spaceace12
lazy rivers used to be one of my things to do. Then I lost my chicken status and started riding the slides and stuff. I can't wait to try the torrent river at Schlitterbahn sometime though. I wish Bahari "in action" river was something like it.
Meteornotes
Wow, that's lame about the lazy river. I remember many years ago that they let us stay on the river for as long as we liked. I think we stayed in our tubes for about an hour. Â All the ones I've been on have had one entrance/exit point. I'm guessing the ones in FL are not like that? I've never been to a FL water park. I'd still like to do the WDW ones some day. Â dt
SharkTums
Yeah in Florida the Disney ones, Busch ones and Wet n Wild have several entrances and exits and you don't have to wait in line, or be in a tube or anything.
FLIPDUDE
very very very awsome TR, Will, cant wait to see more! Â I tried to figure out how to do long exposure on ym cam. couldnt figure it out. Â Â Â as for getitng puked on on the rock o planes... dont worry, i think that was just me.
WillMontu
^ Many Point and Shoot cameras can do somewhat long exposures by simply switching the flash off. If you camera has a manual mode, it's even better, as you can adjust how long the camera should expose and such. I took most of my long exposures using my camera's manual mode by using the lowest possible ISO (the "sensitivity" of the light sensor), the largest f-number (smallest "opening" in the lenses), and a very slow shutter speed. WillMontu
Day 2 started out at Kentucky Kingdom They had the pink side open around 20 minutes before we had to leave, so few us got the credit The trains are themed to cars The first "dueling" element is on the lift Unlike other dueling coasters, the trains dispatch in opposite directions Shortly before leaving, they started testing the other side of TS It is unlikely that it will reopen, at least not at KK It had closed due to a recent accident Superman was the park's Intamin drop tower Remnants of before the Six Flags era? The only one on the trip that didn't spin The last credit to get was the wild mouse I don't think any of us tried this one I'm sure they're probably road-worthy, though probably not legally The antique cars (with their "cow theming") were built by Arrow in 1990. Almost ...and of course, food ...free drinks... ...a view of a Schwarzkopf coaster... ...a TPR sign... We got light up buttons... It isn't a TPR even without food Bugs was jealous again and they started to fight Daffy is in love Bugs was jealous of Daffy getting all the attention This is more like it This looks somewhat normal Apparently this Ferris wheel was made by Vekoma The waterpark filled up quickly Not quite as cheap as Holiday World, but it is Coke Good so see a classic Schwarzkopf kept in good condition Hi Joe, remember this ride? We also had ERT on Deluge (the large slide on the right). Easily one of the best waterpark rides I've been on with some nice ejector airtime. KK is built right by an airport This is how you re-align your back after riding in the G trains They only had one side of Twisted Twins running in the morning. Ow! Ow! Ow! Ouch! One ride was enough for me! Of course, you would have bashed your head so much that college won't do you much good TPR peeps enjoying T2 Who's ready for PAIN? You could buy a couple of De Loreans for that much money! The station looks pretty, though it's still an SLC and could use a new paint job. T2 is the first SLC in the US and the second in the world! The inclined loop is something that seems to be only on stand-ups I haven't seen many B&M coasters that go straight onto the lift out of the station. Many will have a small dip, turn, or some other element. We had ERT on Chang, Twisted Sisters, Deluge, and Thunder Run. Unfortunately, Thunder Run was down, so they opened up the SLC and Greased Lightning for us. SFKK was surprisingly hospitable to us. Just look at the paparazzi. Looks like a used coaster or something The back entrance to Kentucky Kingdom The park's skyline is dominated by Chang, the second largest B&M standup This one's the most unique of them all. It looks a bit like Erik's van There were a lot of hot-rods in the area due to some convention of some kind Leave it to the Vekoma bus to get us lost again! WillMontu
Day 2, part 2: Beech Bend After Kentucky Kingdom, we headed for Beech Bend There was hand slapping, pounding it, and more This picture came out fairly well, considering it was quite dark out there Coaster trains are legally required to have headlights at night The park management was cool with us taking pictures/video on the rides Time for Rumbler ERT Battle wound Casey managed to squeeze into the PDM. He ended up using two seats Did Terry get this credit? It's one of those old style "Pretzel" type rides Ooh, scary! Pull up your pants, Robb! The Kiddie Whip They had a "Short Bus" ride Another shot of Looping Star Though there's nothing white about the water White Water Express is the park's log flume Rumbler was our main reason for being here The wheel assembly is slightly unusual. While Vekoma likes to leave a gap between the track and the side friction wheels, Pinfari leaves the side friction wheels out altogether. I've ridden worse Looping Star is the park's Pinfari Death Machine Credit whores on the Dragon Wagon This is more like it! It was the first of four spinning mice on the trip Wild Mouse is one of the newer rides Getting tickets Besides Rumbler, the park is one of those "rides on concrete" type parks, but over the years, I'm sure it will expand with more rides and more permanent fixtures. Kentucky Rumbler IS the park's skyline It's one of those "in the middle of nowhere" type parks
bpbbabe99
Yess!! You got the piccy of the bugs n Daffy fight, proper action shot I coudn't stop laughing when they started at each other!! I also didn't know that the pink train on Twsited Twins opened up too gutted!!
FLIPDUDE
awsome TR, keep it up! Â You can really see how good of a mood I was in after having broken my camera. I got that "Yeah, whatever, let's just get this over with" look on my face.
methos
Good pictures Will, love rumbler with the headlights on. Casey in the death machine, I had a lil discomfort in the very restricive and tight trains it must have been murder on him.
WillMontu
I did shoot a little bit of video on this trip. Although my video camera died on me sometime between Beech Bend and Indiana Beach, I did have a little bit of footage from the parks hit before then. Here is a short video I whipped together of TPR riding the SLC at Kentucky Kingdom. Â Yes, those are screams of pain! Â Also, I have around 160 pictures of Indiana Beach and 75 pictures from Little Amerrica ready to post. I would prefer to start these on a new page if possible t2.zip "Ow!" "Owwww!" "Ow!" "Owww!" "I'm never having kids!" t2.wmv Streaming version for those who have trouble with downloads

WillMontu
This Photo TR hasn't quite died yet, I have ~160 pictures from Indiana Beach, so I will be posting this in parts The park has a "designed in RCT" feel to it The fact that Robb can get us to form a straight line is quite shocking The park charges for admission, which is less than the cost of parking for most other parks I wasn't sure what to expect from this park. I've heard of it being called America's version of Blackpool Pleasure Beach Indiana Beach is one of those "grass parking lot" parks There's more than Corn in Indiana, like Raven...and this IB billboard We must be in Indiana Arrow Bus, on the other hand, had White Castle AND South Park Vekoma Bus, on the other hand, went to McDonalds in SouthPark For those creepy crawly fanatics out there, we found this little guy outside WC We've probably kept this restaurant in business for a bit longer Gator colors! A little unstable Build a castle? What to do with all those boxes They even have "ACEr Meals" Some us have cravings Time for a complete takeover It even looks like a castle "Arrow Bus goes to White Castle" Our next park is across the Ohio river, which isn't even in Ohio
WillMontu
Indiana Beach continued, part 1 The first ride we went on was the "Bouncy Bouncy Bridge" It looks just like RCT Can playing Fascination save you money on car insurance? Â To be continued Some of the prizes that can be won If you ever lose Elissa at Indiana Beach, you can find her here, until she runs out of money The goal is to roll balls into holes to light up the back panel. Five in a row wins. The game can be competitive with a large group of people Fascination is an old parlor game that is slowing dying out. The game used to operate at Cedar Point and Geauga Lake (removed for trash cans), Holiday World, Beech Bend, HersheyPark, Kennywood, and Canobie Lake Pound it dude! This what the lines were like for both the woodies Time to take over the Hurricane Here in Florida, A/C isn't a luxury, it's a requirement It does have credits for Terrance though Frankenstein's Castle was an upcharge, I doubt it would even come close to the attraction at Liseberg "Take me back to the Rainbow, that Rainbow kind of magic, Rainbow Rainbow Rainbow's End. Great fuuuuuuun aaaattt, Rainbow's End!" We did not have a chance to visit the waterpark IB sure loves their signs Next up was LoCoSuMo Instead of sailing the seven seas, they zip round on Waverunners If you're ever in Indiana, make sure you get over to Indiana Beach to watch the "Pirate Show" The Den of Lost Thieves is one of those old school dark rides, but converted into a shooting ride Judging by the style of track, this ride looks like a Pinfari Galaxi is built partially over water Another strange sign The coasters are built on top of everything Next up: Hurricane There's even a log flume intertwined with the woodies More RCT-like pathways Cornball Express entering the station This helix reminds me of stuff I've done in RCT A lot of track in a tight space Going up (permission was obtained to take this shot) It's a fun ride with quick drops and sharp turns Tiger is an old school Schwarzkopf It's intermingled with Hurricane's structure Cornball Express is the better of the two big woodies This was my first Flying Scooters credit, and Robb says they are almost as good as the ones at Carowinds, though IB discourages snapping, so I didn't attempt to try. Hoosier Hurricane dominates the park's skyline The wave swinger is built completely over water...just like Infusion Watching Casey getting onto anything can be entertaining WTF? Some of the boat shows Lines for nearly everything were relatively short, except this one They have a lot of rides over water. BPB, on the other hand, just has Infusion aka. Traumatizer They've managed to shoehorn in a Skycoaster, a waterpark, a chairlift, and more

FLIPDUDE
Oh man, dude, this has got to be one of my favourite updates of any TRs to date! You captured the park so well, bothin your pictures and your descriptions! I also like that the TR was long as opposed to some "five photo TRs" out there. Very good job! Â If you have some extra time on your hands I'd love it if you could send me unuploaded IB pics? Its my favourite park on the trip but since my camera was broken I didn't get no pictures in it. WillMontu
Indiana Beach continued  Next up: 75 pictures from Little Amerricka It has more airtime than Hurricane. We had some Cornball Express ERT Duct tape holds the other coasters together too We were going to have ERT on LoCoSuMo but they were having some technical problems The park at night Nice idea, but it doesn't work too well Look at the little guys go Elissa spent all her Fascination tokens on little pull-back bugs, and a poker set Robb and KidTums pounding it (with the claw grabbing at Robb's backside) ...in more than one way ...cheat at Fascination... ...annoy Elissa... You can use them to get credits You can win a set of pinchers Gameplay is like bingo. The center space is also free Some of the prizes you can win. No meat slicer though The top row of lights are red, if you light them all you get an extra bonus. Not Ryan here though Winner! We had enough people to do a complete takeover Back to Fascination for a few more games Making a sandwich "I surrender" KC! Tkl Ryn! There are some people out there who STILL play DDR ...and the after shot Whoosh! Here's the before shot Welcome to the Space Shot! "He's wearing a ketchup shirt. Why isn't this dude pounding it with me?" Wouldn't that be a better name for a toilet bowl slide? The bumper cars aka. dodgems Wes returned from the emergency room. Didn't he realize that you're not supposed to die until AFTER riding Son of Beast? I like the sandbox theming You can only hold up other drivers in Florida Oh no! Robb's driving A lot of parks have vintage car rides. Did I mention that they are in RCT too? She's getting a lot of attention But it turned out to just be KT's fanboys We've got a lot of paparazzi Handslapping on the train ride View from the train ride. LoCoSuMo used to be a dark ride until they transformed it into the coaster. Here you can see some of the old dark ride structure. Do you really need to go to the bathroom that bad? The train ride Some more shots of Hurricane It gets bonus points for fire though Another run of the Pirate Show. It's a joke! If you look closely, you can also see Duct Tape's counterpart behind the control panel Close-up of the ride seating. If you look closely, you can see the duct tape holding the lap bar together If you look closely, the wheel system is slightly different, as they are designed to handle the sharp turns more easily than conventional woodie trains The ride was one of CCI's last projects The ride vehicles are also unique in that riders face each other The elevator lift is one of the unique feature of this ride I've been told that the ride was much rougher in the past Back over to LoCoSuMo They had one of those mist walk-though areas We had a view of the lazy river, which reminded me of the RCT rapids ride Every ACEr's ultimate fantasy! But since few of us were ACErs, there was enough to go around All you can eat buffet? You got it! Time for food Casey and the Harem The best part of this ride was the sound effects made by the guns How many points do we get for shooting Ryan's hat? Another statue credit? I love tha thalf the time your description shows exactly what I was thinking at the time(like the lazy river remindimng me of the RCT rapids and basically every other RCT comment you made) Â Â Lol, you're also the only person to have taken a picture of fascination form the other side of the building. RIP Psyclone
The Vekoma bus had McD's in South Park, but Arrow had White Castle AND South Park, haha! That has to be the best couple of captions in any Midwest TR to date! Â I bet despite the pleading from almost 50 people to go to White Castle, Elissa insisted on McDonalds!
