Nice Mr. Moose!!

I figure I will be at Lake Compounce at opening hopefully and then spend most of the day and then head to Quassy late afternoon or evening.

I have not done the least bit of studying for it yet though, so I have no idea how long it will take me to get there, when the parks are open, or how far they are away from each other.

Will do that soon and keep in touch with you.

^^ 95% of nice sups is kinda high! lol at least where I work.

Hope you don't get rained on.

^^^ I have the thrill of actually hitting 2 John's Pizza places

Thanks for the tip on the waterpark, could come in handy.

No way I would eat a peanut butter pizza!

Plus, I never have high expectations of these coasters, just the thrill to check it off my list!

Peace, Big Mike

Team Thriller - How is Johns Incredible Pizza? Am I going to like the pizza or coaster better?

Peace, Big Mike

The pizza is good, but I simply can't say it's better than a coaster.

Rich and I will be at LC on Saturday. We're the ones who got married on Boulder Dash 2 years ago. We never miss opening weekend at The Lake!

Posted

Sue, that is so awesome!

Was there a trip report or pictures of the wedding here on TPR? I would like to check it out!

I hope to see you on Saturday. I will be wearing The Official Big Mike Road Show 2008 T-Shirt.

Shane, I will try to take care of your request my friend!

Peace, Big Mike

^Hey, did you check out the Naked Cowgirl, she seems to come out at night?

I've got a photo somewhere, I'll have to see if I can dig it out.

Edit: I dug it out

Hmm, never saw the Naked Cowgirl before, or even heard of her lol.

I will have to be more alert next time and investigate

^I took that photo in August 2005, so maybe she isn't around anymore, she seemed like a cheap rip-off of the Naked Cowboy.

OK Everybody,

After checking all the info out, here is what I found out:

Saturday May 10th:

Lake Compounce open 11am - 8pm.

Quassy amusement park open noon - 6pm.

The ride is 2 1/2 hours from Big Mike Productions World Headquarters.

The weather is partly cloudy with a high of 64 degrees.

I pass Rye Playland on the way, which I need the kid coaster but the max height limit is 55 inches. Probably no way to ever get it now.

So I think it is safe to say that this week's Big Mike Road Show 2008 excursion will bring us to Lake Compounce in CT at opening at 11am!

This will be the 7th different state that The Big Mike Road Show 2008 has visited in less than 2 months, plus a side trip to Mexico!

I plan to spend the day there, drinking all the free soda they are giving out, ride Boulder Dash a whole bunch of times, check out the park at a leisurely pace this time, make sure I get my outstanding credit called the Kiddie Coaster which I passed on last visit before I became the credit whore that I am today lol. I also plan to take a lot of pictures and get a lot of info for my Big Mike readers, and hopefully meet up with "Sue" and "Moose" from TPR and hopefully a few others!!

I plan on leaving at about 3:30 to 4pm to drive over to Quassy Amusement Park and collect 2 more coaster credits!! I think I can get that park done in about an hour? Anyone know the park and agree or disagree with me?

This trip will complete the state of Connecticut 100% coaster wise!

Closing at 6pm, I could either head back to Lake Compounce or head over to Rye Playland on my way back home.

Still looking for coupon advice or discounts for Lake Compounce!

Hope to see some new friends this Saturday!!

Peace, Big Mike

Hey Big Mike! Just noticed now you have Centreville in Toronto on your trip list. Unless you count powered coasters (Dragon Wagon) then you can save yourself the trip. It's a pretty neat little park, but no credit.

Posted

I figure if I have a coaster count, and a ride is a powered coaster, then being it is a coaster, it should count!

I never understood why it wouldn't?

That explains the trip there

Peace, Big Mike

^ Sound logic. I will count a powered coaster if I feel it's substantial enough. Example, Thunder Run at Canadas Wonderland. Just wanted to warn you in case you weren't aware, that's all.

As always, thanks for any input at all!

I love that people are looking out for Big Mike!!!

You all rock!

THIS Saturday? THIS? Well sh1t. I thought it was next Friday or Saturday. This Saturday I am booked solid with a 1st and 40th Birthday party.

I would rather credit wh0re, but alas, I cannot meet up with the roadtrip in CT.

But we'll always have Paris.

As far as powered coasters... I only have ridden two so it doesn't really matter all that much. (damn you Tren Bravo for hiding from us) I always tend towards thinking they should count. I am pretty sure they change speed due to changes in potential energy (aka drops) so it seems like it acts like a coaster. Also is an impulse really all that different? It gets numerous bursts of power from the lims, which seems pretty similar to me.

Darn Mr. Moosey, I was looking forward to seeing you

Paris it is then, unless I visit SFNE or the parks up by you before then!

See you soon buddy!

Dear Bike Mike,

I'm pretty sure that this is my most favorite thread that I have EVER read on ANY site!

Keep up the great work, and definitely keep posting pics of hot babes!

I'm truly jealous of your travels.

Take care, and safe travels!

Go go go go BIG MIKE! OMG you are going to be soo tired at the end of your trek!

I am in one of those moods to where I would like to hop on a plane and get the F out of this town! LOL.... Oh my.. that was a little "heated!"

Anyway have fun... you never know I might have a small break down and might be seeing you soon! ;0)

Jaime!

Sounds like you need a little getaway!

I always say there is nothing like a roller coaster to take your worries and stress away for a little while

Tell Bubba it is time for a road trip of your own!!

Hey Gary, I am leaning to putting off Kings Dominion for a little bit now that I went there already. I think there is a special event there later in the year, I will have to check when it is again. I will keep in touch and give you advance notice for your boss, hopefully

Sounds good to me. Thanks for the info and advance warning. Hope to catch you at KD this summer.
