful about his own site is somebody who's being... a douche. If anything, it's the six loud-mouth jackasses who keep adding fuel to the fire- and that won't happen so long as they're getting the sympathy and attention they are so desperate for. mcjaco
Honestly, by Sunday most all of them will have moved on. And we're still better.
robbalvey
If those people can't deal with you being you, Robb, then I feel sorry for them. Thank you for saying that. I know full well I can be harsh sometimes, pushy, and even probably a bit unreasonable. But I don't do it just for myself, I do it for the site and for the members of the site whom we appreciate. Look at it this way "Me being me" has gotten us pretty far with a lot of parks, ride companies, and other organizations that allows us to do some REALLY COOL things for our members. So until all that seems to stop happening, I'm gonna keep being me, because the key people who I have to work with, seem to like who I am. --Robb

mcjaco
Got this today: Sorry for not reading the rules before posting. I may be on shy guys world and I did read that thread but I belief theres two sides to every story. So I did not get involved at all. Most of those guys are kids. I found out the hard way how kids act now a days. Bringing up alot of things they shouldn't of it was rude disrespectful and very ignorant. Anyways I have now read the rules and edited my post and thread I hope its better.

mcjaco
Interesting PM conversation with that guy. It sounds like the kiddies at some forum beat him down pretty bad. He really likes what he sees here, and the SGW thread led him over here to see what the fuss was all about. So, like Robb posted, for every twit that leaves, we get one or two more quality people back. It's the twits that leave and make a huge stink (like Krypt), that benefit us more, because people come over to check out what TPR is all about, and end up staying. QueerRudie
I think it was bound to happen- in more ways than one. We've seen a few people migrate over, and we're now getting some good RCT III works (Granted, Matt, yours kicks EVERYBODYS ass...) which I think benefits that area of the exchange. And we've gotten rid of very mediocre trash- and sent the problem onto somebody else. Let them deal with it.
mcjaco
Hey Robb, sound familiar? Thanks, Matt. That all sounds fine with me. If it helps at all, you can tell Robb I hold no ill feelings towards him or his site. I take what is said here with a grain a salt. I did encourage things a bit, but I have to admit, I do like a bit of drama myself and get a kick out of the way some members take things over the top. It makes a great show, and these forums were hopping for a few days. And my personal stance on these types of situations is to let the kids vent til their little hearts are content. Eventually they tire of it and move on to something else. Anyway, Take care shy And over on Atari: Hey Brandon, what's this about getting banned on RCTlounge?
