eddie200330
Got this from a link in my Rudefun pic of the day email. Sorry if it has been done before, I searched and seen nothing of it. Here is the description: "The World's tallest, fastest, and longest zipline in South America is an incredible experience for all thrill seakers! de ja vu
Looks like fun. I went on a zipline once at a summer camp but it was only about 50ft high, and didn't go very fast. It was fun though
Goliath513
OMG! That is insane! I wanna ride that! I have done a few zip lines but nothing like this. My cousin got to ride a massive zip line through the woods in Alaska 2 years ago that was similar to this one. Too bad there was no more room left for that excursion. -Sam

asr
To tell you the truth, that doesn't look very fast or exciting. Tall yes, but it was only very fast near the end. It looked much more exciting offride then on it. I'm really not impressed
RRollergod
"How do you get down from this tall zip line?"..."With a stick!!!"
Cyber.Fiber
Wow, It would be alot faster if you were on it in person though!
eddie200330
The video does seem to be "slow" for some reason, but I would imagine going down that line in the hanging position would be pretty darn impressive and somewhat scay.
almightyfire
I have never heard of this type of coaster. Where are some, how do u get down, how much do they cost and how safe r they?
riccoaster
Well it looks it would take awhile for repeat rides.
FLIPDUDE
^^It's not a coaster. I think even Jeff Johnson might agree. Zip lines are basically ropes streched form a hgih place to a low place, which have a pulley or wheel or whatever placed ont op of them with something hanging off of htem like a chair, a harness, a rope, or in this case, a weird skycoaster type taco looking thing. I have one in ym backyard htat my dad made when I was littl ebut sadly now that my feet reach the ground from the very highest point its used mostly as a clothing line. As for the subject of the topic... HOLY **** THAT LOOKS AMAZING!!! I really would love to give it a go. I've been on rediculously tall zip lines but that's insane. Reminds me of a zip line someone showed in a PTR recently where the top of hte zipline was a skyscraper. If I'm ever in south africa I should try and remember to give it a whirl
Groteslurf
Amazing ! In Europe there are also a few of this 'Fantasticables'. I intend to do one this or next month as it is only 2 hours driving from where i live. Plse see also following topic which i opened end last year about these cables. arrowfanman
I'm sure the reason the video makes it appear slow, is because the video is absolute CRAP quality, and because it would appear that you are pretty high off of the ground. I mean, when you're landing in an airplane and you're high above a city, the ground seems to be moving slowly below you, until you get much closer to the ground. Same idea, IMO. Anyway, it looks like a "unique experience", but a bit out-of-the-way for me. -Jahan
alpengeist04
I wonder if BGA is getting one of these, it's mentioned in the article below. The question is how high would it be if they did. It's mentioned about a third of the way down. http://www2.tbo.com/content/2007/jun/30/bz-busch-gardens-gets-nod-for-new-jungle-attractio/

Alpenguy
That comes pretty frighteningly close to the ground. Definitely looks like an amazing experience and sensation of flight, though I wish the guy with the camera got a shot of the lower anchor point... I guess it's just a big tower?
