RCoasterny
No, it's not the Flying Turns... Knoebels will be adding a Chance Wipeout to hold us over while they work the kinks out on Flying Turns. So, they're officially announcing the Wipeout as the new ride for 2008! http://www.knoebels.com/whats-new.asp It appears to be a last minute addition because there's no price set for the ride and it's not on the map yet. thrillerman1
Awesome. If it's anything like WOF's, it'll be an airtime machine.

Maybe i could go there on this summer but i don't know and wait til i have saving my money. I guess the chance wipeout was take from Six Flags New Orleans or Geauga Lake? astroworldfan1
^ If it is either from SFNO or Geauga, I'd would go with Geauga. SFNO's hasn't operated in 3 years. I've ridden Wipouts, there a lot of fun! -Tatum
Jim S.
On another board, someone said Geauga's was still for sale, so they don't know where Knoebels is getting theirs. Does anyone know where it's going to go? The only open space I can think of is between Fandango and the campground road, where they still have some lumber left over from Flying Turns stored. kidcoaster 2
It is not Geauga Lakes as Geauga's has a starfish theme. Geauga Lake's Starfish
Rideslover
Wipeout with the starfish theming? I rode the Starfish at Six Flags Marine World in 1999 and 2000. That is very sad about two time accident with child fall from the Starfish. They ride has shut down before removed in 2002 and take shipped to Six Flags Ohio (Geauga Lake) to opened in 2003. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk used to had the Wipeout from 1991-1995 to removed and make room for Chaos 1996 to operate until 2002 to removed and make big room for the Fireball and open in 2003 Only one wipeout is now operating at Knott's Berry Farm. Other one wipeout is the traveling carnival with the Midway of Fun at Oroville, California. I hope Knoebels can join to the Norton Auctioneers on June 17 and 18, 2008 at the Geauga Lake. If you want to join for the Norton Auctioneers and lets take a walk to look around the Geauga Lake? Please won a starfish for Knoebels You are right SFNO haven't operated for three years ago from flooded by Katrina and they now abandoned as just rust everything. Absimilliard
Six Flags installed a Wipeout at Six Flags Belgium (now Walibi Belgium) in 2001, so that would make 2 permanent Wipeout yet... Anyone know why they dissapeared so fast?
coasterbill
Playland in Rye has a Wipeout and they have for some time now.

dj snow
I don't have any inside information, but it is possible that Knoebels might be buying this ride new. They are still available from the manufacturer, after all.
Rideslover
Neverland Ranch used to had the Wipeout but they removed to make room for the Wave Swinger. Wipeout isn't safe for young children take on ride alone or without adult. Casino or Trabant is great for kids can seat without slide off the seat and fell down as just like Six Flags Marine World as Starfish.
ghost007jas
I've been on a couple wipeouts and they're some of the greatest flat rides out there. One of the few rides on which I have feared for my life. I did the one at Marine World, Knott's and The Santa Cruz Boardwalk I believe.. so that would make three.
