Josh Linn Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 What a disappointment. They just ran out of gas trying to play catch-up in the 2nd half. Damned early goals. Had Bradley not acted like an imbecile and started Ricardo Clark, he wouldn't have had to use a sub 30 minutes into the game, which would've given us a chance to put Edson Buddle or Herculez Gomez in the later stages. I was starting to come around on Bradley, but he needs to be relieved of his duties.
Hercules Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 And Mexico outlasted the US of A. Let me put on my shocked face..... ! Andrew "Lets go México" Iorio They did?
HCLcoasters Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 ^nope, he was just making a joke I think. They technically lasted longer but were kicked in the same round.
cooksta77 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 And with the horrible officiating Mexico is bounced. Andrew "Gotta change my Avatar and Signature" Iorio
Hercules Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 ^nope, he was just making a joke I think. They technically lasted longer but were kicked in the same round. I know they didn't. And I honestly didn't see any sarcasm in his statement. Moving along.
ZeroG001 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 And with the horrible officiating Mexico is bounced. Andrew "Gotta change my Avatar and Signature" Iorio Don't worry. Germany will give Argentina what they deserve.
ajc47 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Holland 2, Brazil 1. Brazil's streak of 4 straight times in the Quarterfinals is snapped.
cooksta77 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 NEDERLANDS ALL THE WAY! Being part Dutch I got up at 7 and was astatic after the game.
Solid Gold Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 It was a dreadful mistake that led Brazil to concede that second goal, but It feels good for Holland nonetheless. I hate that these two had to meet before the finals, and I hope the Dutch win it all.
ParkTrips Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 If there was ever a way to sum up world cup emotions, it would be the end of the Ghana-Uruguay game
chemical_echo Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Ahem...DEUTSCHLAND!! I'm 3 for 3 so far this round.
ZeroG001 Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Everyone doubted me when I called Germany going to the final before the tournament even started. Told me that them winning over Australia 4-0 was luck. Told me that the loss to Serbia was a sign of things to come. Well, looks like I was the one who was right from the start! Let's go Germany! All the way!
viking86 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I have already won $60 on Germany beating England and Argentina. Now I just hope they win the final so I can win another $20.
Thuur Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 And there we are! Holland enters the finals, what a match... I think I have to get my heart checked in the hospital now. U-R-Gay players (©homer)... byebye! EDIT: I hope that woman has strong cheeckbones...
ajc47 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Deutschland has gotten Das Boot. It's Spain and Holland for the Final on Sunday.
testtrack321 Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I'm betting on Spain, I think they have the heart and drive and did better against a harder opponent than Netherlands. Spain, another 1-0, in standard time.
Thuur Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 My bet is of course on The Netherlands. We don't have a extraordanary good team, but the players do have a good drive to win and (so far) they have the right amount of luck that is needed to become world champion. 2-1 for the Dutch in standard time with goals from Sneijder (Of course) and Robben. Oh, by the way: If (if!) The Netherlands win, there will be a canal tour in Amsterdam on Tuesday. So TPR Europe tour guys, be glad you saw some living boats! On Tuesday they will sink again... just like in '88. (From 1:40 min...)
Team Thriller Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Germany did horrible last night against Spain. They didn't play at even half their full potential. It was a big disappointment. -James
Thuur Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I am getting seriously nervous now... And I don't even care about soccer (Besides the European and World cup). Today the canalroute which the team will make if (IF!) we win was made public. EDIT: only 9 living boats will be on the route. Amsterdam is already talking to the owners. Thuur - Come on, let it be Sunday! - Crompvoets
turbolaaf Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I know what you mean Thuur. I'm also only watching this since its a World Cup. But damn it was a hit in their last match and so it will be on sunday. Looking forward to it, even if they don't win.
VegasCoaster Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 My bet is of course on The Netherlands. But Paul the octopus can't be wrong! I'm going for Spain since their defense looks a bit stronger but it looks like if you can stop David Villa, you can stop Spain. I'm happy with either winning especially since neither has won before and they're both very talented.
turbolaaf Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Screw Paul, we've got something else that makes us win. http://www.zie.nl/video/wk-2010/Nederland-wint-aldus-Mannie-de-parkiet/m1azwvef7vkp
Thuur Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 During the European Championship he was wrong as well. I think he's just not really good at performing under the pressure of a final Thuur - I hope they sell him to some Japanese family after the world cup - Crompvoets
