DerekRx
Yup, its another boring weekend. Although I'm alone this holiday season, for some reason I still don't have enough funding to travel anywhere until after the new year (stupid new house!). Fortunately, I still have enough money to buy beer! But first, I believe I'll enjoy my beer. You know its soon laundry time when Derek breaks out the Dueling Dragon's sweatshirt Tonight's beer: Weyerbacher Decadence. A Belgian Ale with honey and spices in celebration of 10 years of brewing in Easton.

Sean Menefee
I went rather classic with my selection this evening. Needless to say I've been enjoying my frosty beverages while I've been burried in Quark this productive Saturday night. Check out my pint size Heine and it's smaller, yet so classic friend...... lapseofreason
blech. I know... Josef Hoffbauer... but I was still buzzed by Fosters brought over by a friend and it was the only thing in the fridge... :sobs:
PhishyBrewer
Check out my pint size Heine and it's smaller, yet so classic friend...... How old is that Bud Light? We phased that label out over a year ago. Nasty OLD beer
Sean Menefee
Damn…… A NOT so good friend passed off a 12 pack on me last week after snaking some of my expensive brew last weekend. This has just made that foul even worse dude, I’m gonna have to get even it looks like. It’s time for drastic measures! It looks like a have a case full of souvenirs now eh? I only got through half that pint and called it a night, so it sounds like I wasn’t missing much. Sean "Has 12 Old Ass Beers" Menefee

Rugged One
So Saturday, the wife and I went down into Maryland for a friends 30th birthday party. The party wasn't too far away from Gaithersburg, so we decided it would be an excellent chance to check out the new Dogfish Head Ale House that had just opened in October. Gaithersburg is a pretty well to do area and the new Ale House reflects that, being more swanky but a lot less homey than the brewpub in Rehoboth Beach, DE. I hear that's something they are working on though. Had myself a 60 Min IPA and Snowblower Ale. If we had had more time, I wanted to go for one of their big beers, either the 120 Min IPA or World Wide Stout but we were a little pressed for time. Maybe next time. One of many Victory HopDevils drank throughout the course of the party. One of my favs. The 60 Min IPA. Good beer. The new Dogfish Head Ale House in Gaithersburg, MD. saturday97
A trip to Squatters brewpub, awesome beer (First Amendment Lager, Chasing Tail Ale, and American Wheat). Food is fantastic too, great wings and fish and chips. American Wheat is the BEST hefe I've ever had, the rest taste like dirty hot dog soup! saturday97
Red Rock brewpub in Salt Lake has a cool holder for its taster, you could probably put candles in it when you're finished. Sadly, we only approved of 2, the oatmeal stout and the honey wheat. But both of those were awesome! Looks like something they sell at Pottery Barn! DerekRx
Well, something weird happened today, because it was actually warm enough for me to wash my car?! I then realized it was still Autumn, so it was appropriate that I drink a Weyerbacher Autumnfest Ale. Grandma came over to cook me Sunday dinner, and she even joined in the festivities, with one of my "sucker beers", Loyalhanna Lager. Grandma says "will cook for beer" and so I fulfill her request Today I had time to do the laundry, but not my hair. But check out that beer! Rugged One
That's right. Grannies with beers rock! Nothing beats snuggling up in front of the fire with the wife......and of course a bottle of Stone Smoked Porter. Another beer of Christmas. Santa's Private Reserve by Rogue. A rather delicious amber ale. Ho Ho Hops!

DerekRx
Tonight for dinner I decided to make Hoppy Holiday beer burgers, using Weyerbacher Hops Infusion Ale as the beer of choice. I think I managed to eat 4 burgers in like 10 minutes. Of course, accompanying the burger was a Hops Infusion. Beer, it goes with anything! memphish
Made another run to West Memphis tonight. (Made it out and back in less than a hour round trip just in time for 46oz margaritas at El Mezcal with the Memphis VeeDub group. ) Take my previous TR and replace the 3 sixers of Frambozen with New Belgium's Trippel. I must say it is one tasty beer. I'd liken it to a Big Kahuna burger from that new Hawaiian burger joint. MMMM mmmm That is a Tasty Beer. ...ok I suck. I also picked up a six of Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale. As it is yet untested no picture will be posted. (read: Don't have camera) Trippel Served at: Its sitting outside, and its 29 out there now, I should bring it in. The first one feels pretty close to the 45 degree recommended temp. ABV: 7.8% My opinion: This is a very tasty brew, and at 7.8% im supprised more people still go for 1554 or Fat Tire over this one. At this point I'm glad there are 17 more to go through over Christmas.
PhishyBrewer
^I still have a 6-pack of Trippel sitting in my fridge from over a year ago. I did not enjoy this brew at all. I use the beer for cooking now.

Nrthwnd
"Curious Question(s) of The Week" Do any of you guys keep any kind of stats lists on your various (and many, I might add, from observation) libations of liquid refreshment? Just curious, cause I am constantly amazed how any and/or all of you have the information so well in your captions. So on that, my follow-up to "the above" I guess would be, how many actual different brand labelled brews do you think (or know) you go thru in a month? Or should I ask, maybe in a week?
CoasterFanatic
I am probably not as "versed" as the rest, but I would estimate that I go through about 3-4 different labels a week. Sometimes much more ... sometimes less. We need to post our beer "ride lists". Better yet, we need to get a Mitch to start an annual Beer Poll! DerekRx
I have my "beer count" on MS Word, just like my coaster count. Every time I try a new beer, I write it down. I'm up around 150 documented thus far, but I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple I drank before I kept count. Right now I have 15 different labels in my fridge downstairs which isn't too bad, considering I live in Pennsylvania and have to buy my beer by the case (24) instead of just a 6-pack. Some companies are nice and make their beers available in variety packs, but most of them only sell 1 type of beer per case. Its hard for me to pick up a whole case of something I never had before, not knowing if its worth the $30-40 I'd spend on it. Most beers I try either at beer festivals, locally brewed micros at restaurants, the actual microbrewery, or when I'm out of state. Being a beer credit whore in Pennsylvania is almost as hard as being a coaster credit whore in Montana. Tonights beer: Weyerbacher Black Hole, one of their newest brews, a porter. Kinda nutty, kinda chocolate/coffee-like. A good beer for when its cold outside! The beer in its glass, the bottle it came in, and the bottle opener used to enjoy this beverage
