Did two days of military service this week, so naturally I had to get a picture. It's not every day I'm dressed up in uniform and with a gun.

Latest photo of myself, taken for my annual Playland Season pass.

This whole thing needs an L-I-G-H-T placed above the buyer (i.e. me)

so that their face - can - be - seen! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

After all these years, for some reason, they can't improve this process???

With the very drunk, very sweet, Middle Eastern guy (named Reza) who was sitting in the next seat at the sold out show.

he suggested we take a pic to text to my Husband (since he's insanely jealous, and the friend I was with - in the Friday the 13th shirt above -- thought that would by hysterical).

so we did.

(this is during the band change, so there were still open seats, but the show was completely sold out)

^ One of the three cuties in the top right corner of that last photo, seems to be giving you two, "The Eye."

Actually it's THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE.

heh. . there wasn't that much "family" there. . but there WERE a ton of chubby goth girls.

my friend said, 'where are all the skinny goths??"

my response? "I think these ARE the "skinny" goths"

^ Well, we're of the 1970s-80s concert era. When you could move around

the main floor of wherever who was playing. We did it with YES and Bowie...

Then there was a death, and it turned into "festival seating" blah blah blah.

Lately we saw Bette Midler - from a distance, ha! I would love to see and hear Adele.

But that's out of the question, unless we win some inane contest, lol.

shockingly, as you can tell from what I posted in the "Last Concert" thread, the floor was GA (but they made sure it was only 2/3rds full).

so there were open floor seating for the sold out show -- those were going for upwards of $300 each on the secondary market!

EVERY time we've been to visit friends in Vancouver, Playland has been closed . . so at this point, it's a bucket list park, just to say we've been. . LOL

^ Well that's good about on floor capacity. In our times, we never had an absolutely crushing floor crowd at any concert.

In the end, it was usually a crowd crushing up to the stage itself, so that was a norm. And you either joined it, or held back

and had some space, etc. I did it with Bowie's Thin White Duke Tour. And for YES I was hanging around the sound and light

guys whose setup was in the middle of the floor, usually. Perfect views, I remember.
