printersdevil78
Their 'animal-style fries' are always a must when I go. I've heard of In-N-Out's "animal-style" burgers, but what are "animal-style" fries? I've only been to one In-N-Out (in Vegas), and I can't wait to go again during my early arrival day on the West Coast Trip! Going back to page 1 and stealing Robb's scale: 1 - My favorite Fast Food! 2 - Fast Food I really like a lot and would make a trip for 3 - Fast Food that I like, but wouldn't go out of the way for 4 - Fast Food that isn't very good, but I would eat it again if I HAD to. 5 - Fast Food that I don't ever care to eat again! Ok, here is my "1" list: Jack in the Box (none anywhere near where I live, so it's a treat) In-N-Out (see above) White Castle (see above again) Taco John's (and again) Nathan's Hot Dogs Quizno's Arby's Checkers Here is my "2" list: Fuddrucker's Sonic Chick-Fil-A Sbarro A&W Boston Market Krispy Kreme Here is my "3" list: Papa John's Popeye's Taco Bell Panera Bread Dairy Queen Dunkin' Donuts Here is my "4" list: Pizza Hut Kentucky Fried Chicken McDonald's Villa Pizza Johnny Rockets Wendy's Roy Rogers Salsarita's Here is my "5" list: Burger King Domino's Subway Hardees (except breakfast) Of course, since I cut most fast food out of my diet last March, I've lost more than 60 pounds and saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Just sayin'....
AviatorCoaster
^ Animal style fries are fries with cheese, grilled onions, and secret sauce. I can only stand a few bites personally. and yes, BK fries are pretty bomb as well.
ebl
I rarely eat fries anymore because they send my blood sugar soaring. But...I do like In-N-Out's fries better than the ones at McDonald's. However, I've been eating healthier stuff like the original beef or chicken tacos at Baja Fresh and have rediscovered El Pollo Loco for good chicken tacos. When possible, I get a burger on a whole wheat bun and forgo the secret sauce/mayo (but I always have anyway because I can't stand the stuff). Funny thing---I didn't realize that I was the one who started this thread. Eric
Calicoasters
^^I could animal fries for the rest of my life! I think Burger Fries are pretty good too, but nothing else on the menu really excites me. My favorite fries are the criss cut fries at Carl's Jr. Nothing complete's a $6 jalepeno burger like those fries! I noticed lately that fast food places don't make good onion rings anymore! Carl's suck, Jack's suck, and so do Burger kings. I was shocked to discover this, but Johnny Rockets at Six Flags has pretty good oniom rings! ebl
^ I did eat some JR onion rings at WCB; yeah, they're not bad. The best onion rings are usually at mom-and-pop type fast food places. Burger King's look like something you'd find in your grocer's freezer---small and all the same size. Eric
AviatorCoaster
^^ Agreed. they're always soggy! Farmer Boy's makes the best zucchini I've ever had. and the ranch sauce is good too. I only like ranch from there and Jack-in-the-Box. it's pretty disgusting at other places.

ebl
^ Sort of like steak fries, I'm guessing. At In-N-Out, I've started getting something called the Flying Dutchman, which is off of their "secret" menu. It's just two patties of meat with two patties of cheese, served on a burger wrapper. This is a good, low carb way to enjoy In-N-Out for those of us who have to watch the carbs. This is full of protein, but it's not exactly low in fat... Six Flags Enthuseast
We don't have any In-N-Out's here in Western Washington, the closest one isn't far from Spokane. I think by what everyone says, it looks good, so if I visit Silverwood I'll definitely consider trying! Do they have good burgers? (just wondering.......) ebl
^ In-N-Out is a good product; my only gripe is that the burger patties should be bigger. They tend to get lost in the veggies and sauce in my opinion. Eric
Six Flags Enthuseast
Well, I'm ok with small patties. Sounds like a good taste test for me then!

Sorry to disappoint you, but I believe the closest one to Spokane is still over 600 miles away. The only In-N-Outs are in California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah. Do they have good burgers? (just wondering.......) They are pretty good, but I think their relative scarcity plays a big part into their legend. Still, they're many steps up from a typical fast food place. mike541x
God, I wish we had a White Castle and Sonic in my state. My favorites: Burger King Jerry's Subs and Pizza MacDonalds (Recently got back into them) Pizza Hut Checkers A lot others too.
gerd.muller
Here in Germany, Mc´Donalds just started to serve "snack-sized" Burgers. My favourite is the italian one, with beef, mozzarella, roquette and a herb-sauce in a ciabatta-bun!

AllenA07
We're getting one out here called "5 guys and fries" which I've heard is pretty decent. However as of right now In n' Out remains my favorite.

Six Flags Enthuseast
I thought I saw some kind of In-N-Out in Idaho or something. I'm not sure, could've been some other kind of fast food place with some similar name. I guess I'll try it when I go to SFMM during Spring Break. Meteornotes
Five Guys is the best "fast food" burger. Nothing else comes close. dt
ebl
The Habit out here in Ventura County makes a decent burger in my opinion. At one time, they had good chili cheese dogs, but for some reason they pulled their chili off the menu because they thought "it wasn't good enough." Calicoasters
Has anybody here every ate at Philly's Best? I just noticed there is one not far from SFMM and one really close to KBF. Usually I eat at Portillo's when I'm at KBF, but I think I want to give Philly's Best a try, so does anybody recommend it?
printersdevil78
God, I wish we had a White Castle and Sonic in my state. Oh, but you soon will! A Sonic, anyway. Stop by Salisbury in about two months and I'll show you around the new place (bonus: They're building it in a Wal-Mart parking lot).
