prozach626 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 If you see a Starflyer claiming itself to be a "swing ride". Uh...? Sure fooled me, I guess.
Midgetman82 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 You either copy names of other rides at sister-parks, or you scramble the words to create something almost original. If you see a Super Loop claiming itself to be a "coaster". initially, but not anymore Yeah, about that...
CoasterAuditor Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 ^if I'm being honest about Six Flags naming tactics my least favorite BY FAR is Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster. Too many syllables.
fununu01 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 If there's three rides named "Harley Quin Spinsanity."
thrillseeker4552 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 ...if you name your new ride "Harley Quinn Spinsanity" when you already have a ride, with the exact same name, in your park. In all seriousness, obviously they are going to retheme their current Harley Quinn, but I'm a little curious as to why they didn't just name their new ride something else. Sounds like a move that would confuse the general public. Sorry, back on topic now.
prozach626 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 ^How about Goliath, Goliath, Goliath, Goliath, Goliath, or Goliath?
ArizonaGuy Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 You know you're at a Six Flags Park if.....all the marketing for their new rides looks like it was created by Kellyanne Conway and backed by Sean Spicer.
thrillseeker4552 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 ^How about Goliath, Goliath, Goliath, Goliath, Goliath, or Goliath? Last time I checked, no park has two Goliaths. I don't have a problem at all with Six Flags reusing ride names at other parks, but I'd be lying if I say I wasn't shocked when SFOT announced "Harley Quinn Spinsanity" when they already have a ride (fairly new, too) with the exact same name verbatim. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Oh, you know you're a Six Flags park when you forget what color a coaster train is/was because it is always covered in ad wraps.
jynx242 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 You wait longer for chicken fingers and a coke than you do for their signature roller coaster.
larrygator Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 ^you mean "world famous flags chicken strips"
Midgetman82 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 ^Not going to lie, that kinda hurt to read. Which reminds me... ... if you claim as many "world's biggest, best, fastest, etc." records for things no one else is going to bother beating, or often provide no proof (stats, reviews, etc.) to other fluff claims.
