They've done a lot in a week, which is impressive with the kind of weather we've had this last week. Lots of lightning and rain. Ironically Fright Dome opens on Thursday so Vegas isn't without a Haunt for atleast another month. Â I never did the Goretorium so I can't say I'm really sad. Ironically Fright Dome opens on Thursday so Vegas isn't without a Haunt for atleast another month. I never did the Goretorium so I can't say I'm really sad. I had always heard it was just OK, nothing great.  It was good, but not $30 good. Priced themselves out of business, something that was likely due to its location (rent on the strip can't be cheap). It looked today like all the temporary lattice spokes were removed and the whole wheel is supported by the cables now. Â Â when we were there in May, we were told that they were expecting it to be ~$22 per person. (which sounded WAY too cheap to me). Â my Aunt, who works in Flamingo at the desk, told me that she's hearing it's going to be $35 per person, and that's what she's been telling people who have been asking. Â Â so I expect when it opens, it will be $39.99 per person, with discount coupons all up and down the strip to save a few bucks here and there. Â Â was just in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend, and their big wheel (across from Olympic Park), was only $15 per person. . .but that one is a child's ride (22 stories) compare to the size of High-Roller. Â They still have to compete with Stratosphere and the Eiffel tower when it comes to attractions with a view, so it can't be TOO expensive. I am recently divorced and looking to just have some fun to start next year. I am not looking at "instant action" and more of a place to socialize and have fun with others in my age range starting over. Although, I would not deny any "instant action" given the opportunity.
