^Nothing wrong with that!

(I was soooo tempted to book a trip to Paris last December just so I could say I made it to all the Disney resorts in the same year! I'm still tempted to go to Paris, so I could say I technically went to all the parks within a year.)

^ She's so lucky, she has more credits than me, and I'm 15 years older her. I can hopefully go on a trip next summer if your doing a US trip. The family is probably going to Africa for 2 months for the church building trip with my church. I have college starting in September, and my parents wont be back until October. I am getting a job so awesome. BTW if you are 18 you're good on everything besides drinking, which I have never done besides a glass of whine at my friends Bar Mitzvah.

That sounds really cool but also maybe a little like a "waste" in a way. Just to go to all those parks (and parts) of the world and only do Disney Parks. But then again, it is more of a "relax" or "real" vacation instead of a rush-rush-cush-CREDITS!-CREDITS!-CREDITS! Trip (of course you could make it that way ) Plus you'd still get on some nice coasters and rides. I think a lot of people would be interested.

It might seem like a waste to you (and this trip is not my cup of tea either), but it is a Dream Vacation for many and it sounds like a lot of people are already interested. I'm sure they could fill this trip to their quota, if the economy doesn't get too much worse.

At first I thought I would be 'Disney-ed out' if I did a trip like this, but as I thought about it, each resort for the most part has a unique park or attractions, and it would be cool to see the differences between cultures at parks that are supposed to have some similarity.

The problem for me going in the near future would be the cost. I do plan on keeping a part time job or to begin tutoring once I start the teaching gig for my theme park-trip money, so if there is a Disney Around the World Sequel, then maybe I could tag along for that.

What are you thinking for North-East Robb?

Knoebels, Compounce (assuming un de-sexed Dash), SFNE, SFGAdv would be a perfect trip on their own.

Some of those parks are more "East Coast", we're talking more North East like:

- La Ronde

- Great Escape

- Canobie Lake

- Funtown/Splash town

- Closeby Credit whore stuff (Sylvan Beach, Story Land, etc)

We would probably include Compounce & SFNE if time allows (this would be a long weekend trip)

I might join you for the East Coast Trip:) because i want to visit some new theme park i only have Canada's Wonderland and it's not enough for me:P but i need to discuss to my parents first if they would let me go.

The UK trip is really appealing to me. One of the universities I'm looking at is in Scotland, miles from any half-decent theme park so a UK tour would be the perfect way to end almost a year of no coasters.

The major UK parks are: Thorpe Park, Chessington, Legoland maybe, Oakwood, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Lightwater Valley, Flamingoland and possibly, because they went there last time, my home parks - Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Joyland and Pleasurewood Hills

Major parks like what? I don't know much about other parks outside the US besides Alton Towers, lol. You told other people who asked about other 2010 trips some parks that it might would include.

Just go back and read the TRP trip reports from the 2006 UK trip.

I'd expect the 2010 trip to be pretty similar.

Regarding a cultural trip, I would rather go on something coaster/theme park-focussed. I really do think due to the scattered nature of our parks that R&E would be better off waiting a few years before even considering an Australia one. Let our attraction lineup be supplemented by a few extra developments first.

Thing is though, no matter which way you cut it, parks overseas will always have more on offer.....Our parks might have some extra developments, but at the same time parks overseas are going to have grown in the same period too, so you are back to square one....So people might as well come here, especially if they have already seen the major places, and are making a choice between seeing something new, or revisiting ones from before.

Agreed. Just look at this report:

http://www.themeparkreview.com/uk2006/

And assume most of those parks will be included.

Anyway, I think for right now I'm going to lock this thread because we really need to focus on our 2009 trips and when the time comes to start talking more about 2010 and beyond, we'll bring this thread back to life!
