^^ I was thinking that too.

Spoiler Alert!!

So I guess they're gonna go with the 2 storyline thing for a while? Maybe Jack and Locke have to reconnect and somehow reconcile for the timelines to become one?

They could just replay Juliet dying for 47 minutes every week and I'd be happy!

And dying in Sawyer's arms...amazing.

I got all my spoilers from my East Coast friends (thanks guys!), so I may wait till KT's at preschool and Robb's at work on Thursday so I can watch properly. Or else they're both terrible to me while trying to watch something I like!

^I think he is the new Jacob, totally!

I'm still kind of confused about the two story lines. I think the theory Elissa gave me makes the most sense.

What was Elissa's theory? I searched back a couple of pages and couldn't find.

Maybe I'm forgetting something here, but who was in "Jacob's house" when Locke and Ben visited?

^My theory was actually Tyler's theory...giving credit where credit is due!

He has a thought that perhaps these next few episodes are going to show how terrible all of their lives would have been had they NOT crashed, and somehow they will all cosmically pull towards each other and end up back on the island because they all had better lives that way.

Rose will die of cancer

Sun will leave Jin

Jin will keep killing people

Charlie will succeed in killing himself

Claire will have some demon spawn

Kate will get caught again

etc.

It's still looking like my prediction for how the show ends is still on track.

Tonight's episode was indeed awesome. When this show ends, there will really be nothing on any network worth watching.

^My theory on Desmond and Shannon is that in this alternate timeline, Jacob and the other guy (smoke monster) have not been meddling in their lives, so this is how their lives would of been. Daniel's mom doesn't show up in the past to convince Desmond to go the island, so he never went there.

My questions for this week's episode:

Why was Desmond on the plane?

Bigger question was why didn't we see him anymore on the plane or getting off. It was like he disappeared.

At first when I saw him I figured since they set off the bomb in 1977 that Desmond wouldn't have gone to the island. He was on the same plane meaning they were all supposed to meet each other even if they didn't crash.

Edit: Just remembered this, didn't Faraday tell Desmond he was special? Maybe he is like Richard and constantly travels through time and not aging. Therefore, he was on the plane one second with Jack and then went back to whenever.

I think they've made two timelines..

One where the island is still there obviously and they've all been transported back to 2007.. whenever it is. And the other one where the island has been sunk! When they dived down underwater from the plane there was the foot! (and a DHARMA SHARK ) Oh and you could see Otherville with the swing set down there as well!

So in the LAX Timeline, the island isn't there anymore, therefore Desmond never crashed on it when sailing around the world.

I know Lost has always been a bit all over the place, but it didn't seem to flow very well. I'm rewatching it and it the LAX scenes are a bit out of place really.

Lots of JACKFACE though. God I hate Matthew Fox.

^^ Ed I have always felt that the off-island scenes seem very out of place. I also agree that Jack is a total pussy

I'm enjoying the duel timelines, and thought the episode last night was terrific. Nothing that was revealed was too much of a surprise for me, but it was still really well done. The rest of the season should kick ass, now with ninjas!

Confused on all the new characters in the temple.

How does Widmore play into this new battle between Jacob and his nemesis?

When the mercenaries were approaching didn't Ben (or Richard) send every one to the temple. My guess is the mystic Chinese guy and a couple of others were always there, but others like Cindy and the kids only arrived after the mercenaries came.

I think in the end Widmore is the only one that can kill Jacob's nemesis, and Ben is going to have the turn the wheel and return to civilization and convince Widmore to return to the island.

What about when Locke said to Richard "Nice to see you out of the chains". Think that means he was on the Black Rock?

That's what I thought! Especially when we saw that sail ship at the beginning of the incident.

Although I'm enjoying the two storyline "plot device" they're using this year, there has to be something of significance to showing the non-crashing world.

Could it be that our characters are always fated to meet? I like this idea, that even though they tried to change the past (or future, depending on your reference), our main characters are still going to meet up and the fate of the world still rests in their hands.

Desmond showing up on the plane totally took me by surprise. But as I thought about it, could he possibly be "flashing" around time again? Could he have still met up with Faraday and be helping him out with his experiments?

Also, where were Eko, Anna Lucia and Libby? Michael and Walt? Weren't they on the plane as well?

I think that as the season progresses we're going to see the "non crash" world begin to implode. I think it's already started when Jack looked in the mirror and saw he was bleeding. I think that it's Island Jack's wounds beginning to bleed into this other world.

Last, I think that Terry O'Quinn is doing a fantastic job as both Fake Locke and Locke. That is some superb acting right there, and he definitely earned an emmy nod with just last nights episode.

No matter what it is, I'm so glad that Lost is back!

Of course that also means I've watched the last season premiere of this truly awesome, mind bending show!

Only 15 episodes left till the end!

I'm so glad Lost is back. And I'm very glad that internet exist so that I didn't have to wait another 6 months or so before it is broadcasted out here.

So curious for the next episodes and especially for the final plot. Hopefully it won't be a total anticlimax with an open ending though.

"Nothing is irrevrsible." Who would of guessed we'd ever hear Jack say that?

It seems that Locke and Jack have switched bandwagons, Jack is now the man of faith and Locke is the man of science, well in the "plane never crashed" alternate reality. also, did anyone catch Hugo saying "I'm the luckiest man alive" ? It's like everything reversed. (:
