RubenTheys Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Very nice pictures! By the way, do those wooden blocks come from the first lifthill which has been blown away?

hyyyper Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Very nice pictures! By the way, do those wooden blocks come from the first lifthill which has been blown away? As far as i could see (looking at the holes and text on it) the answer is.. Yes yours has holes? that's pretty exclusive, i have 3 of them and neither feature holes
thomas2 Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Great photos! I loved the trip. Sorry I didn't reply earlier but I was away this week.
Hhappy Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 As said before i would do a seperate update regarding the hotel at Phantasialand and the Asia Night there.. The hotel was fantastic (to me) and that's why (to me) it deserves it's own updates. Asia Nights gave the possibilty to see the hotel and a small part of the park in a different light as well.. I'll try to give some impressions regarding the atmosphere. Hope you like it. Enough said.. onto the pics.. these will be added in 2 posts.. Part1 The sun is almost down.. it's getting darker outside After entering here's a part of the view.. Hotel entrance Another lobby shot As you can see it's getting darker and they have turned on the lights for Asia Night. After a long day i decided to do a little walk through the hotel to show it in a difeent light.. here is some stairway theming.. Seen from a little bit higher.. Little bit of water fun. Back outside still early morning.. Lobby ceiling (don't ask me how i took this photo..) Reception One of many little details which made this (to me) a great place This is the lobby Water fun inside Outside of the hotel early morning Lou is just waiting for somebody to pic up the box and carry her through the park Ceiling above the entrance Inside of the hotel in the morning
Hhappy Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 Part2 of this small update. I did not have a tripod with me so i just made a selection of the pictures with the least amount of blur due to movement of the camera (and/or lens) I'll try to bring a tripod to the Midwest trip.... i did not fall on my back after drinking too much Since our favorite bar was not opened that evening.. most of us ended up here It did not matter how far you walked.. you would always see some kind of theming around you.. Water in front of the hotel.. or not? It's easy to do but effective if done the right way... I like it No comment Lights Now did you get her phone number? Don't worry, he'll be back next week to perform the same show.. removal of the "hero" (i guess since i did not see everything...) "big" battle... shocked? Showing of some skills More familiar faces I guess this speaks for itself it's in the small details I like it
robinschroder Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Ha ha - nice to see the pictures of me looking shocked! I really thought that guy had been hurt, the way they carried him off stage... Once again, the great pictures just keep coming, Hanno! Great stuff!!
Nrthwnd Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Great Hotel TR! I am very interested in this hotel, ever since it has been built as part of Phantasialand. Your photos of the hotel's interior look wonderful. I hope I will eventually get to see, if not stay, at this one. Excellent choice for doing a separate TR on it. (The night shots look excellent too - I love buildings with good lighting and stuff to make them amazing-looking at night, and even better than they looked in the daytime, lol!)
ECZenith Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Wow, Troy's area is very elaborately themed! Great shots!
DrummingCannoli Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Great TR's so far. I'm really digging that hotel man. Can't go wrong with oriental stuff.
Hhappy Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 Last day of the trip was all about spending some more time at Phantasialand and ERT on Black Mamba. As usual... here's a selection of the pics of that day. post 1 of 4 what's up? I have no clue how i got this picture when there's no train.... Back inside the station.. In the que area you can get pretty close to the ride.. Plastic bag Having fun? Going up.. These made it "hard" to take some decent pictures of this ride and the people on it... Outside.. the people are waiting for the ride to open... ^ more familiar faces Random que thing.... Back of the train.. group photo's now how was that front row? relaxing or "heavy"? Front row goodness a man and his....
Hhappy Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 Post 2 of 4.. we're almost there... yes indeed..... ehmm... Happy faces at one of the foodstands.. underneath the loop on the bridge to nowhere.. More random people.. screemers and neck turning on Black Mamba Random theming near Black Mamba View at the main entrance. or was the word scary? This one was pretty cool.. But it's always good to have some picture i don't wanna walk in that outfit all day... finally, normal faces ehmm.. Was the ride that exhausting? it's green (at least the ceiling..) Time to check out the other rides and things in the park.. Our hotel next year?? Random people enjoying the first drop..
Hhappy Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 Post3 of 4..... something about a face?? young and (a bit) older are having fun Looks like they are having fun more random people.. Random people.. theming A parents nightmare or a childs dream? Bumper cars Don't forget to visit the top floor when you are there Back to the Winja's area ehmm Random small details at the park
