TexTitan01
My question is this: Whats going on with Griffon that is isnt having these troubles? Is it because Griffon has 10 seats per row as opposed to SheiKras 8? Or is it because Griffon was designed to have floorless trains while SheiKra was like "Oi...I want those floorless thingies!" Somehow, I have a feeling BGA will say "F it..." and re-floor SheiKra, which wouldnt be that terrible anyways.
itsme102
You would think with all these technical problems it's having, it would have been designed by Intamin. But seriously, if that keeps up, they should close it down for a few days until they can get the problem corrected.
All Clear
My question is this: Whats going on with Griffon that it isn't having these troubles? I think it's because Griffon>Sheikra.
Tmcdllr
Why is it any less reliable if it is designed by intamin? Thats kind of a dumb thing to say. Do you work for any of these companies? Or are you just some fanboy who spouts false statements and has no real backing for what is said. B
Tmcdllr
Intamin is just as reliable as the rest. And to say otherwise is not true. If it was meant as a joke it was not funny at all and has gotten really old.
Jew
At least they made the computers smart enough to panic when a train is mere inches into the next block. What's so funny about that?
Tmcdllr
If this is being caused by the train not parking correctly in the station it would seem to me that it is just a matter of some fine tuning which really is not that big a deal.
Kumali-
I was there on Thursday and last Wednesday. It was running fine both times, and ran fine. Only time where something happened was when they added more trains onto the track to enable all the station to be used.
crazydaveh
It's run by computers which we all know can be like a two year old at times! As someone else stated, at least it's smart enough to shut down in case of a real problem. It's not who makes it, it's not location, it's just a machine and needs tweaking. It does stink for the people who are stuck on the ride waiting for the EVAC, but with any coaster, we take that risk each time we get on! It's just a part of coaster life people! TheStig
I was there three days ago and SheiKra was only running with one loading station (the rear) open. And also, when it said it evacuated at the brakes on the top of the first drop, you do know there is a set of brakes leading to the holding "brake" right? It was probably from there, but thats just my guess.
Adrenaline_Rush
So if your stuck on the lift hill, do you like scoot across the seats after the restraints are lifted up to get to the car, or what happens?
kraken613
They build floors across the row with metal pannels so you can get out. Its the same on griffon.
dandaman
When I was there Monday, I didn't personally see an evac, but I met a few people that said it had been down for about three hours. (I want to say from 11:00, just after I rode, to around 2:00 when I noticed it running again.)
