BrandonR Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 So there's some new Legoland Discovery thingy opening near Dallas, TX and they're taking votes for which local attraction to re-create. And what better local attraction could be re-created than Six Flags over Texas?! Please click here and vote for Six Flags over Texas to be re-created in Lego! It says you can vote for up to 3 items but why you'd want to help another option win is beyond me. You can vote once per day until November 15. Let's get this done, TPR!
SharkTums Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Cool contest! I voted for DFW, State Fair, and SFOT! I don't think any Texan would want any of the stadiums right now!
mwm1444 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Followed Elissa's lead on this, I don't know Texas much, but I do know my Lego - great to see more Legoland Discovery Centres popping up.
nagro5 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Just voted. I can't wait to see pictures if it wins!
thespianthrillrider7 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Voted! Would love to see how they recreate Texas Giant after its had its refurb. That would be pretty challenging!
montezooma Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I voted for SFOT and of course South Fork Ranch...I want to see Sue Ellen and Miss Ellie made of legos!
coastersrule85 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I thought about going with the Old Red Courthouse and Dealy Plaza, but that seemed too depressing for Legos, so I went with SFOT, the State Fair, and Fort Worth Stockyards. There is something about a herd of longhorns made of Legos that seems intriguing to me.
mightbeawannabe Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Followed Elissa, and it turns out it you reload the page after you vote, you can do it again an infinite number of times! I voted 27 times....... EDIT: As it so happens, this is my 400th post!
QueerRudie Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Love Field, SFOT and South Fork- Gotta give J.R. a place to park the plane, a place to live, and a place to play in! R.D.
jray21 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I voted for Fair Park, SFOT, and Billy Bob's (Food of course!).
ernierocker Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I voted for Six Flags, DFW, and the Fort Worth Stockyards. I visit Dallas a lot, so we will definitely be checking this out when it opens!
BrandonR Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Looks like SFoT didn't make the cut: http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2010/nov/17/legoland-discovery-center-miniland-will-feature-el/ Of course if you people had voted only for SFoT and not helped other entries get votes, maybe it would have made it! Oh well. It'll still be a fun exhibit.
Jew Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) Of course if you people had voted only for SFoT and not helped other entries get votes, maybe it would have made it! This comment was totally uncalled for and completely disrespectful to all the members of TPR. Who the hell are you to tell people that they should have only voted for SFoT? And who the hell are you to blame the members of TPR for it? I think they made great choices that do a good job showcasing the diversity of the major landmarks in the DFW area. Wow, way to totally overblow my half-joking comment there, buddy. And in case you can't read, I made the topic to try and get SFoT voted in and I still appreciate everyone's effort. But seriously, someone needs to calm down... In the world of message board posts, mine was about as tame and non-disrespectful as they get. "Completely disrespectful to all the members of TPR."
Jew Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) ^Perhaps while you are away from TPR, you can read up on how context works on the internet. Using the rolling eye smilie to make a sarcastic remark (and following it up with "Oh well. It'll still be a fun exhibit.") isn't the best way to convey the fact you were joking. CoasterKidKyle Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Jeez. I knew he was joking. Since when has a sense of humor disappeared off the face of the Earth.
PSiRockin Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I got the sarasm too and usually am oblivious to jokes nevertheless. ^
