Cavs Fan
I knew about Sea World before about Busch. I still was confused when it Busch Entertainment because I didn't know they had Sea World. I finally found out when I looked at the back of my Shamu Express photo from Sea World Orlando. I need to go back there. I was afraid of big stuff 2 years ago. Just a little . DenDen
Plain and simple, it's just a corporate name change to separate the parks from the beer. Anyone else see what I see?

haiderodes
I have found through working for a large "entertainment" company myself that names come and go especially on the back end. Sometimes it can make you or break you, but I agree sometimes the path of least resistance is best. For example, my company Harrah's Entertainment, has many brands including the namesake Harrah's branded properties. However, some time ago they announced an intention to rename the parent company Caesars Entertainment because that brand, which we own, had more international recognition. So while only two out of 40 properties are called Caesars, its that perception of the name that wins over. I see this name change as something similar. While the main catalyst is a change in ownership, I think putting the most widely known name in the company up front makes sense. As far as "entertainment" goes, it probably represents any other ventures present and future that aren't necessarily related to a park itself. Many companies use that term in their name to describe a broad range of their products and services. Of course this is just my two cents
jarmor
Plain and simple, it's just a corporate name change to separate the parks from the beer. Anyone else see what I see? I get what you are saying but even if they drop the "busch" they still have 2 "busch" branded parks... I see a "rename/re-logo the 2 busch parks" photoshop thread coming...yes??? No??? Philrad71
Plain and simple, it's just a corporate name change to separate the parks from the beer. Anyone else see what I see? Okay, I guess I can see them wanting to seperate themselves from Bud products...but beer altogether? EGADS...that would be a travesty!
holidayworld08
News from screamscape... (12/4/09) In a kind of odd parting shot, a memo was sent out to all Busch employees following the announcement of the sale of the BEC parks to Blackstone to state that “There will be a continuing connection between Anheuser-Busch and BEC. The “Busch Gardens” name will be used in the Busch Gardens parks, and Anheuser-Busch will be a corporate sponsor in all but the San Diego and Sesame Place parks.“ Now I can see why they really have no need to be a sponsor at Sesame Place, but I can’t fathom why they would back out any relationship with SeaWorld San Diego. Anyone know more? One more fun note… Google Maps Street View has been updated to include in-park coverage of SeaWorld California, SeaWorld Texas, SeaWorld Florida as well as Discovery Cove and Aquatica. They also report that new coverage will be added soon for Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Water Country USA, Sesame Place, Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island. Not exactly surprising. SharkTums
^Um, not exactly sure I follow your logic. You're encouraging parents directly responsible for children in a theme park setting to drink alcohol! so they don't snap?!? I know I don't want a bunch of drunk annoying parents hanging around while I'm playing with my kid at a children's park. There are plenty of children's parks where alcohol isn't served, I don't see a problem with that here.
