twilight79 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Such great enthusiasm and excitement from Dan Daniel Koch @SplashinDan · 50m Happy 4th of July! The Koch family loves Alabama, America and the Rampage. God bless Alabama! #SplashAdventure
John Peck Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Fantastic! I am so excited for Dan and Pat and all the work they are doing! Quite an Adventure.... and Alabama-sized Adventure!
twilight79 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Rampage looks so lonley now with out his kid sister Zoomerang, I hope they plan on putting a bigger and better coaster in her place
aCoasterStory Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 ^Tee Hee Hee! Be careful what you wish for! What do you think they're going to rename Led Zeppelin/Time Machine to?
twilight79 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 ^Tee Hee Hee! Be careful what you wish for! What do you think they're going to rename Led Zeppelin/Time Machine to? Is that coming to Alabama Adventure?
aCoasterStory Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 ^Tee Hee Hee! Be careful what you wish for! What do you think they're going to rename Led Zeppelin/Time Machine to? Is that coming to Alabama Adventure? It would make a lot of sense. And if I've read between the lines correctly, Guy thinks so as well.
twilight79 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 That would be outstanding if it did! fingers crossed also, it would be great if the water park could get one of those tornado slide things
ZeroGravity55 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Man.... that is a lot of hard work. And they ripped it all up. I wonder if RMC is doing this. But, Gravity Group could be doing it since Dan Koch has delt with them before. The Gravity Group is a design firm that specializes in wooden coaster design. The don't manufacturer the rides they design, like GCI does. Alan Schilke designs the rides for RMC, then they construct the rides. TGG could have very well consulted the park on what needs to be replaced and what needs to be fixed, but as for the actual work, the park probably hired an outside crew. That is cheaper for the park to do.
twilight79 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Christian music festival this past weekend, so nice to see the park crowded again!!
twilight79 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 New Kiddie Ride for the dryside (jump-a-round) added this passed saturday!!
coasterchitchat Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 So now we know who's doing The Rampage refurbishment. Kinda wished they had RMC redo instead of themselves. Nothing wrong, it's just RMC Topper Track makes everything better.
Midgetman82 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Cheaper alternative by a trusted team wouldn't hurt, I don't think. I say as long as it's back open and running well then it wouldn't hurt, and hopefully it can run better than ever.
Shavethewhales Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 We already knew it was an in-house job. Unless I'm missing something, they really aren't doing much extensive work on this coaster, just replacing the top running boards and cutting back the vegetation. I'll be interested to hear what the first rides are like. Someday I hope Ozark Wildcat can come back to life with a similar refurbishment.
mikeykaise Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I just think its cool that one of the HW crew members came down to Alabama with Dan, I wonder who else went with Dan.
twilight79 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Splash Adventure Testing the Jump around. This ride is perfect, so glad the rides are coming back
