Jose Eber Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 What do you all think? (images courtesy of Nolimitsfairground.com) ( I couldn't upload all images --ftp error).
Red Benny Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Is this an expansion to nolimits? ..or a standalone program? It's a prettty neat idea.
Shadowforce Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 It is created by some friends of Ole, who permitted them to use the trademarked name NoLimits, and whose software company, Mad Data, will be handling the distribution. It is described as a screensaver style application. It will not be free, not even to owners of the original NoLimits.
Jose Eber Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 It will not be free, not even to owners of the original NoLimits. Since when do we expect software to be free? ?!??! Personally I think Ole could have charged $2-3 bucks for the latest 1.55 release. time = money, and the guy spends a LOT of time on no limits. Do you work for free? Cuz then I could use you. My house needs to be vacuumed. P.
Shadowforce Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Ole is a real giver when it comes to software like this. However, seeing as he have had little to no influence on the development of this game, it won't be free, as i had half-expected when I saw the NoLimits name in the logo. Do you work for free? Cuz then I could use you. My house needs to be vacuumed. Nope, but I'm not accustomed to receiving alot of bucks for hard work, and I'd never complain about working enviroment. If you just cover travelling fees, then...
M_Force_4_ever Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 This looks like a pretty good program, If it's up to No Limits quality then it should be pretty good. I hope you can make parks with coasters and flats.
Paul_Hollibone Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I don't. Thats what RCT3 is for. The main idea for this "program" is to have basically a No Limits Coaster, based on Flat rides. Thats all there is too it. Something Acurate so Mad Dog can compete with Atari.
Jose Eber Posted April 4, 2005 Author Posted April 4, 2005 I can't wait for No limits two. Apparently for the features I want (dual stations, storage bay) the app needs to be re-written ground up -- poor Ole. Let's hope Fairground is as good as it looks. Jose.
Jose Eber Posted April 4, 2005 Author Posted April 4, 2005 Lets just say its going to happen, its just a matter of time? Jose "I think I've said too much" Eber
xzmarcozx Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Look here: http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=8180&item=5181330902&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW :? I don't know...maybe it's a fake! Bye, Marco.
Rollerholden Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I downloaded No Limits Fair Grounds today and installed it but when I tried to start the game, nothing happened. Does anyone know what I should do to make it work?
Real Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I purchased it and while its 25 bucks, its the freakin coolest screensaver ever. I just start it up when Im going out, turn music on but softly, then turn the rides on automatic and set it to automatically scan the park. Its fun just to watch even if its not totally immersive. I love flat rides, so its natural.
viking86 Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I bought it too after playing the demo. It isnt excactly the 'greatest game' but like Real said, its the best screensaver ever
Jose Eber Posted May 3, 2005 Author Posted May 3, 2005 I'm sure similar if not identical reasons they don't sell no limits in stores.
Angry_Gumball Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 www.nolimitsfairground.com is where you'll find the demo. Go to the downloads area.
riccoaster Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Sorry to bring this topic back to life but i'm thinking about getting Nl Fairgrounds is it worth getting?
FeelTheFORCE Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 How are you supposed to make the rides go on the demo?
