Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Do you think IOA needs another island or what would you like the next ride to be? It would be cool if they added another island with an awesome wooden coaster as its main attraction. Maybe they could put it right in the middle of the lagoon with a bridge from every island going to it so it would be easier to get around. I hope that they put another coaster where Triceritops Encounter used to be. A B&M or Intamin flying coaster or wooden coaster would be nice. What are your thoughts?
BarryH Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I think IOA needs a new ride. The Triceratops Encounter area is ripe for a new one. I'm hoping for a wooden coaster myself.
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 Does anyone know how to contact Universal or make a recommendation for them? I tried their website but it just brings up this Customer Service thing. I would recommend a woodie where Triceritops Encounter used to be.
Zoltan_Kodaly Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 The only thing is, is the old Tri-Top area large enough for a wooden coaster? I think both a wooden and flying coaster would be so perfect for that area, but it seems a flying coaster might take up a bit too much room (as perfect as it would be,) but a wooden coaster can be built much more compact and would fit the whole "rustic" look of Jurassic Park beautifully, and for space purposes several turns could be built out over the water, maybe even an underwater tunnel!
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 An underwater tunnel would rule! I also thought that a woodie would go more with the theme of Jurassic Park. So if anyone knows how to do contact them, like I said before, I would recommend a woodie. Maybe you guys could too!
SharkTums Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I'm still holding out hope for my Captain America Intamin Hyper in Marvel Super Hero Island! Â Elissa "and yes, there is room!" Alvey
maliboomer Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Woodie....nah. It's cool to look over the lake and see the the Discovery Center and the JP building, not some looming Son of Beast. Also how the hell would they theme a woody? 'The dinosaurs started s**ting wood, and you get to ride it!'. Something more like Nemesis I would prefer, sunk into the ground. A wooden coaster just wouldn't fit IOA. Â EDIT: Okay, I sound mean here, but they really wouldn't care what anyone says.
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 I'm still holding out hope for my Captain America Intamin Hyper in Marvel Super Hero Island! Elissa "and yes, there is room!" Alvey  They might do that, but not in the near future. Next will be a ride where TE was. Hopefully a woodie!
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 What about when you look over the lake and see Hulk looming over the lagoon! It would be easy to theme a woodie! I don't see why it would be any harder than themeing a steel coaster!
SharkTums Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Are you so sure about a ride going in the TE area? I thought they've been doing markings between Dudley and JP for a while now. Â Elissa 'don't put anything ON the lake!" Alvey
coasterking Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Its easy to theme wood, think runaway train. You can put fake moss and stuff on it, make it look old and bamboo like. It could be like a cart ride thru the jungle with dinosaurs and stuff.
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 It could be you are on a tour of Jurassic Park and then something goes horribly wrong. What else would Universal do? It has to include something going wrong if it's at Universal!
SharkTums Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 ^I know!!! Â Just once I'd love for a ride where you go to see the Hadrosaurs and you actually get to SEE the Hadrosaurs!!! Â Elissa "stupid things always going wrong!" Alvey
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 LOL! Â Just a question though, what's a hydrosaur?
Stitch Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I don't think a wooden coaster would be a good choice for IOA because they are so loud. When you are at IOA for the most part on all the islands you are able to hear Hulk, imagine a wooden coaster. I like the serinity and feel of being in these differnt worlds, I would rather see a quiet coaster put in.
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 AHA! I've got it! Â It could be a wooden roller coaster, have fake moss and look like bamboo, be in the trees of Jurassic park, something goes horribly wrong(as always), narrowly escape a hoard of rabid dinosaurs, and actually see a hydrasaur at the end!!! It would combine all our ways of themeing it and make one really awesome ride! It would also make almost no noise because Universal would find a way of silencing it!
SharkTums Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 When you ride Jurassic Park River Adventure you get bumped off course by one of the Hadrosaurs before getting to see Hadrosaur Cove! Â Elissa "Booo!" Alvey

shepp Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 How about, in the spirit of Shrek, a Disney Island, where WDW rides get Universalized? The Peter Pan ships crash and explode, the teacups crash and explode, It's A Small World gets hit by a typhoon....
BarryH Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I no what theysys should wo they cshoulf a bag 500frt wodarn craster tyat goes at 2oo mps adn tfat wshoul be soo corl, maen man! Â At first, I thought "Is your spellcheck broke?" but I see now the humor. Â For a new ride, the Triceratops Discovery Trail is the logical place to put something. I can see the much rumored jeep ride going in there. It can have hardasaurs, donkeys, and rodents!
thrillrider1 Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 There will never be a WDW island at IOA. there are rival parks! and rival movie studiois! but i think a woody would be okay, but i would really prefer something better. when was the last time they got a new ride anyway? it just seems like the same park it was when it opened except they get rid of stuff. And on the subject of another island, i just dont think theres anymore room, but if they did build one i think a futuristic one would be cool.
Rooey Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I've just come back from my vacation there and i love the sound of a Captain America Intamin Hyper coaster!
