trustkill22 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Bonjour, Je'mapelle Tyler. Comment aples tu? Thats the only thing I really know in french and I cant believe I passed my french compulsary with a 55%. It sucks seeing all these pictures of La Ronde and being on a boat in the river beside the park with school back in Grade 8 made me quite mad than going with my parents to Montreal and not even coming cloes to it made me mad. Those are credits that I think I won't get because my family isn't quite fond of French Canadians and so arent many other people. (Sorry if I offended any French Canadians)
black562 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I took my wife (then fiance) to Montreal with me for a conference and we went to La Ronde and we really had a good time. They had a lot of rides we hadn't seen in other parks...it was like a breath of fresh air.
shesaidboom Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Though from what I hear about La Ronde they did you a favour closing the park. Saved you the pain of actually have to go in. Yes! The park being closed was definately a good thing. I was there the day before [almost did the same thing you guys did and went on Tuesday, luckily my boyfriend checked the schedule!] and I can honestly say I will never go again. Worst time I've ever had at a park. I do have to agree that this is probably the most awesome TR ever.
Canobie Fan Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Well we went back today and had a cool day. Not many people in the park and got many rerides
shesaidboom Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Good to hear it's possible to actually have a good day at La Ronde. It was absolutely packed when we went, even though someone on here said it was the day kids went back to school. It wasn't, they start this week. We only re-rode Goliath since everything else had incredibly long lines/slow operations/one train. I guess we just had a bad trip..three out of the four parks we visited ended up not working out. Glad you guys had fun though.
canada Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Well we went back today and had a cool day. Not many people in the park and got many rerides I'd really love to hear a trip report man. You've definately got a good sense of humour!! By the way I'm glad you had a cool day.
rcoasters Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Well we went back today and had a cool day. Not many people in the park and got many rerides Will you post a TR of the REAL visit soon ? I'm glad you had a great day at my homepark. A good visit at La Ronde doesn't come often. It really depends if luck is with you, or not ! Like shesaidboom said, on the 28th it was really crowded and I couldn't believe it myself. I started school that day, then I realised that only some college and universities were starting on that day. I thought we'd all start on the same day, but I was wrong
Canobie Fan Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 MyTR will come Monday night.. Or sometime tue.
