Well they finally have a PR person. He's doing a great job and has really embraced the different forms of social media fads. The additions you mentioned were when Rachael was "PR" - talk about a moron. If it wasn't for Hollye I'm not sure a release would've even been put out to the press.

Does Fast Lane allow you to pick your row on every coaster? Also, does it merge with the station queue where you still wait a few cycles?

 

Yes, Fast Lane gets you to the station (bypasses the queue lines), where you then can choose your row.

I think you'll really enjoy it. I bought these 2 t-shirts the last time I was there. The Zambezi Zinger was the first rollercoaster I ever rode, the Orient Express was my first upside down coaster the year it was built.

 

 

I'd love to have the OE shirt! I miss that coaster! ZZ had already been removed before I ever visited the park.

Although I am very excited about the news conference tommorow....it may be in WOF best interest to delay. The tragic loss of life at Schlitterbahn today needs some time in respect for the family IMHO. Especially since the incident is local and related to the industry.

I absolutely loved Zambezi Zinger. It was my first "big coaster". I have to fill that void by riding Whizzer at SFGAm as often as I can now.

 

Ready for the announcement next week. Strangely there is no new activity on KIVA yet. You'd think they would be filing construction paperwork by now.

I absolutely loved Zambezi Zinger. It was my first "big coaster". I have to fill that void by riding Whizzer at SFGAm as often as I can now.

Totally agree. Zambezi Zinger was a very fun ride that really didn't need to be removed. I remember riding it for the first time in 1996, along with Timber Wolf. I was so afraid of both of them back then, but I'm very glad I got to experience it before it was removed. Boomerang is in no way a replacement.

Boomerang was a necessary evil. When the Orient Express derailed and then had to finally be removed (due to extreme stress fractures) it left the park without a looping coaster. So what was supposed to be a "mad mouse style" coaster was changed to a Boomerang to fill that void.

WOF waited till October to file the KIVA permits last year for planet snoopy. I believe that is why construction started to progress in January. I'm sure they have to workout something before they announce an addition.

Very true and observant of you. However it still doesn't change the narrative. When OE derailed it left the park without a looping coaster. It was then that the decision was made to go with a Boomerang instead of a mouse coaster. I'm sorry if my wording made it sound like Boomerang was added after OE was removed, that was not my intent.

^ I see what you mean, but that isn't typically the CF norm. Other than the Windseekers and Dinasaurs Alive I cant really remember any additions going into several CF parks in the same season.

I'm more confused about why KD didn't decide to announce their 2017 addition on the 18th.

Because this isn't Six Flags and Kings Dominion doesn't have to follow what every other park is doing.

I could see maybe categorizing VF and DP as small "land size" parks but not KD and WOF
