PKIDelirium Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 News Article Zoning and road issue again. Looking more serious this time.
Wes Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 There's no way a city is going to shut down a park that nets them millions of dollars because a dude is mad about his road.
mcjaco Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Reminds me of the idiots that move next to an airport, and complain about the noise.....
redfoot12 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Or the idiots that move to Kingsmill so BGW can never get their woodie...
Hercules Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Just like Wes said, the town benefits from this economically. I'm sure the guy can be made happy somehow. This definately isn't going to hurt the park a lot. It is just a pain in the butt for them.
Primogen18 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Just cant understand how that guy can be so bitter and stubborn, must have no life... the parks been there how long and hes JUST starting to complain about it?
larrygator Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 the law is the law but the foolishness to single out the amusement park, the race track must bring in 2-3 times as many cars on a busy day. At Rumblefest there might have been 1,000 cars the the amusement but their looked to be at least 5,000 over at the racetrack. Don't those going to the racetrack have to head down the same crappy "country road"? Maybe I'm wrong, does anybody do for sure.

From there you drive by the Rumbler and go down a hill. I'm sure the Magistrate that was out riding the Rumbler on media day is backing up the Jones on this. There are way too many people in Bowling Green on BB's side to let the place close. Just like Wes said, the town benefits from this economically. I'm sure the guy can be made happy somehow. This definately isn't going to hurt the park a lot. It is just a pain in the butt for them. We have ways to make folks "happy" down here : pumps shotgun
Shavethewhales Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Oh wow, this reminds me of the people who live out in front of Bell's and kept them from getting their new woodie for so long. Except for the fact that this is one person... Crazy, just crazy, people can be so... dumb.
exmouse Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Didn't this guy use to be Beech Bends legal advisor. If so would he not have been responsible for ensuring the building of the park was all legal and above board. If it now turns out that wasn't the case could the park sue him for negligence? Likewise isn't the guy using insider information to turn against the park.?
verticalzero Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 The guy is so mad cos he can't ride the B/B Rumbler He could of got treated badly while working for the park and this is his way of getting back at it.

Except for the fact that this is one person... Crazy, just crazy, people can be so... dumb. Those people around Bells where such twits. My soon to be neice has a house right by Bells ( I'll be crashing with my new favorite nephew and neice in law when the new coaster opens )and she has no problem with Bells new ride. Most of those people came long after Bells, and Zingo opened.
mr_teisco_delrey Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I just saw this. http://www.wbko.com/home/headlines/4545056.html It looks like the case has been resolved.
MisterP Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Maybe if they close, they'll move KR to another park with a ride exit that is shorter in length than the Great Wall of Wichita........er, China
