astroworldfan1
Hey Guys! Here is a 2004 SFNO brochure. I thought I would add this in! Sadly, I didn't get a season pass for SFNO. But, I did visit the park a lot! Damn it, I can't find my 2000 Jazzland Seasonpass! Enjoy! I want your comments! -Tatum Feel free to comment! winningfreak
^ Nice maps! I really wish I got a visit when it was open. I got a ride by eariler this year but it was just sad...
astroworldfan1
^ Thanks! I'm still pissed I can't find my seasonpass. Yet, when I'm at my cousin's house in New Orleans, I find hers randomly laying on the floor. I picked it up and put it in a safe place so she could perserve it. What puzzles me is why wasn't Mega Zeph in The Pontarchain section of the park instead of the Mardi Gras section? -Tatum
thrillerman1
I love seeing this type of stuff. Thanks for sharing! If there's one good thing that came out of my Miracle Strip visit before its demise, it was also getting to visit SFNO during the same trip back in 2004. A friend and I planned a trip down to MSAP for closing weekend and decided to do other "nearby" parks, so naturally we included SFNO. It was Labor Day weekend and little did we know then what was in store exactly a year later when Katrina decided to pay a little visit to the park. I'm really glad I got to check it out as I think the park had a lot of untapped potential.

montezooma
I like seeing the old "Jazzland" logo. This is such a strange amusement park story. I remember them talking about building this park right around the time that Ponchartrain Park closed. But they really had trouble raising the cash. For years I would see renderings at the IAAPA convention but nothing ever happened. Then all the sudden it was on, unfortunately it missed all their projections and that is why Six Flags got it for such a steel. I see that they are now starting to move more rides out and relocate them to other parks. *tap*tap* - that is the sounds of the final nail... PS- you made me proud! ebl
Thanks for sharing this stuff. I have old maps and brochures from Magic Mountain, Knott's, Disneyland, and Busch Gardens Los Angeles that I need to get scanned and posted somewhere. Hopefully Jazzland's successor will do well. Actually, it'd be SFNO's successor. Southern Star, right? Eric
astroworldfan1
^ Yes it is. I have no doubt SSA will bring the park back to its "world class theme park" days again. -Tatum
astroworldfan1
Hey guys! I've posted some new things from Jazzland. Things like a Seasonpass Holder's coupon book and a Bring a Friend ticket. I can't get over how cheep parking used to be. I can't remember if it was for the GP or just for Seasonpass holders, but parking was $5. Well, that was way back in 2000! Please, I want your comments! -Tatum I'm surprised I never used this coupon! For a couple of years, Ogden owned Jazzland. You could use season pass at other Ogden parks. Most of them are water parks. I don't know if Ogden still owns them. astroworldfan1
^ I love theme parks at night. That's when they begin to get fun. It's cool to see all of the lighting packages on rides. -Tatum
montezooma
^Plus when Jazzland first opened you wouldn't want to visit it during the day. There was practically no landscape and no shade. Nights were pleasant but day visits where unbearable.
thrillerman1
Here is my Mega Zeph magnet I snagged while I was at SFNO in 2004. Back side of the magnet. Made in China...score! Weee...down the drop. The train moves!
