jedimaster1227
Premier Rides has sent us a press release regarding their latest contract for a new signature launched coaster for the Trans Studio Theme Park in Indonesia. Trans Studio announced Premier Rides has been selected to build the signature attraction for the new Trans Studio Theme Park at Bundung Supermal in Indonesia. Premier was chosen after completing an exhaustive competitive search. This will be the first launch coaster in Indonesia using a magnetic system and the train will travel forward and backwards. When the ride starts, the sleek train accelerates, reaching its maximum speed in just over two seconds. During the launch, riders will experience a maximum of one G when pushed back in their seats. After the train leaves the station it immediately shoots up, almost vertically into an inverted top hat element. The riders are inverted and race down the second half of the top hat element. For a second time the train reaches maximum before it executes a 180 degree turn to the right with riders shooting up a tower, looking straight up at the sky and experiencing an almost zero G condition. Just before the track ends, the train comes to a stop and is accelerated backwards through the entire course of the ride. Only when the train comes to a stop in the station can the riders catch their breath. Budiman Wijaya, Director of Trans Studio, commented on the quality of Premier’s products: “We were very impressed with the quality and reliability of Premier’s work when we recently visited “Revenge of the Mummy”™ at Universal Studios Singapore. We especially like the dedication shown by Premier’s personnel working and meeting all of the client’s goals.” Wijaya adds, “Our mall project will be one of our nation’s most exciting destinations and we have chosen Premier’s coaster to assure we are offering the best available product to our guests.” Jim Seay, president of Premier Rides noted “It is an incredible honor for Premier being selected for the Trans Studio project. Premier has invested a significant effort expanding into the Asian market which we see as both exciting and dynamic. Indonesia’s economy is strong and we are honored to be working with one of the leading and most respected companies in the region.” ABOUT TRANS STUDIO Trans Studio Indoor Theme Park at Bundung Supermal will be one of the largest indoor theme parks in Asia. The park is under construction and will open in 2011. Trans Studio Theme Park Bundung is a member of the Para Group. Lead by Chairman Chairul Tanjung, Para Group, which is an industry leader in areas including banking, financial services, integrated entertainment, high end retailing and palm oil plantations. thespianthrillrider7
It seems like every coaster these days is launched or has a launch. Sounds similar to Mr. Freeze. Like a mini-Freeze. lol
Ed Farmer
Great to see this kind of launcher still being built, even if it is in Indonesia.
thespianthrillrider7
I'm not really feelin the turn after the top hat. I feel like if its gonna have a turnaround element it needs to be an overbanked turn. Cough Cough Intimidator 305!
PKI Jizzman
GREAT to see a Mr. Freeze-ish Premire coming in! The one in Texas blew me away, and the backwards launch was one of the scariest/coolest moments of any coaster I've been on. The overbank on Freeze was DAMN forceful, so if there's actually a 305-ish turn, that'd be crazy. I'm sure this ride will look stunning; even though this looks like a very rough rendering. Coaster Deane
Riders will experience a maximum of one G when pushed back in their seats?
B-RadG
Riders will experience a maximum of one G when pushed back in their seats? One linear G during launch, not vertical G turing the ride.
DBru
Awesome! I am a huge Premier fan, so I'm glad to see that they are putting more and more projects out into the world. I wonder what the trains for this coaster will look like...do they still make the Mr. Freeze-style cars (which I love)?
Gmaster562
AW! For a long long second, i thought this was going to Hollywood Backlot in California adventure! maybe like a TRON coaster, but now... that second is over.
jray21
I enjoyed Mr. Freeze, so this looks like it will be a good ride. The turn at the top hat could be pretty cool as well.
Gigalyte
I know someone had just asked this question not to long ago, but I wonder will they use Two loading like Mr.freeze The turn should be fine as long as the banking and the the radius is designed right, I doubting Premier pushed the turn to the max. Intamin designed what KD asked for a huge coaster that stimulated being in a high speed nascar they did just that, Intamin pushed I350 to the max . Just because you so called grey or black out for a split second isn't going to kill you, maybe if you have some unknown pre exsisting condition but you could also fart and die if that's the case. I believe I305 mods if any are for mechanical(wheels) long term maintence(wheels) and money saving(wheels) reason only, not because some enthusiast are claiming they're having near death experiences on it. ooops sorry wrong thread my bad Anyways I loved Mr.Freeze this one should be just as fun could even be better with that low to the ground/over water high speed turnaround. superman2
Guys The location of the new park (Trans Studio) is in a shopping centre which already has a indoor park. http://www.rcdb.com/5631.htm Does anyone know if this is a completely new park in another area of the mall or if Trans Studio would replace Kota Fantasi which already has a coaster? Also any idea when Trans Studio and it's Premier rides coaster are planning to open? Cheers

superman2
Stripgear, Thanks for the update and please keep us updated on future progress of this project. I was there myself on 5th April 2011. Major work was still being carried out. Seeing the work still left i don't think Trans Studio will have a soft opening in June. I'll post some construction photos from my trip here. Kota Fantasi was having loads of work done too, and only a handful of rides were open. Luckily for us the roller coaster was running. They were bringing in loads of new rides due to the strong competition they will be getting from Trans Studio soon. New Tran Studio with the premier coaster going up. coaster columns. Coaster porn at it's best. Coaster going up. Loads of work still left. Construction photos.... More construction.... Loads of opening soon posters about in the shopping mall. whole wall poster. Coaster at Kota Fantasi. It's in the same mall were Trans Studio is being built. Luckily for us the coaster was open You can see lighting was down and half the park was closed. Even with over half the park closed there were people about.

DBru
I really hate to see that Premier has (apparently) abandoned the FOF/Mr. Freeze style trains. They are easily some of the coolest-looking rolling stock I've seen. This new style of train, however? Eh...
superman2
@ superman Anyway, where have u been in indonesia? Did u go to dunia fantasi ? im so sad that dunia fantasi is not listed in this park index I went to Time Zone/Puriland/Dunia Fantasi/Taman Safari Indonesia(Bogor)/Kota Fantasi/Wonderia/Trans Studio Makassar/Taman Remaja/Taman Safari Indonesia(Prigen)/Jawa Timur Park 1/Batu Night Spectacular and Wisata Bahari Lamongan. Dunia Fantasi, really is nice park indeed. Why don't you do a report for the park index, i'm pretty sure as your living in Bekasi you must have been to Dunia Fantasi If you don't do it, i'll do one when i have some spare time.
