I have one of those iHome setups where I hook up my iPod to my alarm clock, and it plays a random song from it when it's time to get up.

I hear a song playing so it's time to get up! Oddly, I didn't feel too sleepy, I felt like I had gotten a good night's sleep. I got dressed for school, and as I was putting on my shoes, I noticed the clock said:

12:30 A.M.

I get up at 6:30 A.M. I thought maybe the power had gone off and had reset my clock but I checked my phone.... 12:30 A.M.

I have no idea what happened, but something on the T.V. sounded like a song that was on my iPod. But whatever the reason, I'm dressed and ready to go to school, and it's 12:30 in the morning...

But, hey, on the bright side, I had 5 1/2 more hours to sleep, which was great.

Waaayyy back in the '70s when I was about 16, I awoke suddenly and noticed that it was 2:00. The next day, we were supposed to be meeting at the church to leave for a weeklong retreat, and I got panicked because we were meeting at 2:00.

I remember saying, "Hey! We have to get going!" My dad just looked at me like, "Are you nuts?" but all he said was, "It's 2 in the morning."

Talk about fooling feelish...

This happened to me!

I got Up, thinking that my alarm clock went off, then went to take a shower. My dad knocks on the door while I was taking a shower and says "What are you doing?!?!"

I told him that I was getting ready for school, like I always do.

He gave me a stupid look then started laughing, saying "it's 1:00 am!"

Then there was the time I got up, got dressed, and drove to the office---only to find an empty parking lot.

Right then it hit me---it was Saturday.

I love when stuff like this happens, because you realize you get to go back to bed for a while. It's also fun the next day to realize how dumb your half asleep mind can be. I've woken up before, seen my clock saying 6:30AM (Time to get up), and literally just thought to myself, "No, my clock is lying." I didn't just think my clock was wrong, I thought it was lying to me. Then I realized it tells me the correct time, and I had to get up. I love sleepthinking.

Wow, this happened to me last month! I woke up at 1:30 but for some reason it felt like my normal wake up time of 6:15. I had gotten all the way to the restroom and had turned the shower on when i saw a clock and was like, WTF?! I then returned to my bed and went back to sleep. I hated myself for that too as leading up to that I had been very sleep deprived from a busy school schedule.

That happened to me back in high school.

I woke up, looked at the clock, and thought it said 8am. Thinking I was late for school I jumped up and started getting ready. I was just finishing getting dressed when I noticed it was still dark out. Took another look at the clock and realized it was 6am.

Didn't even bother getting changed again, just crawled back into bed and fell asleep.

There was one time where I woke up to find that is was 7:20 A.M. I have to be at the bus stop in five minutes! So I rush to get dressed then I remembered it was spring break.

okay, I used to have a sleepwalking issue when I was around 8 years old, so sit down, this could take a while.

-I woke up, and sleepwalked all the way down the stairs, set off the burglar alarm, and sleep-threw a bowl of fruit at it

-I woke up, and sleep peed in the trashcan.

-I woke up, and sleepwalked into the wall, and fell asleep on the floor.

and my favorite...

-I woke up, sleepwalked to the bathtub, and turned it on. my dad woke up, realized I was asleep, and woke me up. he asked me what I was doing, and after a long silence I say, "it's tubby time"

Oh yeah, that's happened to me.

Power was off for a while, and re-booted back up sometime during the night. Alarm goes off around 3:00am, I have a hard time getting up in the morning, so I have my radio alarm up really loud. And wouldn't you know it, my favorite disco song was on. Bee Gee's - Stayin' Alive!

Man, I woke up, started getting dressed, while dancing at the same time. When I just about finished getting dressed, my mother comes in and starts yelling.

"What the ... is wrong with you. It's 3 in the morning!!"

I glanced at the clock and noticed it was about 3:03am. Thinking to myself... What an awesome song!

Went back to bed, but then woke up on the correct time to Beasty Boys, man, that ruined the rest of my day.

OMG on several occasions, i don't really have a sleep cycle from staying up late all the time growing up. Sometimes i'd wake up at 6AM thinking it was 6PM saying Holy Crap!

Then there was the time I got up, got dressed, and drove to the office---only to find an empty parking lot.

Right then it hit me---it was Saturday.

In Disney World, I looked at my watch and thought it said 10:00 but it said 01:00. I thought we had missed the ERT! I woke everyone in our room up and told them to hurry. I was then told it what time it really was, and got a few slaps from my brother :/ I fail at telling time

During high school, I typically did my homework sitting on my bed. One day I feel asleep while doing my homework. I woke up and saw that my clock said 5:30. My first thought was that it was morning, and that I woke up before my alarm clock went off (that happens a lot). Yet, when I looked out the window, I couldn't understand why the sun was up so early. Of course, looking around, there was my homework on my bed and I was still fully clothed. It still took me a while before I finally realized that it was the same day and I had fallen asleep while doing my homework.

My dad 'sleepthinks' quite a bit, where you wake up, and you are still half asleep and you think stupid things. Anyway he came into my room, and told me that I had to get up, it was 7am. He went back to sleep as he didn't need to get up. So I got dressed, cleaned and had my breakfast. I looked out of my window and thought that the sun looked really low and everything looked 'gold'. I thought that it was just a beautiful day. Then I realised that there was nobody outside, but I just went on with my routine. I started thinking about the scene in 28 days later, where he wakes up and nobody is there. After finishing breakfast, I looked at the clock, and it said '5:40'. So I just laughed at myself. I felt really awake, and I was dressed, and we were going on a trip into Newcastle (Nearest big city) to collect data for geography, and I knew we were going to have a good day. So I just went on my computer for another hour. When my dad woke up again, apparently he looked at his watch and thought it pointed to 7:00 but it was really '5:20'.

Fun times

Also, when I was on a skiing holiday, we had the PE teachers 9 year old son staying in our room. We came back from the pub, and got settled in our room. He had been asleep while we were out. Anyway, he started doing pushups in his sleep! I thought that was quite funny seeing as though he was the PE teachers son. And every morning, he would wake up and say something REALLY random, like explaining why the sky is blue and stuff.

A few friends and I were talking about all of this stuff the other day in Physics, and I was reminded of something hilarious that I've done many times. When it's time to get up but you're still half asleep, do you think about random completely crazy excuses as to why you can't get up yet? My friend's examples were things like "I have to wait for the penguin to take out the trash" or "The dinosaur isn't out of the shower yet", and I laughed so hard because I've come up with stuff just like that in my mind, only to realize what you're actually thinking.

The other morning, I was semi dreaming that I was talking to my brother on the phone, but my eyes were sort of open so I saw myself laying in my bed and stuff. I was on my side holding my hand (with imaginary phone) up to my ear, and my alarm clock went off. I said out loud, "I gotta go", and just kind of dropped my hand to the side and got up to turn my alarm off.

My roommate got me good twice. The first time it was April Fools day, and of course he changed all the clocks our apartment.

The second time, it was a Saturday and I woke me up at 8:00(I had to get to class normally at 8:05). So I get dressed quick I once I get to CSUS, I hear the radio say it was Saturday.

I'm an insomniac but one time I went to bed at about 2 ( same as usual) and accidentally woke up at four because my alarm went off. I took a shower and got grounded because I thought it was seven
