AAA Member Event at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Recommended Posts

I got an email from AAA about this event at SFMM on Friday May 21st...

(Exclusive AAA Member Event at Six Flags)

For just $25 per ticket, enjoy a full day at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Friday, May 21, 2010 and stay for a private AAA member event from 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. The park will be closed to the public, and AAA members will enjoy exclusive use of the rides, shows, merchandise, and concessions.

I was just wondering if they are any AAA members that would be planning to attend this event. Sounds like you can get some nice ERT after 6pm when the park closes to the public. I'll try to go and hope if others would like to join you guys can post in this topic and maybe get a group together for that day.

I think you have to opt-in to recieve email notifications about events for AAA memebers. Sounds like a very good deal especially the after hour perk for AAA members. As this event draws near hopefully we will see if a group can get together to go.

I'm not a AAA member, but had been planning on going with a friend that day (Fridays in May are great for avoiding crowds). Any guesses as to how this could affect crowds? I'm considering moving my trip to a different day if this will make for a crowded park. Are my fears unfounded? Thanks!

I was thinking of going. I am a AAA member and am ready for SFMM with such a low price and maybe non-summer/break crowds and ERT after some depression after WCB. Just wondering if it is just for AAA or several other groups at the same time. A lot of colleges 'gang' together and do this too, I know, I've sponsored them. Email me if a bunch of us joint TPR's and AAA's want to go.

Just received a reply from AAA. SFMM says AAA members can bring guests with them, just be sure the actual AAA member purchases the tickets. Also this is AAA exclusive, no other groups are participating in the 6-midnight ERT.

Two weekends ago, I was at SFMM for Young Life Night there and we only had four hours. However, I did every single coaster in the park including four rides on X2, three on Goliath, three on Superman, and two on Tatsu. I am defenitely interested in attending this, especially because we are AAA members! Sounds like a great event.

Hmmm Eric, Brent and Gregg on board... sounds like it can turn out to be a lot of fun. I'm hoping we can get a nice group together that day. I wanted to post this event in advance so it would give people time to plan it out so no excuses ok kiddos.

^^ Maybe I can get the girl to come along as well, provided she isn't scheduled to work. Diana hasn't been out to SFMM all year, so she may be interested.

^ Yeah, we could end up with quite a group, huh?

I also got this e-mail a couple weeks ago, and I'm definitely going to try to make it. It reminds me of the KROQ Night last year on that same day, in which there were 4 hours of ERT on Terminator, Deja Vu, Tatsu, X2, Goliath, Batman and Riddler's...which was awesome.

Hey Crazy4Coasters, StricklandCC, EBL, fatdaddy, scooterdoug, socalMan123, SirClinksalot, fpsphil, creditcrazy and Chrisrad and anyone else I missed, let's get together and make this AAA event a mini-TPR event. I've got my ticket and a hotel for the night. Let me know if you need any help getting there or back or a ticket. This can be a great post spring break/pre summer day/night. lehmannjames@hotmail.com

Timing fail. I'm really thinking about Bay Area Bash right now, and living in Cincinnati, I'd hate to waste a week just waiting for the AAA event. Then again, my work doesnt start in Coney until the last weekend of May. Still, I'd much rather just get a SF season pass this year and stay a few extra days to hit other California parks...

  • 2 weeks later...

There seems to be a few of us TPR's going to this. Anyone want to hook-up for a get together/dinner maybe right around when the park closes to the public and then becomes our private six hour ERT fiesta? We can make it a mini-WCB.

darklingscribe and everyone else (I think there are about 11 of us who have mentioned going) let's get together either at the start of the day or also for dinner and make it a mini-WCB + two months. I'll be there Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning.
