tdub96
Hi TPR! Here's a little something I've been working on lately, I've had a lot of inspiration to do a theme like this. The coaster is a GCI woodie. The project is a design attempt to win an accolade over at NE. Basically, design and theme a coaster. So this GCI is part of a North American Adventure Park, in the USA section of the park. However, I need a name for the coaster, it has to fit with the American theme. So you guys, help me out here! Name suggestions are welcome! Right now, the names I have are: Revolutionary American Thunder I'm looking for more! How about the person who comes up with the best name gets to be a tester for the design? Fair enough? Now here's an overview: The building in front of the coaster is an American History Museum dark ride, in case any of you were wondering. Please comment! imawesome1124
I am quite liking the layout. Was this at all inspired by Prowler?

tdub96
Wow thanks a lot guys! I really like some of those names, sfgamguy. I'm not going to go with Patriot, its too common for the theme. I think there's a Patriot in a few US themed areas among parks at NE, but thanks a lot for the names. @imawesome: Yes, the out-and-back portion of the layout was inspired by the airtime hills through the forest on Prowler. Here's some of the work I got done today. The drop tower is named "Patriot Plunge," another reason the coaster will not be called Patriot. Comments welcome! As are more naming suggestions
djbrcace1234
I don't like how the railroad track has to climb up over the track of the coaster. I do like it's Prowler look in the out and back segment, but I feel with how long the coaster is, it's pacing will not be up to snuff. I do however like where this is heading though. QueerRudie
How about "The Uprising?" Good ride, BTW. Love the Low-to-the-ground elements of it. R.D.
CoasterCreator9
Wow, that looks really cool! As for names; I was GONNA say American Thunder, but then I realized you thought of it already. How about Stars and Stripes or All American? (Personally, I like the former.)

tdub96
Thanks for all the comments guys. There was a Busch Gardens park in the PT3 at NE that has a coaster called Paul Revere's Ride or something, so I dont think im going with any Paul Revere names. American Thunder, Revolutionary and Freedom Fighter are the top 3 (in no order) as we speak. But more name suggestions are always welcome! Dj-I'm not totally sold on the bridge either. We'll see what happens with that. The pacing is actually decent, that was a fear of mine too after finishing the layout. Its still doing about 30-35 in the last few elements. Thanks guys. Will post an update when i can.
doublestufforeo
Screamin' Eagle? And the ride looks great so far!
tdub96
Update 3/3/2011 Well, I can say that I'm thinking Freedom Fighter is the front-runner, but more suggestions are welcome. Now the update: This is the bridge that I'm not totally sure I'm gonna keep. Station, queue, etc. A bit unfinished, looking for someone to make huts invisible. And the overview. As you can see, its changed a bit. I moved the station over to the right of the museum. Its a better fit I believe, as that way the station is visible from a peep's POV. Let me know what you guys think! -TW
10ryansmith
Im really liking this. The only thing that I dont like its the train bridge. I dont like that the train has the climb. Other than that it looks great!!
MeMeMe
Lose the bridge. It doesn't fit, and nor do any other train bridges. Around or under is fine as long as it looks good.
Coaster Cow
Sculpt the terrain around the turnaround so that the train follows the hill gradually and naturally, which would make the bridge almost like a trench or ravine. I think that would work really well, especially if it's a bit wooded back there.
coastermaniac
Looks great; keep on building!!
imawesome1124
That is an awesome layout. But I agree, the railroad bridge needs to go.
tdub96
Thanks a lot for the comments guys! Looks like most of you are opposed to the bridge, so I'm gonna make it a flat bridge, meaning it doesn't have to go up the hill. I'll make a little valley in there for the coaster to dive underneath. I'm also planning to add the 'Mississippi River Rapids' to the area, I'd say I'm approaching 50% if not there yet. Will post an update when I have the chance, lot of homework lately. tdub96
Project Patriot Update 4: March 10, 2011 I got a lot of work done today, rerouting the train, architecture, and the Mississippi River Rapids. Here's an overview so far. I'd say nearing 70%.

freefallXL
I agree with the others. To remove that train bridge was a real good step in the right direction! The station looks really fine and i woould love to ride that airtime monster in real !!! Nice work so far! I will stay tuned to see more of that =D =D =D
