Swimace Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 ACC, meet the SEC. ACC/SEC rival games for the season: Florida > Florida State South Carolina < Clemson Georgia < Georgia Tech The ACC has been awful during the bowl games, but during the regular season they certainly held their own IMO. Not that any of the recent bowl games really matter, since my school will be playing on January 8th! Go Gators!
Jew Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 ^I'm not sold on Texas. They don't play defense in the BIG XII, so OSU will be the most talented/fastest defense Texas has seen this year.
ParkTrips Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 In other news, looks like LSU finally found it's quarterback. I was hoping they'd win, but I didn't expect that beatdown. ACC, meet the SEC. It's too bad Bama's loss takes a little luster off the SEC's good bowl performance. speaking of WTF.. god that game killed me. So many frustrating plays on special teams, and bad coaching calls.
Guest Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Unless they add a playoff IMO no Big 10 teams should ever be invited to the BCS, what a waste of time watching them get their face kicked in every year in the same bowls.

I know it's not a rivalry game, but still.
Jew Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 So the start of the 2009 football season begins tomorrow with signing day! Time for USC to haul in another group of future first round draft picks.
mcjaco Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Time for USC to haul in another group of future first round draft picks. That warm an NFL bench.
Jew Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 ^Or start in the Super Bowl (Troy Polumalu for the Steelers and Deuce Lutui for the Cardinals). Seriously though, the only school that comes close to USC as far as producing talent this decade has to be Miami. They owned the first half of the decade and USC has since taken over. ^^Not USC's fault that everyone unfairly penalized them for one bad half of football on the road against a top 25 team and gives another team with a horrible schedule a free pass for an upset loss at home to a top 25 team because their QB is a Jesus loving fullback.
Meteornotes Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I don't know if USC should have been in the national championship game or not, but they definitely should have been in a better BCS game. They did get robbed there. dt
slither37 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 YES!!! Two years in a row now that the Midshipmen have beaten the hated NOTre dame losing irish!!!! No BCS this year for nd!!!!!! Unless of course the rules change.
stingrock23 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I know lsu lost and i'm upset, but damn glad that notre dame lost. they don't deserve anything. you know what, notre dame? you're no good. this isn't the 1950's anymore. you don't deserve the special treatment you get. no matter what any of you golden domers will say, your team will never win a bcs title again. go suck on that. donkey style!
testtrack321 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Outside of Circuits class: ND is meh, they have fans but talent is missing. Inside Circuits class: ND IS AWESOME! As soon as you write up the test and give me my A that might change...
ParkTrips Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 YES!!! Two years in a row now that the Midshipmen have beaten the hated NOTre dame losing irish!!!! 2nd time in 3 years... ND beat Navy in Baltimore last year IIRC
ParkTrips Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 ^ You're still welcome to give ND as much shit as possible, just be fair
Jew Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Hey, they had another close loss to USC...maybe they will give Charlie Weis another 10 year contract!
slither37 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I must have read the score of the Stanford/USC game. The website I was looking at had the score 55-21 with Stanford winning? Oh and ND, lost, again. I am sure the BCS will still give them a shot at a BCS bowl game. Oh and for the rest of the season, a first down for notre dame will only require 7 yards and the irish will be given 5 or 6 downs to get those 7 yards. Can not really crack on usc too much, the trojans did beat the Bucks. However, one of these two teams is going to the Rose Bowl.
spaceace12 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 And ND blows another one.....Actually had a chance to win it in regulation and fumbled. Then shanked a field goal. So much for the luck.
Jew Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 ^The luck left when they hired Charlie Weis.
ParkTrips Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 ^ I didn't know you could eat luck (Lucky Charms, I suppose)
slither37 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Uconn is undefeated against ND!!! LOL, goodbye charlie.
Jew Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Bumping this thread in preparation of signing day. The college football season (sort of) begins on Wednesday!
