A.J.
This may be better in a PM, but a few weeks ago I submitted my trip report from Knoebels for the Park Index and it hasn't shown up yet. Â http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/suggest.php <-- This URL is still the one to use, right? Just making sure.
larrygator
AJ - sorry but not every PTR that is submitted can be included. It's a judgment call on my part and I admittedly have no taste. For parks that already have a variety of PTRs, I have to be more discriminating. Now that we have so many participants creating photo trip reports I'll try to add one worthy PTR per year for each popular park, but sometimes I wait til the season is over. I haven't deleted yours out of the submission queue, so the good news is I didn't think it sucked. Just need to see what else gets submitted especially after TPR was visiting the park as a group. I hope that makes sense. Â Of course any PTRs containing superior photos or entertaining captions and a variety of pictures including multiple rides and areas (Not just one or two rides/attractions) are always valued. Attention has been given to every previously submitted Photo TR. Don't feel discouraged if we can't include every one.

robbalvey
Just fixed a small glitch in the system that was reporting rankings of some parks either higher/lower than they were supposed to be. Glad I caught that!
chadster
I have found the park index to be highly valuable in trip planning. I look for it to be the premier place for people to come to to aide them in trip planning (yes, TPR members already know this, I am referring to the casual theme park guest)
robbalvey
Thanks Chad - it's still ever-evolving, and we're fixing little things here and there. I love that Larry really is striving to include almost EVERY RIDE and attraction at each park! It's absolutely insane, but completely awesome as well! larrygator
Speaking of which I'll be looking for Bowcraft pictures for those who did the bonus park before the NE Trip. I didn't have many flat ride photos from the park.
Moose
It's also extremely valuable to an enthusiast. This year I have been to several parks I have never been to before and used the TPR rankings and suggestions on time in the park to guide my planning. It's an awesome addition that will only continue to grow in usefulness as more and more reviews are added. Â Thanks Robb, Elissa, and TPR!

chadster
Larry/Robb: Â I know that the submit to park index button in the forum is new and probably not the way you want it just yet, but, you know me I got all click happy! I'm attaching a screen shot of what it's doing to me in IE9, it works fine in Opera. I noticed when the pop up box comes up that it displays every picture I have posted to my trip thread and not just what was in the post where I clicked the button. Not sure if this is by design or work in progress. What I actually thought it would do was give the option to send the link of that post to the park index, but the picture option was a pleasant surprise and looks like it will be nice and easy to use! Â Like I said, I know it's new so don't beat me too bad
robbalvey
^ It's still in the works...which means it kind of doesn't work right now. Give us a few days and it should be ready! Â Will make it MUCH MUCH easier to submit a trip report to the park index!

larrygator
A quick update and thank you.  Member Reviews We are up to 760 Park reviews which is great, thanks for all the input. I had to delete only about 2 dozen really poor ones. The ratings are subjective and may be subject to home park bias. We know that and that's why we encourage everyone to contribute to level out any bias. We need people to continue putting put a little context around your rating. Therefore, no matter what the rating one sentence reviews such as: "This park is da bomb" or "Blow up the park" will be deleted. This is not censorship it is promoting quality over quantity  Submit to Park Index Link Please use this only to suggest PTRs for the Park Index at this time. Remember we only include a few select ones in the Park Index. Some of the recent ones suggested have been added, some are sitting in the queue waiting for me to analyze versus existing PTRs and some of the submissions were wretched. Seriously, if you have a weak PTR with poor quality photos please don't submit. To understand what we include in the Park Index you can simply review what is already in there. We give a little more latitude for less visited parks.  Ride Photos If you are ever perusing the Park Index and see: 1 - bad links to photos 2 - the quality of the coaster photos that is below standard 3 - rides with old names (renamed) You can let me know of those issues in this thread, via PM or by sending an e-mail to larrygator@themeparkreview.com  Park Guides These serve as a rudimentary planning tool for those interested in visiting a park they may not be familiar with. These exist for 70 of the most largest and popular parks. It is unlikely that the total number of these will ever exceed 100, but who knows what the future holds. If you notice any inaccuracies in the Park Guides please let me know  TPR Notes These are meant to be a topline overview to the park with an unbiased rating of various categories These now exist for almost 170 parks, with the potential of getting close to 200 by the end of 2011. chadster
This new submission tool is crazy easy, so easy that not only a cave man can do it (*cough* jeff* cough*) but that I got carried away and double dipped on two previously submitted items. Must.refrain.from.submission.addiction. Â **edit** Robbalvey is showing as the top attraction for Bowcraft. I checked, I have no ride sign for that ride, Elissa, on the other hand, might
larrygator
This new submission tool is crazy easy, so easy that not only a cave man can do it (*cough* jeff* cough*) Â Funny that you say that because on my end I see that 90% of the sumissions are people NOT understanding the function and clicking on random posts. Â Surprisingly, you have been one the of people that does understand it. Â And even more good news, as we will pass 15 million page views in the Page Index sometime in the next couple of hours.
