verticalzero Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 If the Parks said "Yes" to helping to preserve their coasters, what coaster would you donate money towards so it can be looked after to work in prim working condition, or give money to a society which can help save a SBNO coaster...? TPR should start a scheme so a coaster is looked after or saved like the "Big Dipper" at GL..
SharkTums Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I'd rather put my money towards a really good new Intamin Woodie then saving a mediocre old one.
coaster05 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I'd rather pay my bills on time so I could vacation to see more coasters, hence giving the parks more money, in theory saving said coaster.
ginzo Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Not to mention that any funds raised would be insignificant in the face of issues like Geauga Lake no longer being economically viable as a rides park.
BeemerBoy Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 If every old coaster was saved, then there'd be nothing for the ACE museum.
65skylark Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Wait, there is an ACE museum? I know where I'm going in '08!!!
Meteornotes Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 ^You're being very optimistic there. dt
mcjaco Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Perhaps they'll find a China Buffet that will let them use a booth or two?
TheRapidsNerd Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 While it wasn't the best park and management/owners were awful, If it could've saved Opryland, I gladly would've donated.
