DerekRx
Last night I was taken out for a very late birthday dinner, so I decided to hit up a local Brew Pub that I'd never been to. We went to Stoudt's Brewery in Adamstown, PA, where I chose to start off the night with their Fest, a Munich inspired Oktoberfest beer. Along with that I had Beef Stroganoff with spatzel, then finished the night with an India Pale Ale. On the way out, I hit the gift shop where I picked up a Variety pack. Look for updates throughout the week on each of their types of beers.

PhishyBrewer
Tasted the 31st edition of Anchor Brewing's "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" beer. Let me just say this... they've had WAY better years But I was VERY disappointed! It looks tasty...
CoasterFanatic
^ I just had my first Weyerbacher Christmas Ale for the year and it too was a little bit on the dissapointing side. Must be bad missletoe or something this year.
DerekRx
Here's a brief recap of my night of variety last night: After a long day of painting my new house, I settle down for the night with a Stoudt's Weizen. Sadly, I had no lemons in the house Before tasting it myself, I needed a guinea pig to sample it for approval. Finally I went with the Stoudt's Scarlett Lady Ale E.S.B Next up was Stoudt's Pils, another German inspired beer. Here's to you, Soeren! I then broke out the Stoudt's Gold Lager, which I tasted the night before at their restaurant. I started off the night with Victory Festbier, an Oktoberfest style of amber lager
Hattuchili
For dinner I had another good Hefeweizen, a Erdinger! Oh and I used my new beer glass! Thanks for that, Elissa and Robb! --Sören Erdinger and my new glass!
Bush985
I had a Hefewiezen at BJ's Brewhouse last night in San Jose. I didn't think it was the best I've had, but it was tasty! -RD
DerekRx
Tonight I decided to start the night off with a Stoudt's Double IPA. Very aromatic and highly hoppy. Unlike David Aker's final kick vs the Cowboys, ITS GOOD! The guinea pig was sleeping, so I was forced to sample it myself... Twice the IPA in 1 serving....for those too lazy to walk back to the fridge

USRoadTripper
Yay! I can finally reply to this thread! Tonight I bought a bottle of Concha y Torro Frontera chardonnay. Yes, it's cheap wine! But it's the best cheap wine I've found thus far! But for the bigger question...can someone please recommend a good corckscrew to me? I am a girly-man woman with very weak hands, so I would need one of those that almost fully extract it for you. I just about passed out trying to get the cork out of this bottle, and obliterated the cork in the process! And I'd prefer not to pay a million bucks for it, if someone can recommend one for me (sorry if that has been asked before, but I admit that I haven't read all 26 pages of this thread!) -Julie

Sean Menefee
Awesome combination and a frosty mug. 8) Newcastle & Pale Ale!
USRoadTripper
That's the kind I have (not the same brand, but the same design)! But it only pulls the cork halfway out, and I have to pull with all my might to even budge iit at all. Seriously I have pathetic little weak hands and can't pull it out using one of those. I almost broke the cork in half tonight, and even contemplated pushing the cork back into the bottle just to get the wine out! Any suggestions?? -Julie
PhishyBrewer
Who drinks Chardonnay when it's this cold outside? Oh yeah... you crazy midwest folks

DerekRx
Tonight's theme was America. After paying too much for gas, getting a bunch of bills in the mail, and having some charity call me for a donation, I decided to sit down and kick back with a Stoudt's American Pale Ale to go along with my pizza. It ain't half bad. God Bless America The doctor samples the goods... America in all its glory

DerekRx
I only drink after work, but most of the time I'm so ready for that beer when I get home that I don't even bother changing clothing before jumping right into my first beverage of the night. I do take my hobbies with me to work though, I have a few roller coaster pins on my labcoat, drink my beverages in a beer mug instead of a coffee mug (Victory HopDevil glass) and even wear a beer shirt every so often (today was Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale). If I could drink during work, I'd probably never leave the office (except when I run out of beer!)
