I played the GHWT demo at my local Walmart and I thought it was pretty much GH3 with other instruments. The drums seem pretty good but you have to hit them really hard for it to read it, I heard there making a patch to fix it but i don't know when it comes out.

All you gotta do is send them an e-mail and they will send you a cable for you to hook your drums up to your computer with a program to change the sensitivity levels on the pads.

Ok, just got GHWT for Christmas on the Wii. I started playing and every now and then the blue would not register on my guitar. Its a brand new guitar. Has this happened to anyone? Is there a fix for it?

Just got GH:WT for Christmas up at my dad's. Since my Christmas consists of driving to four different places all around the state, I only got to play three songs with the new drums. They're definately a lot harder to get used to, but I like them a lot more. They feel a lot more realistic, and I definately didn't have to hit them any harder than my RB2 drums to get them to register. Overall, I'm excited to get back up to my dad's to play 'em again tonight.

I got GHWT for Christmas and its a lot better than I expected it to be. about the guitar problems have you taken the wii remote out and put it back in? That happened to me except with the strum bar and I took it out and put it back in and it works fine.

I bought the AC/DC track pack for RB today, I can tell the difference between RB1 and RB2's graphics. The AC/DC track pack is okay, the studio versions are different from the live versions. I like the studio versions of the songs better than the live versions.

RB2 has much better graphics.

My only complaint is set up and tour mode.

Set up, well, that just be my fault, It was confusing and It took me 30 minutes of frustrating to get them to sinkronize to my Xbox.

Tour mode, well, also confusing... Might be my fault also.

Aarrghh!

I got GHWT for christmas, but the drums are really annoying! Every time I hit the green pad (seeing as i'm a lefty too) hard, the blue pad registers aswell. Is this a sensitivity issue or something else? because its really affecting my percentages.

I bought RB2 aswell. Playing it with the GH guitar's is way more convenient as i don't need to buy another guitar. Imo RB2's hard mode is waaaaaay easier the GH's, but RB's store is fantastic! Loving the nirvana download pack!

So, any ideas on the drums issue?

thanks

Do a search on drum sensitivity. It's a known issue and they'll send you a cable to attach to your PC to fix it. For free.

I picked up RB over the weekend, and played RB2 at a buddy's house on Saturday. I like the download catalog, but I'm finding RB a bit too strict in hitting notes. I'm glad I picked it up, but I think I like GH, a bit better. It'd be a total win if they could get as many downloads up.

From this I understand that the GH guitars (and drums) are compatible with the RB game ? I saw the RB game during lunch and there some songs on it I really wanna play. But I don't feel like buying a RB guitar and drum while it would work as good on the GH equipment.

And fyi, my GT:WT drums are working perfectly. No problems at all.

On my 360, you can use GH instruments on RB. I posted a controller capability picture a few pages back that says what ones can be used on what system.

On the 360 note, I have to send it in to get fixed.

Guitar Hero - I really like the guitar. It makes playing so much easier with the buttons and the strum bar. Graphics are improved, the set list is fantastic! Customizing guitars is GREAT. I love the game.

Rock Band - Love it, love it, love it. I love the drums the most....maybe my guitar is broken, I'm not sure. Graphics are fantastic, and the world tour is so much fun!

Both I have for Wii, by the way.

Found it.

Forgot to mention I have GH:WT on Wii. Noticed on the charts that for WII it will not work.

If you downloaded the "Death Magnetic" album for Xbox and PS3, those ten songs will play in their entirety in the full game mode. PS2 and Wii versions (coming in the Spring, most likely in early May) will include "Broken Beat & Scarred," "Cyanide" and "My Apocalypse" since they are not compatible with the Death Magnetic downloadable content.

And here is some more news about the game:

January 15, 2009 - For those of you that have wanted to play Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets in Guitar Hero, but just haven't found a user created version that's suited your tastes, rest easy -- the upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica game has finally been scheduled to be released in stores. According to a post on Metallica.com, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will hit shelves on March 29, while Wii and PS2 versions will be released around early May. Europe will get the game in early May as well.

Guitar Hero: Metallica will let gamers play in either single instrument or band career modes through 28 Metallica songs. Along with the gameplay modes from Guitar Hero World Tour, there will be a new Expert+ setting for two bass drum kick pedals to test your drumming skills. Tracks from Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, Slayer, Machine Head and Queen, amongst other groups, will be included as well.

^Yeah I think I may lose my social life, my job, and probably my fingers to Master Of Puppets. Plus that Expert+ mode will be epic!

I know. Finally they figure out that you need a double bass setting for metal songs.

Now lets see a Guitar Hero: Slipknot with an Expert+ mode!

Double bass is the most epicly stupid drumming item ever created. Back in the day, I could kick out 16th notes on one foot.

I'd rather see them expand the drums to include a hit hat, then use the other pads for crash and ride.
