LOL, I sent them that link yesterday when they posted their article! I am very excited to see a new version of the rockets and I hope they do come state side.

Put this ontop of the old Rocket Rods platform, and Tomorrowland instantly has a new popular thrill ride.

 

I like this idea.

You both know as well as I that platform and everything related to People Mover is doomed. So this will never happen, lol.

 

I am really excited for D23 this year because I really hope they will release a ton of stuff for the park. And hopefully even a model!

Just found a new photo in Screamscape, sent in by by Alain of Disney & More (thanks!),

showing the (practically) entire layout of the Crystal Grotto Boat Ride, which also

goes inside under the massive castle, there. I always thought the load/unload station

might be inside the castle itself, but now I'm not sure. The building to the middle-right

there looks like a station, but it might also be a restaurant and/or a shop. Or...both!

The photo, with attraction titles over a lot of other stuff in the park!

I can't speak for the whole building, but with the rid having a big straight away there, iI;m going to guess that's the station. At least on the bottom floor of that building. I ove they use of space for this ride. Overlapping attractions like the boat ride and the castle is so cool and adds more depth to the castle itself.

^ It's confirmed about that loading station! Screamscape (thanks again!) just posted another photo, showing another angle view, with the station pointed out there.

 

And I just realized, when I took a second look. That circular roof on the left should be where the Hunny Pot Spin ride will be. And that should mean, what's above it is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride!

 

And it looks pretty big, too! A lot more "diamond mine" there.

A bit bright on the eyes, but the Crystal Grotto Boarding Bldg. is marked. Yay!

Rumors say the Mine Coaster is a clone as far as the ride goes. So they might be making the mine building bigger, but I wouldn't expect anything drastically different.

Did they say when the park is going to open? I just can't see it opening this year.

Rumors say the Mine Coaster is a clone as far as the ride goes. So they might be making the mine building bigger, but I wouldn't expect anything drastically different.

 

Maybe they'll throw in the "Hatbox Ghost."

^ LOL. Well, for this version, I thought I saw on a concept art map, that it won't be able

to be totally walked around, like the original in WDW. So, maybe the "mountain"

will just be built up a bit more? We'll find out, soon enough.

Disney and More posted another construction photo on their Facebook page.

And it's the park's merry-go-round/carousel. A two-leveled one!

 

This will be the second two-level one they've built, after the one in Tokyo Disney Sea.

I think it's actually smaller. The roof enclosure makes it look a lot bigger than it is, just like at TDS.

 

 

If you look at the actual rotating carousel structure at SDL (underneath the large roof), it appears considerably smaller. The floor height per level (if it is two-level) also seems quite a bit lower. There was some speculation on another board that it may just be a single level with a very high ceiling.

 

It does look big, but I don't think it's quite big enough for 2 levels. There are 2 levels of scaffolding in it, but those are typically around 7' tall, which is smaller than a normal floor of a building. It will probably just be a really big carousel, hopefully with lots of neat details

EDIT To Add: these photos were most likely taken, before the Carousel started

taking shape. A more recent photo (see above somewhere) shows the roof and

framework already up, but it's not finished in this first overhead shot.

 

Just noting.

All of FantasyLand lies here behind (and to the sides of) The Castle.

Note the large dark building up back? Could/should be a new show building.

And what's all below this, is the entrance/portal/FriendsGarden to the park.

I also just discovered a link at Screamscape.com that takes you to a

drone cam flight over part of the park! Mostly over FantasyLand, but it

really shows you the HUGEness of the place!

I would have loved them to put in the hatbox ghost there and not DL. The DL fanboys would go insane not having it at the original one.

A couple more construction photos I found, through Screamscape.com

 

The first is looking through the TRON Coaster outdoor canopy to the Castle.

 

The second shows what should be a probable (?) waterfall at the end of the

mountain range that holds the park's raft ride.

 

And hides their Soarin' attraction.

Just found out a new Disney Store is opening in Shanghai, right near the Pearl Tower!

May 20 is the opening date, and it looks to be a pretty big shop, from the photos I

found Disney and More posting on Facebook. (thanks D&M!)
