terrancew_hod
So why is Hades so terrible? Does Robb look pleased to be on it? This is the look of pure rough riding pain. Kind of like the two wooden coasters I got on at Six Flags Georgia yesterday. (Owwwww!!) Oh and LOL at Robb, poor thing! And Bryan, I got a bone to pick with you (and the people taking the pics)... if ya gonna relive old times, ya gotta do it right! Let me pull up these old pics from my TPR and show ya... Ya'll didn't irritate him enough! You didn't use that um, ample body enough: (I remember he whispered "I'm only 16" when this was snapped ) I even got him doing the now defunct "statue credits"! But most of all... He's not working the camera enough! Sell it! Sell it!! W Work the camera sweetie!!! I mean really! Haven't I taught you anything Bryan? Put your head on it and look pleased! (Robb I hope you farted when he got close) See you guys in tomorrow! Terry
BelizeIt
^Wow I thought only Elissa got that view! But now Robb has shared it with the whole world. Your trip report is a entertaining read as always!

deathbydinn
I guess Hades (maybe even Zeus) need(s) some Timberliner love? [EDIT] And, wait. Is it Avalanche, or Hellcat? [/EDIT] Website says Hellcat, brochures and park signs say Avalanche. It's really Hellcat, the signs and brochures need to be updated. When I rode Hades at the end of last month it was running great, but it really is a front row ride. Hopefully they'll do more retracking soon to help bring it back to what it used to be. ginzo
^Yeah, Hades was great all over the train when we rode it back in 2006. I'm kind of bummed that it has gone to hell so fast, but not really surprised by this.
Wood Dragon 1988
I guess Hades (maybe even Zeus) need(s) some Timberliner love? [EDIT] And, wait. Is it Avalanche, or Hellcat? [/EDIT] For how many years have people said "this ride needs Timberliners, that ride needs Timberliners, etc?" And how many rides actually use Timberliners now? I think enthusiasts get all hyped up about new supposidly revelutionary train design all the time, and forget that PTC trains are one of the most successful coaster trains in history. Pure Impurity
^^Damn, dude. I'm not just suggesting that because it's new, I DID, actually, look at its features. And, additionally, I'm not doubting that PTC's are good trains,--just look at the Legend--I'm simply stating that maybe they just don't fit Hades. In fact, TGG's coasters, over all, don't seem to call for "normal" cars. GCI coasters, for instance, need trailered trains to run up to their full potential. GCI, and TGG coasters both have something in common: they both have very little straight/flat track; As opposed to a more "traditional" out-and-back, relatively "un-banked" designs, there are many turns, and extreme banking (90 DEGREEEEESSS!!!). Trailered trains fit this style better, and Timberliners are trailered trains. One of the Timberliner's "proposed" features is that it puts less stress on the track; Less wear-and-tear, in other words. My biggest point is, though, is that we already gave PTC a chance; maybe it's time time for something else. Okay, so I know this is off topic, and I know we should try and keep the ranting/arguments to a minimum, but I was try to hammer my point home with you. Also, there's no reason to be so demeaning about it; they're just my thoughts. -NZ
thrillrider
So now that the middle America tour is over, what do they plan on doing between now and kings dominion? I am just curious, as I am sure that airline tickets to and from california are not cheap. I believe the IntimidaTour trip is starting now, and Robb and Elissa just go from one trip to another. Yea, but that's a week away. I was just wondering if they are doing any parks between now and then.
larrygator
^Someone gave you bad info! Robb and Elissa travel Monday morning, and host the welcome dinner tomorrow night. vasteel
So is Hades as bad as our own bone rattler TimberWolf at WOF here in KC,it used to be pretty decent now it's just about unrideable as well, CedarFair needs to rip it out and replace it now that prowler rules the park. I totally forgot you guys were visiting us here in KC for a brief spell. I would have ventured out to meet Robb and Elissa and the gang. I've been following you all for YEARS!! And unfortunatley trying to sync up my schedule with your trips never seems to work out. Soon maybe. Sending you all lots of love from KC!!
