mmousefan
This is something I found on www.mousegeeks.com Illuminations: Reflections Of Earth Leaveing EPCOT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was mentioned in a WDW Cast Member only newspaper that Illuminations: Reflection Of Earth will be leaveing EPCOT () and will be replaced with Illuminations: Skydance. So far I have no news on what it will feature and how it will be set up and what all the story plot will be about but all I know is it will be there for EPCOT 25th Anaversery that's all I know about it for now. I do not know if Illuminations: Reflections Of Earth will return after EPCOT is done celebrateing its 25th anaversery or not. I am hearing rumors of the possible return of the Tapestry Of Nations parade at EPCOT I don't have any sources confirming nor denying this however the Illuminations:Skydance has just been announced in a WDW Cast Member newspaper I am not sure if this is 100% for sure but I do know it was announced in a WDW Cast Member newspaper. I will be brining more information as soon as I get it. Thanks. -Fancy Mousegeeks.com Site Staff Can anyone confirm or deny this??? I personally wont bother the change if the new show is better. I just hope to see Reflections of Earth before its changed. What do you think??? ~ Joel
Spenceman01
DPI, the company that has done extensive work on many Disney projects, including Illuminations, is currently working on a project called Skydance (http://www.dorseyproductions.com/current.html). It's possible that the CM's story corroborates the internet rumors, or it could just mean the CM read the internet rumors and passed them on. Nothing's for sure until it's announced by the Mouse. Meteornotes
I normally don't like park shows, but this is the major exception. I hope they don't screw it up, as Illuminations is pretty much perfect as it is. dt
coasterdude5
Yeah, it was our major reason for going to Epcot for two nights while we were in Florida, it better stay as good as it was.

BarryH
It should be called "Illuminations: Things that Blow Up Real Good."
vistaway
I think the show is due for a refresh, so it's nice to see it coming (hopefully) this year. I would imagine that they learned their lesson from the Illuminations 25 (version 1) debacle and won't screw with the format too much.

scruffy
From the concept art it looks like some type of movie will play like in Fantasmic. Also you still can see the video goble in the picture.

jedimaster1227
Reflections of Earth is an amazing show in itself- nearly perfect in every way. When it goes away, it will be missed... From what I have been told, Skydance is a more laser-reliant show, though fireworks will be used. The last time I got a description of the project, the main plus about it was that each pavilion of the World Showcase would have a fireworks launcher or laser etcher so that the smoke created from the fireworks could be used almost like a 3-D canvas. If they can get it to properly work, even on a windy night, I think the idea has potential. As for the rumor that Tapestry of Nations may return, of that I am unsure. Several of the dancing figures from the parade are still intact, even being used for special events like New Years at Epcot. Along with that, Downtown Disney has a toy-based mural featuring several of the characters from the parade. On the other hand, I was told that Tapestry of Nations was a pathway-based nightmare in itself as it made traveling the World Showcase a real hassle (and that I can attest to). I would gladly welcome the parade back, along with any other part of the Millenium Celebration (except Journey into YOUR Imagination) as that celebration holds a special place in my memory... jedimaster1227
^If not officially, we already have an unofficial celebration set up for Oct. 1st, 2007. We even have a Illuminations Dessert Party in the Italy pavilion... I can give you details if you want!
Chrissie
Im personally glad. I always found illuminations pretty boring. I don't think I watched it once while I was a CM. But hey, what do I know? I liked the Beverley.
Jwhee
Downtown Disney has a toy-based mural featuring several of the characters from the parade. Bump! Do you know if this mural is still there? If it is, where?

thrillrider
I love this show, but the (what seems like) 20 min globe video in the middle of the show needs to go or get shortened.
