Mr.Six
The lift hill gear box blew out. Needs to be replaced, and it wasn't really in the budget at the moment for immediate repair. But, the latest I heard is that its been placed back into the budget. But it'll still be a while. _Six PS: ....and that's it. No new special launch, train, track, padding, etc.
gotdane
^Yeah, but I heard it was getting re-tracked for a New Wooden 4D Raft Coaster Prototype. I also heard Aquatrax...somewhere.
Ryan King
^Yeah, but I heard it was getting re-tracked for a New Wooden 4D Raft Coaster Prototype. I also heard Aquatrax...somewhere. Dude, your WAY off! SFMM Paid TONS of Money to get X! Its the sister coaster to the one in Japan. Six Flags DOESNT have the budget to build or even re-construct an already awesome coaster. Where did you get your information from!??!
Jew
^All I know is that I hope X never opens for you.
Loopy
It seems like these boards have been running into this problem a lot lately.... Typical Signs of Sarcasm: 1. or or similar 2. [/sarcasm] or similar 3. Comment is obviously outrageous (i.e. 4d wooden raft coaster) Write these down, and post them next to your monitor. It help while on discussion boards, especially this one. Mr.Six
Yeah, its the gear box. I've been hearing that its going to be closed for quite some time....meaning summer of 07'. _six
weatherkid17
Don't complain about it being closed. You guys still have 14 or 15 more roller coasters to ride. Other parks only have 5 or 6.
Ccron10
BIG NEWS! Screamscape says that X is currently going through rehab and won't open until MID-JANUARY!!!!
SharkTums
That's not really big news, it's been on the website for a week now. And it's not a 'rehab', that's just SFMM's spin on the fact that they're too pathetic to get the part they need. I'm sorry, but having a major ride closed for 6 months due to 'part availability' is totally unacceptable. Actually, having a major ride closed for 6 months for ANY reason is unacceptable! This just goes back to my theory on having two Arrow 4D coasters operating at the same time!
Carnage
Hey, at least they're not saying it's closed due to weather conditions. So they're improving on the quality of their BS.
downunder
For starters, just don't go on a day I go because it will definitely be closed just to piss me off, that is irrespective of whether it was running the day before, or has been shut for six months. It's practically a 4th dimensional Flashback. It's the only reason I would go Tragic Mountain. At least the disclosure that it will be open in 2007 might suggest that the park might actually be operating in 2007, instead of being a bunch of houses. Mr.Six
The actual process of replacing the parts takes about 30 days. So I wouldn't expect to see anything happening over there until December...at the earliest. _six
Ryan King
RCDB-: http://www.rcdb.com/id750.htm According to the Six Flags website, the X will be closed until mid January 2007. Yay! A LOT Sooner then I thought! My Christmas present will be to ride X in January! w00t! -Ryan
Mr.Six
Just to comment. It does seems as if the park is serious about January as they are already making up a crew for X. _six
Xtreme-me
Im going on the 3rd of Febuary witch is the date they say on the website that it will open. What are the actual chances that this will happen and they will have two trains to run?
