deathbydinn Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Heres the link to the example I used: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=51125 The links to other pages have been working fine though.
astroworldfan1 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 The problem with the automatic log in is fixed! Thanks for the help.
robbalvey Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 The problem with the automatic log in is fixed! Thanks for the help. Huh...unless Hanno made a change, we didn't do anything to fix it! But I'm glad it's fixed for you!
Pufferfish Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 I am really loving everything about this new forums. I just have one idea for an improvement though. Can we get a larger selection of font colors in the chat? A few of the colors are very hard to read, so those can't really be used and when there's a lot of people in chat you can run out of colors to separate yourself from others so conversations can get very confusing. It's just a suggestion.

It's just a suggestion. I'm not sure if it's something we can fix right away, but I have a feeling that the chat room will get upgraded, and we may even have to swap it out for a different one, at some point in the future. It's an improvement over the old one, but there are a few important things on the back end that it doesn't do (like being able to have two chat windows open at once for us moderators who need to be in two trip chats at the same time). There weren't many options out there for chat rooms for the new forum and this one, for the moment, is the best solution. So please bear with some of the limitations for now and know that we will be looking into it! --Robb
robbalvey Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Time to unstick this as I think things seem to be working pretty well. We will post in this thread again if we update something else on the forum. I know that a modification to allow the option to turn on/off the calendar is coming! --Robb
Hhappy Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 ^ here you go. In the user control panel there's an option now which will allow you to not show the calendar on the index. new calendar settings option
ginzo Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 My comment is I really like the upgraded forum. It really is an upgrade as many of the quirks of the old forum have been fixed. Great work guys!
robbalvey Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 ^ Agreed. Many of the quirks of the old forum was that phpbb2 was a heavily modded system. With the latest round of base software from them, many of those "mods" have now been included with the package and thus given proper testing and tweaking before they were "officially" released. There are still a ton of mods out there that we will continue to add and write for the forum but the base forum is now much more stable than it was before. Glad you like it! --Robb
robbalvey Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I have updated the first post of this thread to keep you all up to date on changes and fixes to the new forums. Please take a look as there are some cool things you might want to update! (Like adding all your social networking buttons!)
STR8FXXXINEDGE Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 This is not a big deal, but I noticed that my little MySpace button keeps adding an additional url at the beginning of the actual url. This is what it sends you to. http://www.myspace.com/http://www.myspace.com/brian*******raymond This is what I'm putting as the url and where it should take you. http://www.myspace.com/brian*******raymond P.S. I edited my url for this post to take out the "f" word.
traincrossin Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 ^For your MySpace profile, you only need to enter your MySpace account name. MySpace Profile:Enter your MySpace account name only. Example: account name
STR8FXXXINEDGE Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 ^ Damnit! I hate being the idiot that didn't follow directions. Thanks for the info!
themeparkman25 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I've encountered a couple pages where the pictures are not loading for whatever reason. In the attached picture, that is the screen I see. Based on the comments, it looks as if other people can see the pictures but for some reason I cannot. Just thought I would point it out.
Hhappy Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 do you have a link for me? could you also let me know which OS you're using and which browser? Screen resolution? Does the same thing happen when using a different browser? thanks in advance
themeparkman25 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Of the two that I have noticed, they are both in the game forum and they are mastersax's posts. The first: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=846250#p846250 The second: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=863462#p863462 My OS is Windows 7. Browser is Google Chrome. Screen Resolution is 1200X800. I opened up Mozilla, my other browser, and the pictures load fun, must be a Chrome thing. Thanks for all your help! It looks great!
DenDen Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 ^ here you go. In the user control panel there's an option now which will allow you to not show the calendar on the index. I love you!
Hhappy Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 looks like chrome does not like bmp files.. interesting... at least the other browsers don't seem to have a problem with it..
robbalvey Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 ^ Yeah, I'll just go on record right now and say that Theme Park Review currently does not support Chrome. If it works, GREAT! But we are not at the point now where we can start making adjustments based on issues with Chrome. Chrome represents only 1.9% of our users so it's just not enough to justify time and money to be spent on it, especially when it seems like Chrome itself is still undergoing a lot of changes. --Robb
deathbydinn Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I've noticied a lot of pictures getting cut off now that used to be fine. The scroll bar used to be at the bottom but I haven't seen it since the upgrade. Example: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25068
Hhappy Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 not sure what you're talking about? looks good to me..
deathbydinn Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 ^ When I look at it using Internet Explorer its fine.
Hhappy Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 ok, so which browser is causing trouble? which version of that browser? which OS are you running? which screen resolution are you running? printscreen might help as well.. thanks
Big Mike Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I read the 1st page and just skipped to the 15th page, sorry. I saw that you said that the statistic page is back, on the navigation page. Can you tell me where this is? Peace, Big Mike

Just something I noticed and thought I would point out. Besides the occasional picture not working, everything else works just fine with Chrome, so I'll stick with it for now and just switch over to Firefox when something definitely is not working.
