P. 177: 2025 park enhancements announced!

Recommended Posts

WOFanatic, yes you did. Is there a delay when posting? Do the moderators screen messages first before releasing? Sorry, for the misunderstanding.

Anyhoo, whenever comments are made on Cedar Fair properties WOF, Dorney, and Valleyfair seem to get lumped together. So what your saying Phantomposter32 is that Valleyfair and Dorney are landlocked. WOF and KBF are not as far as footprint land size footprint?

One last item. Would anyone recommend SFNE since it looks to be the closest to my new duty station. The rides look awesome. Lake Compounce, and maybe some smaller parks. Suggestions?

You would have better luck posting that question in the SFNE forum rather than the WOF forum as the locals of that park will visit that forum far more often than this one. I hope you find what you are looking for

Looking forward to the announcement. Any guesses on where the rides will go in the park?

I'm guessing that the Condor will be located where Thunderhawk was formerly, so that guests can see it from the road as they enter the park. Speaking of which, a park, especially at WOF's size attendance-wise having three tower rides is pretty impressive (four if you count Detonator as two).

I don't know where the Troika will go. I have a feeling that it will be located where Krazy Kars was located, but the space may be too small. The orange flags definitely point me towards that area, though.

^Condor's are fine with motion sickness as long as height doesn't bother you. It's like a tame scrambler with tilting to offset the positive gs as long as the mix with height doesn't contribute to your motion sickness. Great classic ride.

I visited the park this past Friday and was very impressed! A few hiccups but a great park overall. Average ops that caused some frustrations but surprisingly classic feel with a lot to do. Prowler was amazing especially at night. Kings Island has nothing to worry about with their new GCI. I'll work on a trip report soon!

Always great to hear good things about the park. Prowler at night is a lot of fun!!

I'm not too familiar with Worlds of Fun, but haven't been they rumored to get a Premier launched coaster for a couple of years now? Could that be one of the four additions?

That was mostly rumored for 2018, I don't think it is very likely to come for 2017, but anything is possible

The trees at the bottom are definitely throwing me off. It definitely looks like it is teasing a launch coaster. They're not blurred out, they are clearly blurred in one direction, simulating speed. I don't see them hinting towards a troika or a condor. I'm probably looking too far into this, but it just seems odd to hint at something speedy when talking about used flat rides.

I always keep think of what the director of operations said earlier in the season when asked how many coasters the park has.

"We've got six roller coasters, but we are always looking to expand about that. We love roller coasters just like everybody else does. So we're always looking to get out next new roller coaster here."

I don't know. Again, I'm probably looking too far into nothing.

I noticed the clouds are blurred, but where are the trees? I may be not seeing them also because the bottom of the picture on the last page was cut off.

If it IS a waterslide over at OOF as well, then I would imagine DiamondHead is being removed.

Agreed. What kind of slide would go in there though? It would probably have to be a few of the same type of slide with a new layout, or maybe a tornado-type slide?
