^^ Kirnu and Inferno both runs 3 trains, so it would be highly unlikely that this one will have less. I think I have heard as many as 5 trains. And seeing that it's possible to have 3 cars on the layout all the time, then 5 is pretty plausible.

And since each car (train) fit's 8 people then it's more likely that Insane will have better throughput then a standard mouse. As long as they keep cranking those trains through. Gröna Lund lists a throughput of around 800 pph. But then again Gröna Lund is a tiny park so they don't really need a big capacity monster.

Wow, I thought they only held four people per car. I also didn't think there'd be more than one 'train'. That does make sense, about the wild mouse. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

Update time!!

Since the last update they have added a lot of smaller stuff to finish of the installation and preparing it for testing. They completed the pull-through a few days after they added the final piece, there is still just 2 car chassis on the track, I'm pretty sure that it will stay that way until they start to add the station building and get a floor under the station track. Yesterday they added the first of the 2 lift chains, and they are adding the second one as I write this. No sign of any station/control booth yet, so it won't start testing for a while...

Adding the second chain:

Kirnu and Inferno really pop a nice punch on their last little "hill" right before the brake run. I am hoping that because this ride has multiple hills like the ones on the aforementioned coasters, they will have a lot more spinning of the trains. Does anyone know if it spins dependent on weight placement in the train?

^^ I'm hoping that I will be able to get there when you are in the neighborhood, but I could also be caught up in my degree project.

^ Like any other spinning coaster then weight distribution is key to get a good spin. It's like what the Attraction Manager said during an interview,

"Every ride will be different, it depends on number of riders, weights, etc.".

Weight is very dependant, No Single Riders on these rides, I had to wait in an almost Empty Terra Mitica for another single rider to appear so I could enjoy Inferno, and what a ride!!!

I have to say, the first drop when you suddenly reverse position if you are facing away from the ride certainly gives you a shock, and that last hill is great fun.....not a particularily scary ride, but so much fun, you just cannot help but laugh all the way round!

Please build more of these, great fun!

the reason I was given from the ride op's was that it is a balance thing.

If you are in a pair, you cannot ride next to each other, you ride back to back from each other, thus if you are on your own, you need someone else to sit back to back with you to balance the car.

Anyone got anymore information on this?

On Kirnu they wouldnt dispatch with any empty seats. There was a short line for it all day (well, before it broke down) so there werent any problems filling the seats, but it meant that quite alot of people had to ride with a stranger. No one seemed to mind though.

Gröna Lund is very keen to fill up all seats on all rides at all time. So single rider isn't really a problem, however they should really have a single rider queue to speed up the loading. I have for instance skipped a 30+ minute line on the free-fall tower (tilt side) just because there were 3 in that car (I just got in that line as they called it out).

Looks awesome!

I have to say, these zacspin rides look like one of the best ride designs ever: huge thrill in a very small space!

Imagine what the ball coaster would be like!

(the difference between a ball coaster and a zacspin is, that the ball coaster uses a LSM launch (maybe even lift) system...)

I LOVE how they built it right at the edge of the water. It should be a very nice view from the seats facing forwards as all you will see is water and the track dissappearing. And with the ride being twice as long as Kirnu, which totally rocks, it should be a fantastic experience!

Technically they're both considered "Ball Coasters". But so far every park that's bought one has bought the model with the chain lift, which Intamin calls a "ZacSpin". The LSM variety doesn't have a nickname yet, but it uses the LSMs for slow propulsion around the track, like Maverick's lift hill.

It'll be interesting to see who gets the first LSM Ball Coaster...hopefully it'll be a park I can get to relatively easily, because I really really want to ride one of these things! But with the economy and limited money for spending and such, I'm afraid I couldn't make the Scandi trip this year...

Patience Joseph...the US will get one of these rides someday, I can just feel it...
