Hey everyone,

I did a quicktime compression of the Nasu Highland segment. Can those of you with an iPod Video download it and let me know if it works ok with your iPod and looks/sounds ok?

Also, anyone know the process for putting a button on the site to have it automatically download to your iPod? I'm researching that too, but if someone here has already done it, that would be helpful!

Thanks for your input!

ps. I'm pretty sure this version of the video will also work in iTunes, Quicktime 7, and maybe the PSP.

I haven't tested it, but to get it to work on the Sony PSP try this:

1. Save the video to a location on your computer.

2. Rename the file to MAQ*****.MP4 (where the *'s are digits from 0-9).

3. Copy/Move the file to the \MP_ROOT\101ANV01 folder on your PSP memory stick.

You know you can apply for a Podcast right Robb? Then you can upload it to iTunes and everybody who subcribes can download it! Im pretty sure its free, but not 100% certain. Plus, you dont need to upload a podcast every week or day, so its nice like that.

^ How did you get them on your iPod, and are they as high of quality, assuming you probably just recompressed the .mpg files onto the iPod.

This one I compressed right to iPod from the high quality avi so it should have looked REALLY GOOD on the iPod.

Robb that was the nuts I have to go on a boring non coaster related vacation in a week can we have some more vids as can then sit in the sun and enjoy some coaster Thanks

Ha ha, kind of funny. I've been putting Theme Park Review videos on my mp3 player for well over a month now. I have this mp3 player and it plays Robb's and mostly everyone else's windows media videos at full quality without conversion.

There is a program called Videora which can be foundhere that will convert anything to .mpeg4. And I hate to tell you, but .mpeg4 files being played on iPods wont look like they are DVD quality no matter what. They will look GOOD, but not as high quality as an .avi file.

^ I Just want to add that for Mac users there is a similar free program available for download called HandBrake. It can convert practically any video files (including ones off DVDs) to Mpeg4 or H.264 codecs. I'm using it right now to Convert the Lord of the Rings Trilogy for my iPod.

Also iTunes can convert video files to play on the iPod as long as the video files you want converted are mpeg4 or H.264. Just import the video into iTunes and then right click it and choose Convert Selection for iPod.

Hmmm....I was kind of hoping there would be more interest in this, but with only 22 people having downloaded it, I wonder if it's worth the time to do more videos.

Maybe I'll add a poll to get some more feedback....

Well,, I use my video function on my iPod all the time, and you simply get the video on the iPod by dragging it into your iPod's icon it the iTunes directory list.

I would LOVE a TPR podcast, prefferably audio though.

You could set up a libsyn account, but since you already have a site (with plenty of storage and bandwidth, judging by the fact that you allow anyone to upload 30 MB videos), you can just put the podcasts ont he site, create an RSS feed, and submit it to iTunes.

The process is easier if you create a blog-like page, then it creates the feed for you.

I'm sure you know enough about web design and computers it should be no problem.

I would absolutely love a talk show style podcast with absolutely whatever you want. You can record yourself at the park, or even just talk about random things at home.

It would be awesome!

Also, I have watched many TPR videos on my iPod, the only difference is that I have converted them myself.

^ Well, I'm sorry to dissapoint, but doing an audio podcast is not something we're interested in doing now or anytime in the near future. We just have WAY too much work on our hands to do everything else we want to do with the site.

We may end up doing a series of videos, like the Pound It video, Joey on the Monkey Bars, etc, clips that we would be producing for our DVDs anyway.

We'd like to get our current downloadable videos in an iPod format if it makes sense for the site, but producing an audio podcast just isn't in any of our future plans, sorry.

Well, that does make sense, and I understand it would be a lot of work.

But I know that if you convert videos into mp4, you might as well put them in an RSS feed, and submit it to iTunes (probably your plan anyway).

iTunes can handle video feeds, and you can even use it to watch them.

Doing this would definitely bring more interest from different groups of people.

no, I'm not quite that technical, I just use a video converter I downloaded, It converts almost any video to work with my iPod.
