Evanaj15 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Two-Face at Six Flags America, because it has the word "two" in the name.
A.J. Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Oh, that was different than before. Â Two could mean that the ride was constructed by one manufacturer, than picked up or modified by another.
Skycoastin Steve Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Has it operated at two separate parks?
ernierocker Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Two lift hills? Â Now, that is a good guess. Â Two lift hills?! The Beast? Â Yes, correct. Â Now a reminder: Â You will not win this contest by guessing the name of the coaster randomly. For each round, I will give points to whomever guesses what each clue means. For instance, Skycoastin' Steve has gotten a point because he guessed that the first clue meant that there was two names.
Skycoastin Steve Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Wow, that wasn't as obscure as usual. But yay for points!
ernierocker Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Has it operated at two separate parks?  No. Oh, that was different than before. Two could mean that the ride was constructed by one manufacturer, than picked up or modified by another.  It could.  Clue #2: Extension  Here is the score after one round:  Skycoastin' Steve: 2 A.J.: 2 atem122: 1
A.J. Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Extension could mean that a ride's layout was modified by adding extra length.
atem122 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Has the ride time been extended by use of trim brakes?
Schotcher Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) The second and third underground tunnels were extended to create one giant tunnel? Edited August 29, 2011 by Schotcher
esvadj Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Extension - the ride is longer than it was when it first opened?
Skycoastin Steve Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 The 2nd lift hill is an extension to the ride.
ernierocker Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Extension could mean that a ride's layout was modified by adding extra length. Â Yes. Â Extension - the ride is longer than it was when it first opened? Â Yes. Â The 2nd lift hill is an extension to the ride. Â Yes. Â Was the train extended? Â No.
Nozzy Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Powder Keg Two is manufacturers, S&S and Premier I believe. Also has two propulsions, Lift and Launch, and it was extended from original layout with the lift hill.
ernierocker Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 New clue:  Clue #3: Skyline  Updated score after round #2:  Skycoastin Steve: 3 A.J.: 3 atem122: 1 esvadj: 1
QueerRudie Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Powder KegTwo is manufacturers, S&S and Premier I believe. Also has two propulsions, Lift and Launch, and it was extended from original layout with the lift hill. Â I will give you one-word clues every few minutes. The clues will start out hard and get easier as we go on. Each clue will count as a round. I will reward points to the person(s) who come closest to guessing what each clue is referring to. This means that you will probably not win by simply blurting out the names of coasters. You will need to figure out what each clue means. (i.e. park names, coaster manufacturers, etc.) Even if the correct coaster is guessed before all the clues will be given, the game will go on. The winner will be the one with the most points in the end. Â Â PLEASE follow the rules!
A.J. Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Skyline could refer to a roller coaster that's been painted a different color so it doesn't affect the skyline (like Stealth, Wild-Svinet, or Rita).
Skycoastin Steve Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Only the two lift hills of Beast show up on the skyline, one of them being the 2nd one which extended the ride.
ernierocker Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Skyline could refer to a roller coaster that's been painted a different color so it doesn't affect the skyline (like Stealth, Wild-Svinet, or Rita). Â Nope. Â Only the two lift hills of Beast show up on the skyline, one of them being the 2nd one which extended the ride. Â That is true, but you aren't on the right track. Â It's build next to some power lines? Â Um, no.
atem122 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 The coaster fits in as part of its city's sky line?
A.J. Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 The ride could be the only roller coaster in the park that affects the skyline (everything else being below the trees).
ernierocker Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 The coaster fits in as part of its city's sky line? Â You are sort of on the right track with your guess. Â The ride could be the only roller coaster in the park that affects the skyline (everything else being below the trees). Â No.
Skycoastin Steve Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 The 2nd Beast (SOB) is the most prominent thing on the KI skyline. Â (Am I understanding correctly that all clues pertain to Beast, or is it a new coaster every time? Directions weren't exactly clear on that.)
A.J. Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 The ride could have taken another ride's place as the dominant coaster.
